I dont understand why its still popular when it hasn't done anything new for a while. Adding more pokemon isn't really content.
Just because you're ignorant of actual content they put in each gen doesn't mean they didn't actually put more content in the game
I disagree with Egoraptor almost 100% of the time.
I disagree with Egoraptor almost 100% of the time.
That isn't very unpopular.
Jonathan Coulton is the greatest musician of all time
They add just as much new content to each Pokemon game as Call of Duty does.
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Generation_II oh look, a nice list, with more lists at the bottom.
Wow. They almost add even less than Call of Duty per game.
lol are you sure you know how to read lists
Cross-posting from STGYM since I didn't know this thread still existed.
This is an extremely unpopular opinion, but I don't get the hate on Homestuck. I get that the fandom is obnoxious as shit but it's not like a bad comic or anything.

I think Metal fans are the worst and most hypocritical group of people when it comes to music. They whinge about people not listening to "real" music (when there's no such thing), they act high and mighty about their music tastes and they're often the most unwilling to give any other genre a chance. Really, your music taste should mature and change a little bit to include other genres once you get past 15.
Wtf? are you saying only kids or something listen to metal? and apparently we are bad.... ok.....that makes sense. Also what's with the huge stereotypes? we aren't this bunch of guys who talk about metal is the only true music or something the only thing you can get to that is people talk about what is metal and what isn't. (Which there is nothing wrong with, if a band plays stuff that isn't metal then they aren't metal, it isn't elitism, it's like the dupstep people going on about how Skrillex isn't dupstep, is that elitism to? or are they too trying to keep their genre true?) And most unwilling to give other genres a chance? what do you think we just go "metal is amazing so we dont have to listen to anything else" I don't like pop, rap, electronic, dupstep, country, etc... I think you get the point and I have listened to them before, I just don't like that music. But unless you tell me people from those other genres listen to metal then you would be right but they don't. I've heard tons of people who listen to other genres say metal is shit and they don't like it and it sounds like noise but when we say the same thing to popular genres apparently we are the shit angst kid group? Can you explain how that makes any sense at all? If anything we are the MOST diverse group there is as metal isn't all the same as you have Heavy, Power, Doom, Thrash, Death, Black etc.... and sub genres of each and its not like we all listen to every single one as some people only like a few of those and listen to others and such like I don't like power metal at all but I couldn't care less when Yumyumbublegum posts 600 songs of it in the metal thread. Plus you know how many metal heads I have seen who do listen to other music? and when music comes on that we don't like we really just tolerate it and just don't like it, we don't talk about how it isn't kvlt and not true, while any time I hear someone who doesn't listen to metal hear metal they make a huge deal about how they don't like it and how it's noise. I think metal just gets this bullshit steroptype because of how big and diverse it is you get a lot of discussion of stuff like this which leads to people who don't understand it go "omg metal is filled with angsty emo kids who don't know what they are doing!!" Jesus I'm tired of this bullshit.
Metal fans will even make distinctions among themselves about what is or isn't 'real metal'. Frankly, it's embarrassing. Go to any metal site, mention you like nu metal, proceed to get laughed out of the room.
You get laughed at because it's completely different to the point that the stuff they have in there metal heads don't like at all, we don't like breakdowns and the music at all basically and it's different to the point where it makes sense to keep separate. Seriously I know a girl that listens to metal core and nu metal (wow I know right? how could a metal head like me be friends with someone who isn't true and kvlt like I?!!!) and she even said her self that it's not metal and couldn't care and likes listening to it. I don't understand why people care so much about metal core and nu metal being accepted as metal when the attitudes, the music and the people are completely different to the point that it makes sense to keep separate, hell it's to the point where if you put names of metal core bands next to metal bands you can tell what which band is what by that alone. It's different, just accept that seriously.
No, it is a bad webcomic
Eh, I really can't go as far as to say its bad. I feel it got kind of "meh" after they introduced the trolls and it's almost completely lost my interest by this point. I haven't read it in months. But just because I dislike the direction the story is going, doesn't mean its bad. Its a solid comic that, in my opinion, went in the wrong direction, introduced too many characters, and has an obnoxious fanbase.
(Which there is nothing wrong with, if a band plays stuff that isn't metal then they aren't metal, it isn't elitism, it's like the dupstep people going on about how Skrillex isn't dupstep, is that elitism to? or are they too trying to keep their genre true?)
Skrillex isn't Dubstep tho: his sound deviates from the widely accepted 2 step garage beat template, the 140BPM range (Skrillex typically uses 128BPM more often than not which puts him into the Electro House zone) he uses mid/high-range bass instead of low range/sub bass and he tends to use quick build ups for his drops. For me he represents what went wrong with the genre (don't get me started with the obvious Burial beat plagiarism in his Future Garage foray), the American idea of pushing the sound so far beyond its comfort zone, the idea that the filthiest/most congested sound is the best. Even one of the "Brostep" pioneers agrees. Of course, there is noisier Dubstep that doesn't push it too far, there's still a distinctive melody within said tracks. There's still a sense of of unpredictability and atmosphere in the sound. Skrillex essentially represents the ADHD, X popping American EDM scene. Formulaic, predictable and unsubtle.
It took 3 acts to get to any actual point.
I'd argue that it actually had a point in mind but lost it after 4. A lot of people think its pointless during act 1, but keep in mind that whole first act was a short "tutorial" for when the comic used to be driven by reader submissions and it picked up immediately after. And as for it being convoluted, it wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be at first. I'll admit it did get pretty hard to follow as it got later in the story, but for the first number of acts it was possible to follow if you actually thought about it. As for you not caring about characters, that's just a personal preference. I liked all the 4 main characters, their supporting characters, the midnight crew, and hell even some of the Trolls had some good moments. Still, I'm more of a Problem Sleuth guy if my avatar wasn't a give away. Homestuck was alright in my eyes, I just don't find it as interesting as I used to. Problem Sleuth is just timeless comedy.
Probably my only unpopular opinion I'm infamous for is the fact that I think cream cheese in any shape or form (cheesecake included) is disgusting and vile...

It works the exact same way, if it isn't a certain genre then it isn't and that's the end of it, I don't get why in metal people want everyone to be classified under it if you aren't even going to sound like it, just because you have guitars and harsh vocals does not mean your metal.
Just because you're ignorant of actual content they put in each gen doesn't mean they didn't actually put more content in the game
New Types? New attacks? Those aren't really new content either. Might as well be the same attacks with different animations. Gen 1 was the start Gen 2 was just more expansive with a larger reigon Gen 3 brought double battles, and those boring as hell contests Gen 4.....uhhhh...I got nothing. The Wifi crap maybe? Gen 5.....worthless turn table battles that aren't any different from single battles?
Saturday Night Live isn't funny

cheese is fucking disgusting
I don't get why people hate bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed so much. I like their music.
cheese is fucking disgusting
Blasphemy [editline]6th October 2013[/editline]
I don't get why people hate bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed so much. I like their music.
I like AS, don't worry.
I don't get why people hate bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed so much. I like their music.
Nonsense about "real metal" and what not. They're also really closely associated with edgy teens (the same problem Linkin Park has). There's also many complaints that a lot of Disturbed songs sound the same.
I don't see why people love watching sports so much. I honestly tried, but I can't last more than five minutes without shedding tears of boredom. Watching football (both kinds), baseball, swimming, golf, or any other sport just doesn't entice me. Both Killing Floor and the Left 4 Dead series got old and became boring very quickly.
Saturday Night Live isn't funny
is that an unpopular opinion? does anyone here even watch it anymore
I don't see why people love watching sports so much.
The only time I watch sports nowadays is with my friends/family, for some people it is more of a social thing.

I don't like Star Wars. I don't like Star Trek. I hate comics. I have no reason whatsoever as to why I hate them, but I just do. Don't know why. I really liked LOZ: Spirit Tracks.
From what I can tell, the big appeal of watching sports is getting together with a bunch of people you might not usually hang out with simply because you root for the same team, and then getting hammered.
This and plus they are professionals, I usually don't like watching Hockey but god damn sometimes you get these really good games where the teams play amazingly well and some amazing stuff happens and it's all worth it. If a game is on and it's just useless back and forth junk, shit shots and nothing good happening then yeah it's boring.
I don't like webcomics :x
