Who reads books these days?
I just ordered three new books from my favorite author within the last few days. :v:
Gap Cycle > Dune > Foundation They're all great though.
Theory that i just came up with whilst thinking in fast anime: Incest will be considered almost ok in a few decades, much like homosexuality is now. If you look at it in a totaly objective way: (this is for across-the-line relatives rather than down-the-the line ones) - Sex is nowadays mostly done for fun, not creation of children. - Incest is shunned because of the increased probability that the child will suffer from defects. - If relatives have sex for fun, not making children, it'd be fine. Well. It won't happen as fast as Race/gender/sexual preference equality as not many people do it currently and are subconciously told not to. But it could happen. Personaly i've never felt anything for any of my relatives. Most of my dislike of the idea is because everyone else has that opinion. i'd never thought about it before.
The new Smash Bros needs to have this song in its soundtrack
I think that the comic industry, especially for the superhero genre, is slowly dying. The only way that these characters seem to be making their impact on popular culture now is via movies and television. Not a lot of people give two shits about comics anymore and the industry is nowhere near as strong as they were in they were back in the Golden-Silver Age. The writers that the comic runs usually get are generally poorer than what they could get back then and comics are also harder for the common people to find. I'd say that reading superhero comics is also a hard hobby to pick up. Plus, the people who should deserve credit for their work in the comic industry are generally pushed aside for the bigger names. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster were shat upon by DC and they effectively spat upon Siegel when they made all of his stories 'non-canon'. They had the balls to do this while he was still alive. It's hard to follow your favorite superheroes if they seem to be more controlled by business men rather than their actual creators and writers. People like Jack Kirby are ignored and instead overshadowed by people like Stan Lee. The fun and imagination of the old comics seem to be lacking and so no wonder Alan Moore's pissed (a bit too much) at the state of the modern superhero in comics.

I hate Odd Future.
i don't mind trap music
i don't mind trap music
It can be good if it's done right.
i also dont like candy, id rather have fruit
facepunch feels more and more like the novel Brave New World every day :v:
I find Seth MacFarlane painfully unfunny
And they should consider having SOUND HOLIC to do the music...
Well, the awesome thing about Brawl's soundtrack is that it's composed by pretty much everyone who worked with a Nintendo system. While i agree that Sound Holic are quite awesome at what they do, I can't help but think that the only SH songs that should be used are the Rockman Holic stuff. On the topic of Smash Bros' music, I'm curious as to how Metroid's soundtrack would sound if done by Alexander Brandon of Deus Ex and Tyrian fame
facepunch feels more and more like the novel Brave New World every day :v:
Speaking of which, Brave New World is a poorly written book. It has massive identity issues resulting in what I thought were jarring transitions from being serious to being satire. Made it very difficult to read and certainly didn't contribute to the supposed totalitarianism of the plot.

I think Aldous Huxley admitted as much in the essay prologue of the version I had, said it was from his youth and while he wanted to improve it doing so would detriment the idea behind it. Which I really have to disagree with on all accounts.
France was actually pretty awesome at certain points in its history.
Incest will be considered almost ok in a few decades, much like homosexuality is now. If you look at it in a totaly objective way:
As long as you don't have sex with both sisters. I don't see what the big deal is. Royal families have done it for centuries and have turned out completely fine.
I think Attack on Titan is a horrible anime jk nobody thinks that

But I do think you're write and I can't say I like it.
France was actually pretty awesome at certain points in its history.
If more people looked into history I really doubt this would be unpopular, now it's just people saying "Hurr france ww2". Before that france had a pretty kickass track record, and it took a huge blunt of the fighting in world war one like a fucking MAN. Hell, even for world war 2, we had the french resistence who were badasses themselves.
I think Attack on Titan is a horrible anime jk nobody thinks that
I think i've said this before in this thread, but AOT is so hilariously over-dramatic i can't possibly take it seriously.
I think i've said this before in this thread, but AOT is so hilariously over-dramatic i can't possibly take it seriously.
Welcome to anime. AoT is far more tolerable than most I've seen.

I hated the end of Breaking Bad. Sorry, I didn't give one fuck about Walt after the third season. Spoiler: [Sorry, don't know the code yet. D:] He's an asshole and I wish he died in a worse way. I wanted to know what was going to happen to Jesse.. And he just drove away.
People look back and see Agincourt, Pavia and Waterloo as well.
Stroll around the streets asking those, you'll get a lot of people who don't know
Star Wars: The Old Republic is not a Massively-Multiplayer Online RPG, but a Cooperative Online Single-Player RPG.

Also yeah Breaking Bad's ending was sort of predictable, but I think that's because of all the theories circulating around before it aired, and that a lot of people would be upset if it ended any other way. [editline]11th October 2013[/editline] I guess it was also kind of anticlimactic considering other things that have happened in the series
The Wii is a pretty decent console, all things considered.
