When I say faggot, I mean what Louis CK means when he says faggot
This is pretty much what I do. :v:
The Shivering Isles expansion for The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is the best expansion of any video game I've ever played in my life. [editline]16th October 2013[/editline] If not that, The Ballad of Gay Tony.
Faggot should not be used as a derogatory term for gay people, there are more sensible words that can be used. Faggot should be a general insult instead because it means "you are only useful as firewood", which is pretty awesome to say to someone who's pissing you off.
I dont ungerstand that it. We cant use the word faggot because of gay people Are we not allowed to use the word "bitch" because of women? Will we not be able to say "bastard" because of men? People take words too seriously.
One thing that I don't get is all the hate for the xbox 360 hardware. I've had mine for maybe 6-7 years now and it has never overheated or red ringed. The controller was great, and the hard rive was easily accessible. And not to mention great file file storage and modding. I begin to use a ps3 and the hardrive goes corrupt and I lose my online account and DLC.
School isn't just about giving you an education (I mean it's mainly about that). Sports are a great way of learning to work in a team, they teach discipline, determination and teamwork. I do agree with you that they shouldn't be the main focus of a school and from what I've heard about American schools it's a muuuch bigger thing than over here in the UK. Basically, I agree with you to a certain extent but disagree with your point that they should never be a part of school.
Honestly, from the perspective of someone who has actually tried sports (and didn't really like competitive sports, although playing with friends is always nice), sports was almost always geared towards competition amongst you, the other team, and even your own teammates. I mean, all the basketball players here seem to do is berate one another to try and be superior. Sure, they work together in principal but not in mentality, and that is one of our biggest setbacks. It is all about you and how you are some special snowflake who will make it too the big leagues (not literally implying you as a person, I just mean a vague you) that seems very counter-productive to the supposed "teamwork" these sports represent. Furthermore, all 3 of those things can and are taught as part of the normal curriculum. Group work is a common practice in schools in the US, and learning responsibility and respect for your superiors is all part of the game. So yes, sports does provide some good, but at the same time standard education provides it just fine on its own. My analogy of videogames at the workplace, silly as it may be, still stands; videogames can promote unity and teamwork in a clan or team, but they are mostly singular competition and in the end still have no relation to the work at hand. But the biggest thing that kills it for me (that the UK doesn't have such an issue with) is how much funding gets allocated to sports. Sports and athletes get fucking worshiped here, so damn near 30% (or even more) of a schools funding actually goes to sports. That is pretty huge when you factor in the fact that they still need to pay for salaries, maintenance, supplies, and even bills before getting the chance to spend any money on extracurricular stuff, meaning almost 60% [sp]Admittedly I am just pulling these statistics out of my ass from personal experience. They serve as my best guess[/sp] of their net funding goes to sports and sports-related activities. That is insane.
I don't care for the Walking Dead. The comic and tv show bore me. The video game was quite entertaining.
I missed last Sunday's episode and I don't feel too bad about it. It's the worst show that I still watch for some reason.
Be that as it may, I'm going to carry around a dictionary with the word "faggot" bookmarked. That way if I call someone a faggot and they claim I'm being a homophobe, I'll show them the page and be like "assigning a word to be derogatory? You're the homophobe!"
[t]http://i.imgur.com/ZutXHWB.png[/t]
everything is terrible no matter what (except chinese food)
Transphobes are self-idolizing bigots The death penalty is fucking barbaric Quantum mechanics isn't hard to understand I hated the Witcher 2 No country should have a standing army in times of peace No firearm should be banned Nationalized healthcare is great Obamacare is the exact opposite of nationalized healthcare

Note that languages do evolve, and though faggot formally refers to "a bundle of sticks" it does have a secondary, more-recognized meaning.
I don't see why it's such a crime for me to be Right Wing on this Forum. It seems ironic to me that for a forum of supposedly tolerant and liberal people, a lot of people are so intolerant of different opinions, that amounts (ironically) to borderline Bigotry. My opinions are just as valid as theirs and they should respect mine the same way I respect their opinions I do think that Immigration is a problem in that it's too easy to get into this country, that isn't because I'm some xenophobic racist, it's because there are problems it can bring such as housing shortages, tension within communities and unemployment, now I am well aware that 90% of immigrants are perfectly good people and we should welcome them, and tightening up immigration is about stopping those 10% of bad immigrants so that the 90% have a better time here. What is so bad about that?
I have never really seen FP make fun of Republican for just being one, usually they hate them based on certain things (if that person is racist, homophobic, bla bla bla) you know, like no one is going to care that your a republican as long as you don't say something stupid (or well at least what I have observed) So people who are actually racist or homophobic and such, their opinions are not valid though and I couldn't care less who makes fun of them because they deserve it. On topic, I think people who make the horn sign a lot, wear leather jackets (like the very metal/biker ones), combat boots and such but either don't match it with the attitude, listen to metal or is a biker are dumb, it's like people who wear band shirts but don't listen to that band (which I can't believe actually happens like how retarded are you to do that?) it's just weird as hell. It's like if I dressed up like how people who listen to rap and hip hop do and wore a tupac shirt but listened to metal and head banged......like it makes no sense at all and looks weird, so if your at least going to go for that biker/metal look, at least match or your giving off a completely weird vibe (like when my sister wears a very rockish/metalish leather jacket but listens to generic pop and doesn't have the look or attitude for it, it just feels awkward as hell)
-snip-
I think The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite and GTAV are all good games in their own rights but none of them are a 10/10 to me.
If not that, The Ballad of Gay Tony.
I liked TLAD best out of IV and TBOGT.. because I actually gave a shit about Johnny. Luis didn't interest me much and I'd care about Niko if Rockstar had written him better, but that's a different story.
I wish more posts in here had more detail, like this one
Transphobes are self-idolizing bigots The death penalty is fucking barbaric Quantum mechanics isn't hard to understand I hated the Witcher 2 No country should have a standing army in times of peace No firearm should be banned Nationalized healthcare is great Obamacare is the exact opposite of nationalized healthcare
Some of those I'd be curious to know why, such as the witcher 2 one. also that last one is untrue but I'm guessing you don't mean it literally.
Diablo 3 is a very enjoyable game and I don't regret owning it [sp]I play on console so I don't have to deal with the auction house and always online nonsense[/sp]
That we can never solve sexism.
Unless it's shitty airplane toilet paper, two squares is more than enough.
Niko is the worst GTA protagonist, he's just so fucking boring and dull, much like the rest of IV The story in general is just a big snorefest
I got bored of the black guy in V far faster.
If your opinion about something isn't respectful or responsible, then you shouldn't be allowed to have it. This applies to things like hate speech, not subjective opinions.
Your point being?
My point is that, as a bisexual, while I appreciate that you're trying to make a derogatory term...well, not a derogatory term and remove the homophobia from it, trying to be clever by using a definition that's more antiquated than the word 'rapscallion' isn't exactly going to help much
Opinions can be wrong. Peter Jackson hasn't directed a good movie since The Frighteners. Bioshock Infinite is the best of the series. Deus Ex's gameplay is pretty terrible, so it's really hard for me to get into it. Amnesia A Machine For Pigs is better then The Dark Descent. How are those for unpopular?
My point is that, as a bisexual, while I appreciate that you're trying to make a derogatory term...well, not a derogatory term and remove the homophobia from it, trying to be clever by using a definition that's more antiquated than the word 'rapscallion' isn't exactly going to help much
They should have fagot as a bunch of sticks, and faggot as the homophobic one. Should be amusing :v:
Opinions can be wrong. Peter Jackson hasn't directed a good movie since The Frighteners.
You did that on purpose, didn't you.
Gotta cover my tracks.
If your opinion about something isn't respectful or responsible, then you shouldn't be allowed to have it. This applies to things like hate speech, not subjective opinions.
I'd like to think that i have all these hateful opinions because i'm smart and they're pretty much facts. Then again i'm not very subjective and often i have the emotional pallet of a sun-baked rock. But you're speaking shit here. What am i supposed to do about my hateful opinions? Should i change them? "Catholics aren't weak (emotionally) and Shitting on people isn't an unpleasant fetish"? I don't think so. How the fuck do we rid the world of Catholics without getting vocal about something?
Quantum mechanics isn't hard to understand
How much quantum mechanics have you actually studied
