idk the ui makes sense to me, I've been playing for a while though I don't see how the ui could be changed to be better
I dunno, Gnomoria seems to work very well in that department. It's not as in-depth as Dwarf Fortress or quite as difficult either but it's actually playable when it comes to the UI.
This gen's pokemon fucking SUCK. there's more vegetable pokemon than ever now.
I don't think Morrowind is the best Elder Scrolls game.
Is it bad I like Skyrim best? Everyone treats me like shit because it is all "watered down" and "streamlined" for "casuals gamers", and it admittedly is. And when in the history of ever has that been a bad thing? Complexity doesn't make a game good. Hell, sometimes depth isn't even what makes it good. For me, it is how much actual, honest to god fun I have when playing it. Skyrim was way more fun too me than, say, Red Orchestra II, ArmA 3, or Dwarf Fortress, which are all games I like (well, I don't care for RO2) but Skyrim was just more fun. There is a childike glee to be found in simplicity, and it certainly helps that I don't have to wade through monotonous menus or worry about complex stat-allocation and character building like in most MOBA's. Don't get me wrong, Oblivion was better in many respects (but both are very "generic" for the time they were made: there was lots of focus on grassy meadow "medieval England" type lands in Oblivion's time and Skyrim has the new "Northern viking German dark fantasy" shit where everything is dark and grey) but I got more immersed in Skyrim. I think it was a combination of a lack of potato faces and the fact that things felt like they had weight. Small changes that made a better experience, where as Oblivion has many large things but they don't effect you if you don't actively seek out those quest lines. Not being a stealth guy, I didn't do either Thieves Guild of Dark Brotherhood stuff in either game, which was one of Oblivion's best strengths. But the biggest thing that separates Oblivion and Skyrim from most games is the combat. It is very streamlined, but I find it way more immersive and engaging than any other RPG to date. In most games, you click an enemy and watch you guy run up and whack them repeatedly while issuing special abilities. I fucking hate this system more than the AM Master Computer hates humanity. It is boring as fuck. You don't maneuver, most games lack dodging as a major mechanic, and you don't feel like the character you're playing as. You feel more like their coach, cheering them on from the sidelines. So there is my long winded rant that most people won't agree with but hell, this is the Unpopular Opinions thread.
The first Red Orchestra is much better than the second. Nobody ever plays though.
This gen's pokemon fucking SUCK. there's more vegetable pokemon than ever now.
psst we've always had that. hell in gen 1 we had pokemon that were pretty much piles of shit, and just regular animals like that seal.
Well it is seven years old now.
TF2 will be seven next year.
TF2 will be seven next year.
TF2 is still kept up to date.
Dark Souls is really easy once you get the hang of it.
Dark Souls is really easy once you get the hang of it.
Not exactly unpopular. Actually, I bet you won't find a single dark souls veteran that says it isn't easy when you get the hang of it
Pokemon X and Y seems rushed.
psst we've always had that. hell in gen 1 we had pokemon that were pretty much piles of shit, and just regular animals like that seal.
I actually think pokemon works better when they're resemble real animals. But at the same time, I think we can all admit there are way too many pokemon. Especially considering how a great deal of them suck stat wise.
I never really got any enjoyment out of Left 4 Dead. I mean, I played it with friends and alone. Everyone else seems to like it. I just don't get it.
Pokemon X and Y seems rushed. I actually think pokemon works better when they're resemble real animals. Especially considering how a great deal of them suck stat wise.
Eh, at least with the smogon tiers, you can use pretty much any pokemon you want. I mostly like pokemon for the designs and the mythology behind them, so the old ones that are just based off of real animals seem lazy/boring to me. Most of gen 1s pokemon are very simplistic which sometimes works and then uh You took a bull gave it 3 tails A+
I always think their are some shitty retarded looking pokemon in every gen but the issue for me is that both Delphox and the whole evolution chain for Chespin are retarded. [t]http://i.imgur.com/6x9xl2M.png[/t] Froakie is the only good looking one in my opinion Chespin turns into a megazord and its first evolution is ugly as fuck Delphox just looks mighty fucking stupid. I can't take it seriously
One theory I heard is that they're supposed to resemble the typical classes in RPGs, and I can totally see that. Froggy is a rogue, fennekin is a mage, and chespin is a warrior tank.
I don't understand this Pokemon shit
I don't understand this Pokemon shit
Ignorance isn't a good thing it's pretty much monsters that you put into your pocket and then you send them out and some people wanna make love to them no h8 4 them tho
Eh, at least with the smogon tiers, you can use pretty much any pokemon you want. This is laziest pokemon Its a Pincone with eyes, and its name is Pineco. I cant really think of anything that tops this. But back to my Unpopular opinion, since I beat X, Im noticing theres almost no post game in this one. Which is pretty garbage, since most of what pokemon is. Think I'll wait for Z before I actually buy this.
DmC:Devil May Cry was fun
In legal trials, regardless of how evidence is obtained, it should still be accepted as evidence. There are cases where jury's have to disregard things because they are discovered illegally or without probable cause, which is bullshit.
on the topic of pokemon, second gen is the best
Well it is seven years old now.
Plus, there were a bunch of people playing before the sequel came out, I played it for a good year with full servers until RO2 came out. Fortunately Tripwire fixed up classic mode in RO2 and there are vehicles coming so the game should be more like RO1 (I remain optimistic forever lol)
I hope RAYHALO never gets banned. Not because I agree with him or anything, but because he's a fucking loon and is fun to watch.
No idea if this is unpopular, but I think that the whole "You should never hit a woman" crap is bullshit and stupid. Before someone says "omg isnipeu thinks ppl should go around bashing women" I'll try to explain what I mean. Saying this gives the idea that all women are weak, can't defend themself and never hurt others, when this is really not the case at all. There's no reason why women should be treated differently when it comes to most things, including this. It is sexist to say that a man can't fight back if a woman attacks them. This site explains it better than I ever could. http://www.returnofkings.com/1106/the-myth-of-never-hitting-a-woman
Telling someone to live their life with no regret is the equivelant of saying "be an arse and don't feel bad about it or try to fix things"
I hope RAYHALO never gets banned. Not because I agree with him or anything, but because he's a fucking loon and is fun to watch.
It's too late. He's gone. [editline]Celebrate good times, come on![/editline]
More like
I don't care about this Pokemon shit
Never understood why people liked it, but too each their own. Of course, it seems like anyone who hates Pokemon gets shit on.
90% of vehicle sections in FPS's tend to frustrate me and piss me off
I feel like the only person in the universe that likes Dear Esther.
More like Never understood why people liked it, but too each their own. Of course, it seems like anyone who hates Pokemon gets shit on.
Yea, that is what I meant, I mean okay, the cartoon was okay when I was a kid.
on the topic of pokemon, playing competitive legitimately is a complete and utter waste of time. IVs are just straight up not fair and training competitive teams takes way too long. i don't get why so many people insist on playing it legit when theres battle simulators that not only remove all the pointless grindy bullshit, but have clauses and tiers set in place to keep the game balanced and a full matchmaking/ranking system, and its FREE. i just can not fathom why anyone would willingly pay money for a blatantly more inconvenient option
