I don't understand how people can cry at videogames. Friend told me he cried when he played The last of us (which I think is okay but certainly not game of the year) and I just couldn't comprehend it. Played quite a bit of games now but never cried or anything. I think it's just odd.
It's the same idea as crying from a book or movie. Depends on the particular person in question too.
We should change the spelling of foreign words to match our language.
Jalapeño (halapeno)
Jarl (Yarl)
fjord (fyord)
so on and so forth.
Also the letter Q isn't necessary. It could easily be replaced by 'kw' or 'ky' (in old english there was a letter that was replaced by 'th', so it's not as if this hasn't been done before)
the letter that replaced th was a printing thing, not a letter unto itself
same thing if you ever see what looks like an accented a - that's actually printing shorthand for either "am" or "an"
they did it to save space on the paper and save ink
printing in the 1500s/1600s was dumb
Play Red Dead Redemption

The only part of Read Dead Redemption that made me cry was [sp]being stuck with Jack Marston's Voice[/sp]

Also I this bathrooms should remain separated based on genitalia.
How will you verify genitalia on entry? Do you currently ask fellow bathroom visitors if they have a penis or a vagina?
Individualism is a pox on humanity
[editline]31st October 2013[/editline]
even the word humanity is imbued with a collectivity. The whole notion of being a homo sapiens immediately connects us as beings yet somehow we construe that to fucking each other over repeatedly
Well given that individualism has had a long and deep history in philosophy with it being most of the basis behind the concept of freedom and in turn being heavily influential in the development of human rights I wouldn't exactly say it's a pox on humanity. That's just shitting on thousands of years of intellectual thought and humanism.
People say that World at War was the last good COD game, I thought it was pretty shit, Same with 3. And I enjoyed the modern warfare series, Sure they were short but it was badass.
World at War was pretty mediocre, the "war is gruesome and terrible" theme was so terrible. Usually at some point there came a cutscene that was terribly scripted and just shoved some brutality in your face and thus trying to persuade you that war is terrible. It was pretty unreal and to heavily scripted. Furthermore the level design was horrible filled with invisible walls and restricted areas.
I never understood why people liked it so much.
The multiplayer was quite fun

Cod campaigns should be more like black ops 2, where it pretty much says "fuck it" to telling an intelligent story, and just goes all out with a fun but sorta dumb story and good action.
tho black ops 2 had some pretty low parts in the story, especially the one where you pretty much walk place to place listening to conversations
The issue is that CoD games try to have this super mega intelligent plot but it really fails because it's just badly written. They should just make it more basic without world conflict and secret agents and overthetop plots that don't fit the game. It tries to appear more grand than it actually is.

Or just be as over the top and cliche as possible for entertainment value.
That is why I never enjoyed the story. CoD has much pseudo-realism and tries to have a realistic feel but the story is just overthetop and outright silly. If the basic design and feel to the game wouldn't be so tacticool, it would benefit the game much more. It doesn't match up well, it's hard to pull that off in games.
I like CoD for being over the top and silly. Its been a staple of the franchise since the very first game in 2003.
I really dont care if transgenders go male or female, thats not what bothers me.
Unfortunately most people do though and transgender people face very real threats of violence if they are forced to use the bathroom of their sex rather than gender after transitioning.
Some links with articles backing that claim up: [1] [2]
Second one being the better option since it's more recent and is on an acceptable news site rather than a blog.
Well that has less to do with bathrooms and more with people being dickwads.
The world is getting better, though. Slowly but surely. Even if the bathrooms are turned into one, that won't change the hate, only time and protest will.
It does but for the time being at the very least it would be better to do it realistically by gender. Of course there's going to be an issue if someone identifies as a woman but looks like a guy going into the women's bathroom but there would be just as big an issue if someone who identifies and looks like a woman was forced to use the men's room simply because they happened to own a penis. There needs to be a middle ground really rather than the more extreme views that both transgender people and those who aren't specifically supportive of transgender people have.

If anything, CoD isn't over the top and silly. It's a franchise that -with a few exceptions- takes itself too seriously.
I own a par of Dr. Dre headset and i like them

if someone threw them onto my lap and said "enjoy motherfucker", I would, they're a little like macs or alienwares, they're perfectly fine to have, but aren't the best for the money.
I think that Zelda games are really overrated, I played a few of them but it wasn't as mind blowing as anyone claims it to be. Although the one on the Snes is really good.

It's bizarre, but in a way it's both. CoD does, primarily in IW's hands, take itself far too seriously, but at the same time manages to be over-the-top and a bit silly. In that respect it's sort of similar to Warhammer 40k (I'm not saying the franchises are alike in other respects, just that one).

Especially Ocarina of Time.
Yeah, it was good, but it wasn't anything spectacular. Really, pretty much none of the Zelda games live up to their hype.
call of duty is still a good game series, i just wish they didn't shit one out yearly and also that the M rating was more strictly held so the community would stop being so shit
I think Wrecking Ball is a pretty okay song.
Eminem is shitty and tries too hard and complains far too much.
I feel like people from Eastern European countries, especially Russia, are the dumbest users on this site.
I dont know why, but every time I see a racist/homophobic remark, I almost immediately know it came from someone Eastern European, and surely enough, I'm right.
While i don't fully agree with your statement. I've worked in retail for five years, and Eastern European women are 10 times more likely to be rude than any of demography I've ever served. I don't like to consider myself a racist or anything, but it cannot be a coincidence.
I use to work in an ice cream store. One of the major complaints was mothers giving their toddlers a cone, and the toddler tipping it so the ice cream falls out. Usually, the mother would apologise for the mess, and I'd happily make her another, taking care to make sure it won't fall out this time.
100% of the time (And no, that's not an exaggeration) when the mother was Eastern European, she would automatically get angry at me for "not making it properly" and demand another one. Disregarding the fact that her two year old just held the ice cream upside down, and ice cream isn't made of superglue.
People who complain about referring to the United States of America as "America" are total idiots and should be pushed in front of buses.
I fully support the EZLN.
Cool bunch of mofos.
