I find it to be sort of the game of the thread, "Let's see how many dumbs/disagrees we can get on one post" So far my pokemon post has done quite impressive.
Wrong and right as they pertain to existential and intangible things can only exist within a context or system of values. They do not exist in a vacuum. There is no "is ought" without "I am" and "I speak".
Seriously I enjoy learned people and academic conversations but I'm pretty sure this is psychology, and not easily talked about by those who have never studied it.

That said I understand and agree with your post above that.
Chrismahanukwanzakah should be recognized as a holiday. (Or if that don't work, we could settle for Decemberween as a politically correct alternative)
No, the holiday that needs to be recognized is "Happy Shut the Fuck Up"
No reason, just my opinion, and it is unpopular, hence the reason it was posted in the "unpopular opinions" thread. I wasn't told I had to give reasoning in order to persuade others into a belief similar to mine. I just posted an unpopular opinion. You are proving its validity to this thread.
Then they'd be your favorites, which doesn't mean all the others are useless.
Hell, even for use, we needed the dark and steel types to fight the ridiculous overpowered-ness of psychics.
It's like saying red/blue/green were the highest quality games which is just flat out wrong.

I know this thread isn't for popular opinions but that was an idiotic post.
I secretly admire Hitler's moustache.
Been watching Game Grumps as a way to forget about my depression (long story), and I've come to the ultimate conclusion.
I like Danny ten million times better than Jon.
Konami should release a Castlevania game focusing on a young Julius Belmont. (And yes, i know that such events would involve a castle siege in 1999)
Pokemon's single player is useless in my opinion. Its story is terrible and obviously shittier than the majority of other JRPG Titles. The single player difficult is easy as fucking shit. Its the reason no one except the competitive multi player nerds care about IV, EV, and abilities because there is no incentive to caring in single player.
also you don't need to add 100 pokemon every fucking game if you intend on having a single player experience. No one gives a shit about catching them all because there is no motivation to do it since half of the pokemon are pretty much useless, and you get like a shitty certificate anyway. What you need to do is make a better story and have better characters. Either that or remove the single player option entirely and just make it a battle simulator. Probably the only games which didn't have piss easy single player where Gen 1 and 2.
I don't play turn based games for multi player but for the engaging single player elements. Elements like good story, difficulty and interesting characters.
It sucks that my whole DS library (I'm fine with my Gameboy being majority pokemon) is mostly pokemon games which have no replay value and are basically the same thing.
also fuck you Nintendo with your dumb as fuck events. "Go to Toys R Us for a legendary?!?!"
I swear to fuck that is the stupidest shit ever. One of the several reasons people hack their pokemon games.
That shit isn't worth the time and effort
I find the events a lot of fun, get to meet some other pokemon fans there as well.
Also fuck yes for the single player, they could add two modes, easy & hard. The single player is really easy because a lot of kids play the games, even gen 1 and 2 had very easy single players. I disagree about half of them being useless, especially if you play in the smogon tiers, about 99% of them can find a legit use, and then 1% make great gimmicks.
though there should be some alternative ways to get the legendaries I agree, such as a series of specific ingame challenges, or have it where you get them from one of the console games (Like celebi from colloseum)
Wouldn't that mean most villains in history?
If we're talking about fictional villains, I've always considered it almost required that, in a good movie/game/etc, that the antagonist have a major, middle finger to the face at least ONCE. One thing that fucks with me, and gives me some kind of motivation or interest in their downfall. If it's somebody like Loki, who basically does nothing but dick around with his staff, there's pretty much nothing to make you care about weather or not he loses, because he hasn't done anything obscenely bad that directly touches me on an emotional level.
Pulp Fiction is pretty good but waay overrated.
I like Jackie Brown more.

I really hate how people spoil movies like that, along with stuff like the matrix, etc. the really good parts of pulp fiction were parodied/repeated so many times when I watched it there wasn't too much. Never even began breaking bad because everyone was like "OH GOD X HAPPENED" on facebook.

I never watched Breaking Bad until a few weeks ago. I honestly have no idea how I made it so long without getting spoiled.
Also I hate some sites/people who would spoil shit out of nowhere as a joke. Like Cracked.com, decent site but in alot of movie articles they will do shit like "btw X dies" for laughs. Its not funny assholes.
Wouldn't that mean most villains in history?
there's a difference between losing and lacking the capability to win but losing out in the end
I think what kartoffel was trying to say is that if a villain had no chance to begin with, then he's hardly a good villain
If I ever have children I'm not sure that I'd want to tell them about Santa.
I mean there would still be presents of course, but people giving gifts to each other just sounds like a more friendly holiday and a better example for children than them magically getting what they want.
i want lots of children; that way if one is disappointing i'd still have others.
I like Sansa better than Arya and Danaerys.
Any pokemon after the first 151 is useless.
You can't just make a statement like that without backing it up
[editline]11th December 2013[/editline]
Oh right, you can't
i want lots of children; that way if one is disappointing i'd still have others.
just keep pumping them out until one of them hits success
I really hate how people spoil movies like that, along with stuff like the matrix, etc. the really good parts of pulp fiction were parodied/repeated so many times when I watched it there wasn't too much. Tell them to fuck off and stop posting spoilers then
or hide people you think will do it
Death Grips and The XX are garbage
disclaimer: I have shit taste in music
it's not a shit taste, it's a different taste. Like I would not personally rate a lot of the music you listen to highly, but that's not because my taste is 'superior' I just look for different stuff in music
:-)
I would be interested to hear what it is you don't like about them though
The whole strategy genre is absolutely shit.
I like Sansa better than Arya and Danaerys.
in the tv series the three of them are terrible. Arya doesn't develop at all and the actors aren't likeable. Sansa is probably the least shitty.
in the books...
danaerys is oft weak.
sansa becomes cool in the later books when she stops being so 'sansa'.
Arya is consistently magnificent.
then again all of the tv characters are less interesting than their book counterparts (except for the maid o' tarth who's a snore fest in the books)
I honestly think the Dark Knight trilogy and Heath Ledger as Joker (to a certain extent) is very overrated and the "darkness and edginess" is way too forced.
I prefer the old lighthearted Batman movies and definitely Jack Nicholson as the Joker.
These weird skins being used on Facepunch (blurry posts, 1920s) should be availabe as options on the User Control Panel
Tekken 5 is my favorite in the series. Even more so than 2 or 3.
The whole strategy genre is absolutely shit.
My only problem with modern day strategy games is that they are all so fast paced. I used to love building my base, now its all about apm and micro/macro skills.

It'd be too boring to put a turn based strategy game on live TV :v:
Also, Arkane should pry the Strife: Quest for the Sigil IP off of Rogue Entertainment's cold, dead hands.
Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door is and always will be my favorite Mario game I have ever played.
and yes, i have played super mario galaxy 2

the bosses in super mario galaxy are garbage, for both games.
