Not sure about the popularity of this post but I want to say this somewhere atleast kind of relevant.
PS3 broke so I manage to find a PS4 and buy it with BF4. After waiting for it to install and finding out I had to wait for them to install 800 fucking mb of "updates" for this month old game I manage to fire it up. Hoping to get to see why Sony decided it was worth farting out another console. After wading through all the advertisements and the first 10 minute wait to connect to a deathmatch I had to manually restart the console. Fantastic start. Another 6 minute wait and just like that I'm spawing into a losing deathmatch as it ends. 20 minutes of playing this hilarious broken attempt at a game and I have enough footage of entire sections of levels disappearing and players snapping in and out of invisibility on the PS4s nifty in game footage manager which I can easily upload for a laugh. Until Sony topped off my shit sundae of a game experience by telling me until I register for fucking Facebook my footage is completely inaccessible. The fact that I have no interest in any of the titles from their stunning 3 game library and the fact that all modern games are anymore are rushed rehashed pieces of crap that act as nothing but the down payments on laughable chains of DLC has left me really embittered.
Basically I'm selling this massive mistake of a purchase and finally giving up on gaming. Whole industry deserves to go tits up.
Anyone that makes Youtube videos for a living and doesn't have a solid back up job is an idiot. Youtube is definitely not going to be around for ever. At least its revenue aspect.
And no one wants to see a 40 year old vlogger discuss their day, or do a Minecraft livestream.
In 20 years there's going to be a hell of a lot of people out of a job.
I don't like chocolate. Never really have.
I honestly think the Dark Knight trilogy and Heath Ledger as Joker (to a certain extent) is very overrated and the "darkness and edginess" is way too forced.
I prefer the old lighthearted Batman movies and definitely Jack Nicholson as the Joker.
I've never really like the Dark Knight Joker as the Joker, its an excellent character but it doesn't remind me of Joker at all
Needs more chattering teeth and BANG! guns to be Joker

I like to think that he is an imposter who has gone insane, somehow.
A gallery containing the most decorated guns, both new and old, would be frickin' awesome.

There is a difference between having a plan for a slow death and having the rug pulled from beneath you. You can prepare all you want for the first, the latter is much harder to do when you haven't built up your brand yet.
Also by the amount of people that watch said 40 year old vloggers and minecraft life streams speaks to differ. All because you do not like that content does not mean other people cannot.
People complaining about lets players just stinks of jealousy. Even devs embrace lets plays as seen by the support many publishers have given (its seems all but nintendo are pledging their support for them)

I abhor this logic. Just because someone dislikes something it doesn't mean that they're jealous of anybody's success.
Gravity was shite
legos are the most overrated pieces of shit. lego games are unnecessary and sooo dumb.

Lego games are some of the best pick-me-up co-op games I've played.

So what other reason do they have for not wanting monetized lets plays when the devs themselves approve of them?

A bunch of gameplay videos featuring people talking/screaming/gesticulating for 10-15 minutes gets boring quickly, monetisation of said videos leads to an over-saturation of these videos because everybody wants to make a quick buck (with each slapdash video being worse than the last).

You dont have to watch those videos, and since youtube's channel advertising has a habit of promoting the top channels the most. To see crap channels means you have to search for them.

I don't and not necessarily, I usually get LPs recommended to me on a regular basis. It doesn't irk me or anything, I'm just simply stating my point.

Does Total Biscuit even have a job outside of Youtube, because his constant whining about people not watching adds was getting annoying.
Maybe you should have chosen a job with some actual fucking security rather than something based on the whims of a community. And if you have a job, why are you complaining? I mean, extra money is always nice but if Youtube isn't your primary income then you shouldn't be reliant on it in the first place.
And too elaborate a bit, I just learned about the whole ID bullshit. I condone that entirely. It is one thing to start losing money because a drop in views: that's a natural thing that should happen and can be expected. This flagging and removing of content is just astoundingly dumb and it is just strangling the creative freedom of this site tenfold, and worse yet is that nothing was said to these video makers that their content would be fucked. They couldn't expect it at all.
LPers were already very lucky to have been able to make money by simply playing video games. I'm not necessarily agreeing with Google's decisions but seriously some people should stop acting like they're entitled to anything.
It was fun while it lasted but everyone should have been expecting it to end at any time.

Yeah, I tend to disagree it is a job at all. Jobs actually involve, you know, work. And some people do put a ton of effort into what they do and I think they deserve money, but the people who make 40 minute long videos of them shouting into a mic and playing a game don't deserve shit. That's a hobby, not a labor, and you aren't contributing something that I would say is a quality product worth actual expenditure.
And it is wild to me that they believe they somehow earned that money. TotalBiscuit was just one example. I like his videos, but they are hardly "quality". They tend to be 40 minute long rambles with only about 10 minutes of actually useful information and the rest is usually just rants or referrals to previous comments and opinions that are barely connected to the game at hand. If he edited them down to something a little bit less time-consuming and not needlessly long, then maybe it would be quality enough, but right now it isn't worth me watching adds. Sure, that is selfish, but so is thinking that you are entitled to money just because you uploaded videos to Youtube.
If they are entitled to have adds on videos, I am entitled to skip them.
I still laugh at doge. I'm an immature asshat, so that may be why.
I think time spent hating any entertainment property is time wasted.
4chan is bad
If a divorce is bad enough that the couple have to hire lawyers to sort things out, then they definitely 100% should not have gotten married in the first place.
I couldn't even imagine loving someone enough that you want to spend the rest of your life with them, and then things getting so bad that a break up can't be settled in a civil manner.
Cheap food like spam, corned beef, tinned food, etc is great stuff and tastes nice.

If you eat it for awhile you develop a taste for it

Pretty much this, I grew up in a pretty bad off household, where really cheap frozen meals were super common because no one had the time or energy to cook and those things are still my baseline for how food's supposed to taste.
DC Comics and Marvel should reboot the Amalgam universe.
Youtube isn't a workplace. Get a real job because it wasn't going to pay your bills forever.

I don't see how it's different from being any other type of entertainer.
A lot of those people getting screwed by Youtube do have skills to fall back on.
Prime example: Egoraptor. He's an animator. All he needs to do is bust out animations at the same rate he did Game Grumps, and he'll be just fine (although animating is significantly [del]harder[/del] more time-consuming than doing a Let's Play).
