I like a lot of Pink Floyd's instrumentation but lyrically it can be really cringey, especially the wall which is just Roger Waters jerking himself off. Best Pink Floyd was while Syd Barrett was still active, when shit was really weird lyrically, as opposed the sort of archetypal sweeping nature of progressive lyricism

The stock market isn't an evil entity

The latest Daft Punk album wasn't that great.
I don't think I've ever had a problem with bronies irl, but the chicks who obsess over Dr. Who and Sherlock are far worse than those people who seem to "rub mlp in your faces" because they're wearing an MLP shirt or some shit. Those sherlock fans seem to cross it over with anything they can think of and try to penetrate everything that is sacred. I mean, "Adventure Time With Dr. Who and Sherlock?" jesus christ that barely makes any sense yet there's it's still printed on a shirt and I see people wearing it all the time. Same with the fucking tardis taking the place of everything. At least bronies seem to stick to their own thing instead of mashing it with a ton of pop culture references.

Trust me when I say I have seen at least 1000 different pop culture reference MLP shirts
maybe i'm just bitter because i have to listen to high pitched squealing about Sherlock and Dr. Who all the time. Even if I don't have to see it I still have to hear it, unlike MLP.

Anime, manga, manwha and whatever aren't that bad... ...So long as you don't shout loudly and frequently about how you're a part of the fandom and which characters are your favourite. Well my brother doesn't want to get into it because it's 'too nerdy' (yeah right, he's a pudgy boy with glasses on the xbox all day) and there's a girl at school that's just hard to be polite to because she won't stop talking about levi from 'attack on titan' at the top of her voice. Can't you all enjoy in moderation?
Id software never did anything first, but people tend to gravitate towards their brand of paint they put on other people's innovations. Bungie doesn't get enough credit for what they did for the shooter genre, and no. I'm not talking about Halo. Crysis 1 is aging pretty hard. All of Adult Swim's live action shows are brilliant and they should start a whole new channel just so they can have more programming time.

Because you know, it's easy to say "id software didn't do anything" then say Bungie deserves more credit but I can't name anything they did that wasn't done in some way before.
Call me grinch or whatever, But I really dislike excessive christmas decorations. Especially Christmas lights, flashing in all the colours of the rainbow. It's not pretty, it's an eyesore.
Yeah, just put some lights up, a couple wreaths. I don't need to see some big blow-up santa in your front yard, a mechanical reindeer on your roof, all with lights flashing all night while I'm trying to sleep.
I like Windows 8 just as much as Windows 7, it has some nice features and performance improvements.

I know we're all excited, but it wouldn't hurt to show some patience.

The first fully 3d shooter was Terminator: Future shock by Bethesda software. A year before Quake. Ok it depends on your definition of (fully 3d) because the FP arms were sprites, but sprites were in a better position to represent first person at the time imo. I mean look at the smoke that comes out of the shotty when you fire it. That's pretty fucking cool. I'm not trying to say "Id did nothing," I'm trying to say "they didn't miraculously come up with these things without provocation like people tend to think, and their revolutions are always the second generation of revolutions"
I do have to agree that Marathon gets a lot less recognition than it deserves, fantastic series.
I'm gonna play some Marathon right fucking now.
I do have to agree that Marathon gets a lot less recognition than it deserves, fantastic series.
the most likely reason was because the first game was only released on Mac, if they released the first game on windows as well, it would definitely be more recognized.
you REALLY should have worded that better. and provided more details Also which idea, afaik you might think what he did for dunkirk was brilliant.
Ahah yeah, thankfully I do actually have some idea about what I'm talking about to explain - so thanks for asking! The main reason I say I think Hitler had the right idea was in terms of his nationalism. Keeping Germany, German, and for the sake of Germany's future. Whilst it became idealized that he wanted an 1000 Year Reich to keep order and balance, it's hard not to say what he did for Germany in the starting years when he took over from Hindenburg was effective. He massively increased the amount of jobs in Germany. Although saying this; his leadership skills are not something I'm going to start buffing up. People knew he was naturally a great orator and etcetc Because of the Treaty of Versailles Germany was left completely in ruins and the Weimar Republic did jack shit to actually fix it. You can see how somebody like Hitler would rise to power easily with Germany's morale at the time being rock bottom. (For people who still ask that question) Actually contrary to popular belief Hitler did not have as big of a part in the setting up of concentration camps. Himmler was far more evil in terms of proposing the idea in the first place and carrying through with it for so long with the Holocaust. It was a horrible thing yes, and the sheer segregation of Germans from Jews is not right. BUT, from a standpoint of keeping a country with jobs for the people who were born there rather than others coming to that country seeking jobs, it makes sense. It's why we are in the predicament in England right now, with absolutely no jobs. Of course, Asylum seekers are allowed but so many people abuse this system. I guess it can be argued that nobody would want to do the jobs that immigrants would do, though. We have the BNP party over here in England, but it's one of those things where you know with any sort of power will go wrong. (i.e repeat Nazi Germany)

But what does this one have to do with Bungie being innovative exactly? I was curious more on what Bungie did over id Software that I wasn't aware of, and never claimed id made the first fully 3d game.
I'm not trying to say "Id did nothing," I'm trying to say "they didn't miraculously come up with these things without provocation like people tend to think, and their revolutions are always the second generation of revolutions"
I don't really know of anyone that thinks that really. id was never claimed to be making all these fantastic brand new ideas, they were always known for popularizing the FPS genre rather than bringing all new features in. There is a difference between the two.

White Christmas lights look the best anyways.
white and blue combo [editline]17th December 2013[/editline]
the most likely reason was because the first game was only released on Mac, if they released the first game on windows as well, it would definitely be more recognized.
Well, the issue beyond that is that it came out in a wake of Doom clones and commercial Doom mods. Everyone expected it to be just another samey doom clone when it was actually so much more. _______ imo Alien Resurrection wasn't all that bad in retrospect. Mostly because I've seen how bad it can TRULY get with the franchise.
I see christmas lights as a huge waste of electricity. I see tinsel as tasteless unless it's on a tree and i believe it's only ok to put up the tree the day before christmas eve. Also you should wear christmas jumpers all year round when it's cold. waste of a good jumper to restrict yourself to only wearing it for half a month every year.

Do we need gaming? Nope, but we want it. Also curtains are pretty cool from keeping the lights away while you sleep.
I'm perfectly okay with Christmas decorations being put up as long as it's after Thanksgiving and they're taken down by the second week of January. I also think snowing should be acceptable from Cyber Monday all the way to the first day of March. Any snow before or after that timeframe is wrong.
Christmas is the fucking worst thing ever [editline]17th December 2013[/editline] 0/10 [editline]17th December 2013[/editline] would not fuck
