I think Fallout 3 was an awful game and all my console playing friends say otherwise.
Fallout 3 had a good story.
Game mechanics, specifically shooting, were mediocre and clunky. I could not play the game without VATS.

Fallout 3's story was poop.

It was a classic bethesda game. ugly, terrible mechanics for combat, throwaway main story, but really fun exploration, a decent stat system, and memorable sidequests.
really fun exploration
It was more than annoying having to go through subways every other quest and if you tried to go around it, there would be invisible walls and shit
I never found jokes like tips fedora funny in the slightest
The elder scrolls games are far from being masterpieces.
If Epic ever makes a UT4, rocket jumping should be a thing.

I agree for all but Morrowind.
i didn't see as many people complaining about skyrim's combat as much as bioshock infinite's, but imo it was 10x worse
like, was that type of combat expected from an elder scrolls game or what?
I agree for all but Morrowind.
Can the glasses get any more rose tinted at this point?

Here's mine: Morrowind was a pretty good game. (It's unpopular because I'm not jizzing all over it.)
I agree for all but Morrowind.
Morrowind was ridiculously buggy upon release and even with the official patches, not even Oblivion got to its level of bugginess, not to mention Morrowind had some rather broken mechanics. I love Morrowind too, but it is as far from a masterpiece as Oblivion is.
Morrowinds combat was painful for me.
If all of the baby boomers died tomorrow, the world and the quality of life in general would increase by several orders of magnitude.
Starbound is literally Terraria in space no matter how much people try to pretend otherwise.

Pretty much, but I'd still prefer it over Terarria since it has more stuff.

Terraria 2: Space Edition is how most people are referring to it, who is even trying to argue that its not just a big upgrade
Better than "ITS 2D MINECRAFT" for sure
To everyone thinking that Portal 2 is somehow tied to HL3...
Portal's in the Half-Life universe. Portal 2 is in the Portal universe.

They have that big ship from Portal in Half Life 2 though.

"Portal is in the Half Life universe and so is Portal 2"
What are you on about

Have you been watching Doug Stanhope? Lol
He's a pretty good comedian but surely you can do better than to form opinions about things informed only by his act?

So Portal is in the Half Life universe and Portal 2, which is a direct sequel of the first game, isn't in the same universe?

it couldn't possibly be due to the fact of several mentions of Black Mesa in Portal (2) and several mentions of Aperture in Half-Life.

it boggles my head on how you (don't) think that this is a sociopathic thing to say.
Think of a ven diagram. All the half life games are in one circle. Portal 2 is in the other circle. Portal is in both circles.
Mostly because of the seriousness. Yeah, portal was a silly game, but portal 2 was far sillier.
On to things like Story and gameplay design in games... It realy bothers me.
There are these guys. They're professional. They get paid to write stories, come up with concepts, scrutinise concepts... Yet I realy feel like I could easily write better stories and design better gameplay mechanics than these professionals.
It's understandable when it's some small company or indie developer but when you've got a massive, well funded company like Bethesda or 343 it's realy unforgivable.

And, proof? Or uhh, I guess I'll just go by your word then.

I thought Valve wanted to deviate from the Half-Life canon when they were making Portal 2?

Do you need proof? Do I need to give you a Novel draft just to tell you that I could think up better storylines for skyrim? Do I need to develop an entire game just to validate any feedback I could have on How Bullfango are a cancer on the world and how they could be less cuntish?
Nope. Not at all. 'cause these things could be done by anyone with a brain.

no you don't need that
unless you literally say that you could write a better game, which you just did
