Woo stereotypes! Also is there even such a thing as "American Coffee", America doesn't sit inside the area that coffee grows well in. The coffee made here varies greatly, if you survive off of starbucks and mcdonalds you won't get to taste good coffee, nor good anything. If you go to even decent restaurants that serve coffee you'll find something pretty good.
it's not just a stereotype, i'm speaking from experience. i've been to america and the coffee tastes VERY different from brazilian coffee, it's much weaker. maybe it was just because of where i lived, but other people that were in other places in the US, in this FB group i was in, said the exact same thing about the coffee

also, what's this "creamer" thing you guys put in it? never really understood that, we don't have anything like it here
All of Weezer's albums are actually pretty good.
All of Weezer's albums are actually pretty good.
They literally have the shittiest fans on the world.
Everyone I talk to is like "Oh wow, Pinkerton and the Blue album really speak out to me. It's like they took my soul and made songs from them. I just wish the entire band had killed themselves before they made anymore music."

Yeah but Pinkerton really is a gem and none of their work compares to it but you have to consider the fact that Rivers Coumo had never really been like that before (in the hospital for a long time, suicidally depressed, failing all of his relationships and struggling with fame etc.) so it makes sense that it's a really gripping album.
That doesn't automatically make everything else shit though, Pinkerton is just the diamond of the discography of gold.
Also order of best coloured albums from best to worst is Blue, Red, Green IMO

Im probably going to stick to this avatar since a lot of people wouldnt remember "cr2142" much
I really wish I made this account with my current username for everything...
Daft Punk are severely overrated and overall pretty boring, give or take a few songs.
All of Weezer's albums are actually pretty good.
Weezer and Blink182 (i associate the two closely) both have very good instrumentals and absolutely terrible vocals.
i think someone has entitlement issues
OT: I think buttholes/anal is fucking disgusting
Fuck it, here's a dumb rating.
This is already a premier example of what I mean. My post has already accumulated 3 dumbs because people disagree with it or, apparently, "think my opinion is dumb".
An opinion cannot be "dumb" unless it goes against inherent fact. But here I am, preaching to the fucking choir. Of course, whenever people actually post an Unpopular Opinion in the Unpopular Opinions thread, it gets dumbed and hated because it is unpopular.
Like, this is the one thread where people are supposed to be welcome to say what they want yet even here is basically isn't allowed. Even if it something generally disliked here, like racism or homophobia, should at least be free to be posted on the Unpopular Opinions thread, so long as they aren't hateful. But even here, it gets dumbed and shat on. This thread is supposed to be the one place where you can express your views, if no where else.
I mean, LMAO pics is one thing, but come on, even on the thread specifically made for alternate opinions, people are still chastised for having an alternate opinion. I don't just apply this argument to "bitching about things on LMAO Pics" because honestly, I could care less, and I do agree that you really don't need to post "that isn't funny" in reply. I am mostly talking about how it applies to other threads, especially ones where opinion actually matters to an extent. People, such as the quote I replied to, are telling others to just "ignore" it because if they post, they will get slaughtered. People shouldn't be afraid to express themselves.
Normally I wouldn't mention any of this, because this sort of thing happens pretty much everywhere. However, Facepunch carries this high-minded ideal that we are somehow the best, most open and free forum on the internet, and it just isn't true. In fact, we are very elitist.
How is this an "entitlement issue"? People have a right to say what they want to say. If people want to respond negatively, that is fine, but at the very least they could use the disagree button.
Not sure if this is unpopular here, but in real life where I live it is: Family Guy is complete shit.
The crust is the best part of bread.
The crust is the best part of bread.
I like the crust, but not the ends of a loaf of bread which are over 50% crust.
I like the crust, but not the ends of a loaf of bread which are over 50% crust.
Those are the best fucking part
I like the crust, but not the ends of a loaf of bread which are over 50% crust.
I toss them out as soon as I get a new loaf

You can have your opinion and I can rate you dumb for it, no problem there.
I just say you have entitlement issues because you feel the need to type out a thematic essay about the politics and dynamics of a (relatively) small internet forum's thread about posting funny pictures just to prove some point you have about a certain type of funny picture.
Everyone else is just trying to tell you to chill out and just scroll past the pictures because is shouldn't matter that much.
Metal Music Vocals are shit, Good Instrumentals tho
Metal Music Vocals are shit, Good Instrumentals tho
That's a pretty broad generalisation here. There are different vocal styles in metal, and a large part of it is just, well, "regular" singing.
So basically don't post any opinion and just ignore content you dislike and want to see less of?
I am sorry, but communities are not based around a "shut up and get over it" policy. We are supposed to allow every member to freely contribute and not feel discouraged, but the rating system, especially the dumb rating, completely removes that. It is why this forum is notorious for being elitist and unwelcoming. It is also why the "Facepunch hivemind" of legendary status is actually kind of a thing. Sure, there are posters with different opinions, but they are too afraid to post them because they will get dumbed and berated and even insulted. We swarm on posts we dislike, and that isn't the way a community works.
We look back on 'savages' forming lynch mobs to root out people with opinions or beliefs contrary to the majority, but we do it all the time. Not as violent, but the same principle applies. Many people with alternate opinions are ostracized here, and to say you should just "rate and ignore" is contrary to any ideals of discussion. And after all, discussion is what forums are made for.
Hell, I think the dumb rating should just be removed. It was supposed to be used for people with bad spelling, grammar, or going against actual facts, but it has always been misused against people who hold a contrary opinion. Hell, I'm not above it. I sometimes rate dumb just because the other person's opinion doesn't line up with my own.
If you find a picture unfunny just rate it dumb or disagree. That's what ratings are for. As long as pictures get more funnies than dumbs people will keep posting them, and posts saying "ugh I don't like this" are just pointless to the thread.

You going to tell me the vocals on this song are shit?

Mathias is one of the best damn male vocalists I've heard in a while.
Metal Music Vocals are shit, Good Instrumentals tho
Do you mean death metal where it just sounds like somebody is coughing into the mic?
That I can agree on, sounds like shit tbh
I dislike music.
I dislike music.
How can you dislike one of the most human things in existence? Especially considering there are so many types of music.
I dislike music.
Mate, this can get you a ban.
Mods don't like people who don't like music.
(I'm being serious btw)
Coffee fucking sucks
I dislike music.
How does someone not like music?
If you don't like music because it sounds too loud, you could try ambient music or something.
Bioshock > System Shock
Unreal Tournament > Quake 3
Super Mario RPG > any other SNES RPG

If your job is to listen to music all day long (like you work in a radio station or something), the last thing you likely want to do when you get home is put on more music.
I kind of experience that on vacation since we have to drive two days to reach our location I listen to music the whole time, but after those two days I prefer silence over music.
The end is near.
VR is nice but these treadmill things look dumb as fuck and I don't know why anyone would want to use that.
Metal Music Vocals are shit, Good Instrumentals tho
And Hallowed Be Thy Name is my favorite Iron Maiden song. And Passchendaele.
straight black coffee is poison
If your taste buds are shot to hell from constantly drinking soda or really sweet tea, then yeah. I'm not a huge fan of overly sweet stuff, so black coffee isn't bad at all to me.
