Do you expect them to be like activision - pumping the same game every year?
And from what I've seen, the releases currently are pretty recent, they hardly qualify as "lazy".
(Half life 1 and 2. I'm pretty sure they have their reasons for not jumping to a '3')

You got to remember they're taking care of the worlds largest online games store on top of maintaining DOTA 2, CS:GO, TF2 and SFM, not to mention developing Source 2 ( and potentially L4D3 and HL3), porting TF2 and L4D2 to it as well. They're a busy company.
I hate being with people that are too neutral.
You know, those people that don't have an opinion on anything.
I don't like steak. At all.

Yeah, they really take care of it well. That's why it barely makes it two days at most without unscheduled or just flat out unannounced downtime for the last few weeks. They care so little that they stopped even bothering to announce maintenance. And why should they? Half their customers are completely blind to any negatives about them and most of the rest don't care or can't stop spending money on Steam.

No one expects that, but it's pretty obvious they stopped caring about how Steam functions a long time ago. Since it's like their flagship program, it's sad that it's a mess for a huge amount of people yet they spend time adding cards and Big Picture mode instead of doing anything to fix the multitude of problems people have with the actual running of the program.

Steak is like my favorite meat, so much awesome variety in how to cook it.

As I've said before that's entirely an issue with their management style. People can do what they want and no one wants to do bugfixes. Adding new features is a more novel and enjoyable job for them so they do that and as little bugfixing as they can get away with.

If it doesn't affect me at all, do I need to form and articulate an opinion?

Apparently so.
there are some really biased wikipedia articles though, try reading the trayvon martin one for example
I remember reading an article on age of consent. It said the age of consent here is 16, but LGBT groups wanted to lower it because it was discriminating.
After some searching, the case is that the age of consent for homosexual males was 18.
I wonder if rewriting for bias is something that ever happens over there...
tf2 did it right.
They did it better than other cases, but note that even though tf2's weapons that you can buy aren't strictly better than the defaults they are different in ways that are not solely cosmetic.
Note that all weapons in tf2 still randomly drop(If you want to get all the weapons that are functionally different you will effectively have to get premium due to how trading works in tf2).
I think TF2 isn't exactly pay 2 win, but more like pay2win's cousin.
I remember saying that TF2 was semi-pay to win to someone and I got flamed excessively by said person
Good times.

I tend to think of TF2 as not a free game with purchaseable upgrades, but a demo with a (relatively cheap) price attached to the whole game. With the free mode, you can't trade or hold more than 50 items, but you can learn how to play the game and see if you enjoy it. It's exactly what I did. I was a f2p scum since the day it went f2p, but I learned everything I could and was significantly better than many of my free to play bretheren. I knew I liked the game after about 1 hour into it, so I stepped up and got premium for 5 dollars. That's all, just need to put 5$ into your steam account and buy some keys or something. You can even trade them right away for metal or whatever, its up to you.
Konami should release a Dance Dance Revolution game for PC.
I know that Stepmania is a thing, though I can't help but think that because the market for USB dancemats is so small, you're not paying for the product, but you're paying to take one for the team.
Long term, standing armies should be abolished.

Ideally, the whole map to be green.

everyone's obsession with anime is fucking up my mind

People need to stop using jingoism as a buzzword/buzz-concept when it comes to criticizing video games, complaining about problems that don't exist just invalidates your argument.

How the hell do you use a term for aggressive foreign policy in that kind of situation, anyway?
I don't really like gum for whatever reason.

But that's what keeps me from blowing my brains out when I stumble upon a political discussion.
Staying excessively neutral saves me from getting a serious headache because I don't have to worry about things that don't concern me directly as an individual.
I thought Bill Nye's debate was hilarious.
I've never found Jimmy Fallon or Jay Leno funny. I can't wait till Fallon gets prime time so Seth Meyers (who is actually funny) can take his place on late night.
I find The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson hilarious because it's so laid back, and because its one of those "it's so bad that it's great" kinda things.
Letterman is also a hack.
so there's my 2 cents on late night comedy.

Jimmy Kimmel is also great

NBC is pretty awful as whole as well, save for a couple shows, and especially when it comes to the olympics

A neutral opinion is often simply not caring. A good example that has come up recently from discussion about that thread about the 11 year old MLP fan trying to commit suicide is that people who hate MLP actually care about it more than someone like me who simply doesn't give a damn about the show or that people like it one way or the other.
