this is one of the reasons lots of flak comes your way
People should be able to legally own fully automatic weapons manufactured after 1986.
[editline]10th February 2014[/editline]
Without wading through an ocean of paperwork and permits.

Also hard drugs should be legal.
It feels as though there's a growing sentiment in which democracy and the enlightenment are viewed as bad things in of themselves, as people find it discomforting that they have brought about diverse social and economic change.
MRAs seem opposed to feminism and are growing, neoreactionaries are spreading, antisemitism is on a rise in Europe, people openly question the value of democracy, almost always using the same argument about the masses not knowing what's good for them, or that reason and science cannot be used to solve problems to human society.
Yeah that's great.
But I'm talking about things like this (NSFW)
that's san francisco stuff, it's not like that everywhere

not exactly a hard title to get
flaunting it like you have something to prove.
that's not the point, gay pride parades are actually politically and socially relevant
I personally think that gay pride parades are a bad idea.
Now on paper it sounds like a great idea. People who participate in the parades are sending the message "Im comfortable with my sexuality"
But the message the majority recieve is "I AM A HYPERSEXUAL WHO WANTS YOUR PENIS". Because of that, I don't think it's a good idea.
Reminds me of when I was in Provincetown (one of the most LGBT-supporting towns in Massachusetts) with my family about a year ago. Almost every building we went into, there were posters for performances by drag queens who still painfully looked like men. There was even a dude out on the streets wearing nothing but a small, white towel that barely covered his genitals, handing out brochures for an all-male nudist ballet or something and making very sexual comments in the most stereotypical gay voice I've ever heard, saying things like "Ooh, what am I sporting under this towel? Find out tonight at the theater!". Like, fucking seriously, guy? There are kids out here and look at what you're wearing.
I have absolutely no issues with homosexuals, transgendered/transsexual individuals, bisexuals, pansexuals, crossdressers, etc., and I'm happy that they're slowly but surely getting the rights they deserve as human beings because I have a number of friends who fall into one or more of the above categories. What I can't understand is why some of them have to be so out there. Why can't they just be normal like the rest of us?
(Jesus, that took me about fifteen minutes to type up and continuously rephrase so as not to sound like an insensitive jerk-off. I do sincerely apologize if I've offended anyone.)
If homosexuality was advertised and put out there in the same way heterosexuality was you'd all be way angrier than you are now
there were posters for performances by drag queens who still painfully looked like men.
Drag queens aren't actually supposed to look like women. Drag queens are crossdressing men who wear womens clothing and makeup but that's it. What you're thinking of would be traps (crossdressers who try to be convincing as women) or simply transitioned/transitioning transgender folk.
Sorta on the topic of gay pride parades, but I really don't get why a lot of people get upset at flamboyant homosexual behavior. Like, in my gov/econ class a lot of people were complaining about gay pride parades and that kind of crap saying "They should really just keep it in the bedroom," but were completely indifferent about heterosexual flamboyance when I brought it up. My favorite response was from a (white, christian, straight, cis) guy who said "Well, that's normal. Homosexuality is more new so it's not acceptable."
I don't really get it? How can two dudes/girls making out in public somehow be less acceptable than heterosexual people doing the same thing?
Pears > Apples

Welcome to the period when the base has out-developed the superstructure, it's a real shitfest.

My main hope is that the democratic capitalist system currently in existence is largely extended to benefit all members of that society. Most of the problems we have now are largely because a lot of people have been isolated from the benefits of democracy and wealth generation, and feel as though that getting rid of one or both (either democracy or capitalism) would solve these problems. Both institutions should be strengthened as a safeguard against tyranny and poverty, no matter how many Platos, Hegels, or Marxs say that history is on their side and that such a system is bound to degenerate.
The Open Society and Its enemies is probably one of my most favourite books in that regard, largely for its strong defense of liberal democracy and the thrashing it deals to "theories" that seek to boil down history into immutable laws. Today these take more interesting forms. You only have to read a neoreactionary blog or (a literate posters) post on /pol/ to see these things today.
Indie games are great
I don't have an opinion
That's pretty vague
Independant game developers without an AAA budget that rely on public funding are great, not everyone but thanks to it there are a lot more diverse games available.

Indie games can be just as uninspired and lifeless as AAA ones.
I mean sure it's less common but it still exists.
Indie games are great
That's way too general a claim. Just like with big name AAA titles or non-indie non-AAA titles an indie game can be utter garbage or the greatest thing this side of Uranus.
I agree somewhat, there is a lot of trash and a lot of devs that exploit those public funding services or the early access system. Nevertheless some Indie titles pull of stuff that we wouldn't really see from other devs and I like that.

Don't worry dude, I think you'll be long dead before Liberal Democracy disappears. Shifts in the superstructure take a long time.

I'd definitely describe myself is pro-gun but I feel like the current system works pretty well. People who want an automatic weapon have to jump through a lot of hoops but they can still get one, while the general public can get semi-automatic firearms extremely easily depending on where they live. The only adjustment I would do is get rid of the whole 1986 limit altogether. Seems like an arbitrary date. There could also be some genuinely unreasonable amounts of bureaucratic paperwork but I'd have to see specifics.
TeeFury needs some Warhammer 40K shirts.
I'd rather listen to a character that's annoying but positive, than a commentator that's loud and cunty.

That's one of indie gaming's biggest strengths in my opinion. In general they're less profit centric than most developers so they're willing to take more risks with their game design for better or worse.
I don't hate Phil Fish.
Filthy Frank is painfully unfunny
Skrillex is a great musician.
We'd be better off with no government at all.
Ketchup, pizza, and sandwiches are disgusting.
I quite like the colour scheme of Bing Maps. I prefer to use Google Maps and always do - but I think Bing Maps does look nice.
-I enjoy and often play Takedown: Red Sabre
-I still play WarZ (Survival stories) from time to time despite owning DayZ
-I actually like Rust despite it attracting some of the worst and most annoying people I have ever seen in an online game
eh, mostly gaming related but that's all I can come up with for now. (of course i'm pageking)
the disney movie Frozen is mediocre as fuck
