the disney movie Frozen is mediocre as fuck
I still have no desire to see this
I didn't even know it existed until way after it came out
the disney movie Frozen is mediocre as fuck
It's not mediocre, It's just not as good as everyone say it is. But after all it's still a normal musical disney princess film. Nothing new here.

We'd be better off with no government at all.
Indie games are great
Most indie games aren't very good. They have even less good games released every year than AAA companies in my opinion. But on the plus side they usually cost 10-15$ so it's not too big of a risk.
I'd definitely describe myself is pro-gun but I feel like the current system works pretty well. People who want an automatic weapon have to jump through a lot of hoops but they can still get one, while the general public can get semi-automatic firearms extremely easily depending on where they live. The only adjustment I would do is get rid of the whole 1986 limit altogether. Seems like an arbitrary date. There could also be some genuinely unreasonable amounts of bureaucratic paperwork but I'd have to see specifics.
My real problem with it is that the 1986 date means that even if you can get through all the paperwork and permits to legally own a class III weapon, there's only a few on the market to own and you generally can't find one for less than $10,000.
I don't have ten grand.

This is the unpopular opinions thread. I know that's an unpopular opinion but it's mine. And there is no way in hell I am going to start this argument because it's one I know I can't win. So let's just agree to disagree on this one.

There's a difference between an unpopular opinion and a dumb opinion, if you can't back your own opinion with an argument it's a dumb one.

you think that despite there being some sort of leadership by someone throughout our entire human history?

There's unpopular opinions and then there's baseless opinions like yours.
Depends on what one means by "government".
If you mean the state, there's quite a few arguments about them.
I've got a lot of friends who study political philosophy and the basic idea I hear from them is that while anarchism/anarcho-socialism are pretty extremist political beliefs, they have a more pragmatic and well thought approach than other philosophies that tend to be well respected i.e. Utilitarianism, the biggest heap of shit political philosophy
plus you have to bear in mind that most anarchist philosophers were not necessarily purporting that anarchism should be the chosen method of leadership, they were merely utilising the boundaries of this system to make criticism of existing political systems and their flaws. Just like everyone misinterpreted what Marx meant, the big anarchist philosophers have been piggybacked by black bloc pseudosocialist neophytes
I hate pretty much all soft drinks aside from Hi-C Orange, if that even counts.
I also hate beef, and think that just about any condiment other than salt is terrible.
i.e. Utilitarianism, the biggest heap of shit political philosophy
What's wrong with it?
What's wrong with it?
okay so in utilitarianism the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. It sounds good on paper, yeah, but when you start looking at it cracks start to appear. For example, with the trolley problem, a utilitarian is expected to always save the larger number of people regardless of circumstance. The one guy is a doctor and the three guys are convicted rapists? No grey area. The one is your child? nope no grey area.
Another example would be a burning house. Say there's a burning house and there's a child trapped inside, and to rescue that child would take at least three firemen. In a utilitarian's eyes the child should be left to die because in sending in three firefighters, they could all die which would not serve the majority, so a loss of one is seen as passable in place.
Also there's the whole issue of tyranny of the majority. Say the majority of a country wanted Jews/gays/gypsies/whatever exiled. By utilitarian standards the Jews/gays/gypsies/whatever have to go, even if it's only 51% of the country that want them gone.
there's a lot of other problems, but most of those require logic mathematics which I'm no good at.

You do realize utilitarianism is a bit more than this right? There's a good couple of schools of thought on the matter.
Everybody is a little bit utilitarian, otherwise this would go to the other extreme where you would be incapable of deciding to kill somebody to stop them launching a nuclear bomb that would kill millions.
At one extreme you push a fat guy off a bridge to stop a trolley which would run over some people. At the other, you are forced to stand by and watch somebody go around murdering loads of people.

of course everyone's a little utilitarian, everyone's a little anarchistic as well. My point was because the opening lines of utilitarianisms mission statement are less scary than anarchism's people give it a free ride despite quite a few prominent utilitarian critical theorists being number obsessed ninnies

When philosophy takes you to uncomfortable conclusions, you're probably going to have to either accept it, or rework it. Most philosophers find it difficult to do the former, and very few are able to do the latter with any reasonable degree of success.
Rap and hip-hop is great but there is simply so much trash that you have to look a bit harder to find some decent stuff.

Fucked if I know dude, your guess is as good as mine.
comedy option: full communism
Well, I gave Attack on Titan a watch because everyone has been going on about how great it is.
This may surprise you, but I didn't think it was that good.
Bad? Not really, but it still falls victim to many of the issues I have seen countless times in other anime that has made me avoid the genre like the plague. Characters loudly stating intention or spelling out their actions and over-explaining things like the audience is stupid, the constant and blatant repetition of personality traits, it being melodramatic as fuck, and frequent long pauses that don't seem to serve a purpose. Seriously, I cannot count how many times the characters just seize up and stare with mouths agape even at the most inconsequential shit.
Thankfully, it avoids a lot of stuff that gets downright annoying about the genre so it is at least watchable and the premise is interesting, but hot damn it feels like over half of every episode is just characters repeating things we already no, filler, scenes of characters looking at things in astonishment (even if they are mundane. Someone insult you at boot camp? Stare at him, mouth agape, for no reason), and flashbacks about shit we already know. The other half is hammy, over the top, hammered in acting that rather than working off the subtleties of the characters and allowing us to explore them, it just outright states who they are and what their goals are.
I'm going to get a lot of shit for this because many people on this site have a fascination with anime, but I just don't get it. I haven't seen anything in this genre that I legitimately thought was good, even these supposedly great animes that even outsiders from the genre like. They all fall victim to those same trappings.
So basically, I don't think anime is very good. And before you go asking, yes I have watched more than Attack on Titan, but that is the show that made me solidify this opinion because everyone was going on and on about how great it is.

'real rap'
'real rap'
While I'd disagree with using the term "real rap", these terrible artists are basically making hip hop have a bad reputation. 99% of the time when I ask somebody why they hate rap/hip hop, they mention that it's all about sex drugs partying etc. and mention names such as lil wayne. When there's plenty of rap/hip hop that isn't that.
I hate the look of yoga pants, thin girls with big asses aren't attractive, and promiscuity is disgusting in both men and women.
