I hate it whenever people talk about the 'false paradigm' of Left versus Right politics, but don't apply their logic to other axes that exist in the political dimension, like libertarianism versus authoritarianism.
What makes the head of a domain that vies for greater autonomy from the state so that he may have more power to satisfy his own personal interests at the expense of others any different from the cynically depicted leftist that appeals to minority groups in order to gain votes?
how?
Ridiculous resolution screen, all right graphics card, the non-shitty wifi experience you get with OSX, the exterior doesn't explode like cheap plastic, the interior doesn't break easily either, the fact that if you lose your charger all you need to do is go to the nearest starbucks and you're set, the magnetic screen that you don't have to unclip or anything to open, UNIX based means you'll be able to be a mobile web developer, not as expensive as the other macs, long battery life ...
It's an experience.
You get a cinema, NGINX server, ruby/php/web programming development area, light gaming (around tf2 level) all on your lap.
Also you can cook an egg on your charger.
Counter Strike is a joke of a game that I can't take seriously
stepping on some toes right there I bet
On the topic of the Dead Space series, I always found the series to be pretty neat because of how well they did the gore and stuff. It's almost like watching a Cronenberg or Carpenter movie when it comes to some of the scenes. Not that I'm that into gore, but I found it impressive because even recent games still have cutscenes and the like where shit just clips through bodies instead of putting effort into showing the injury.
The mobile Dead Space game isn't that bad either, in all honesty.
Don't know if that's an unpopular opinion or not, but whatever.

Well, it's a common belief that virtual buttons/analog sticks on touch screens never work. :x
I played on an Xperia, so that really wasn't a problem for me.
But I never liked touch-screens so I could see how that would be an issue.
People hate on Dead Space because its really shitty at trying to be a horror, loud noises and jump scares stop working after the 50th time in a few hours
Its a neato action game though, DS1 and 2 are fun, I haven't played 3
Jump scares never stop workin for me, which is why I dont understand it when people say dead space isnt scary
Then again even alan wake scared me so im probably not the most qualified when it comes to talking about horror games
It's definitely good as a containment board, that's for sure
I joined because of Rust and escaped, catch me before I flood the other subforums with shitposts

They work for me, but I always think "that was cheap" right after. The scares felt from a truly horrifying environment are so much better.

That's because jump scares rely on simply startling you while an actually horrifying environment does more than give you an adrenaline surge from a moment of panic.
Personally I enjoyed Dead Space quite a bit, although I will admit it was never really much of a horror game, as a dark and gory sci-fi game it was pretty good.
Personally I still haven't finished DS1 because of that fucking thing that keeps regenerating its limbs
I shot it a few times, saw it grow all it's legs and shit back and then just noped the fuck off the game

I blame the steam sales
I think the only reason why carrying two devices on your person isn't outdated yet is because cellphones lack the proper control schemes for traditional handheld games.
I am a heavy believer in natural selection.
I believe that homeless people deserve to be homeless because they got themselves into that situation, in most cases due to money problems, addiction, didn't finish high school, etc.

a) That's not what natural selection is. Read a book some time. b) That's a really dumb, shitty and downright incorrect thought.
Personally, I enjoyed Dead Space 3. sure there were some questionable decisions[sp]with the moons[/sp]. not counting the Human enemies because[sp]they're only active in a few parts of the story[/sp] but the cover system was questionable, I'll give you that. and my favorite moments are[sp]exploring the dead ships[/sp]and encountering the[sp]feeder necromorphs[/sp]for the first time. if only playing as Carver wasn't co-op exclusive.
and also, this one may step on some toes but,[sp]Mr. Phillips[/sp]is my favorite mission in GTAV, I don't know why, but it is.
How is talking to yourself a sign of craziness? Like seriously.
How is talking to yourself a sign of craziness? Like seriously.
To me it depends on the kind of "talking", if you're one of those people who "think aloud", then sure you're okay.
If you have lengthy conversations with yourself as if there was another person, then i'm so sorry for you, gollum.
I think you could easily put generic human soldier enemies in a horror game if they were made scary. Not "give them red eyes and demon voices" but rather give make them very dangerous to the point of the player needing to either avoid them entirely OR at least kill them before they can fire a single shot. The few times i played red orchestra on realism were terrifying. It was a multiplayer shooter... but you could be killed so easily that it was scary.
The Darwin Awards are barbaric

Let me guess, you're inspired by Ayn Rand and the tea party hive mind?
Are you familiar with something called 'empathy'?

Money problems? That's sorta how someone becomes homeless in the first place
I feel so cruel and jaded. Where I live, it's not at all uncommon for well-off teens and young adults to pretend to be homeless to pick up cash. Apparently they'll even "rent" kids from their friends or neighbors for additional handouts. Now I doubt every panhandler in my area.

Rightfully so, nothing wrong with being cautious

Many homeless are UNABLE TO because of mental illness and other disabilities, is that their fault too? No jobs available? Their fault.
I'd like to assume that you have had many things handed to you but I have no idea who you are, but you sound like it.
I think that people, especially young incredibly politically-active people (to an extent I'm one myself, and it annoys the crap out of me that my peers do this), seem to just abandon their principles if it's their side doing it.
For example - the other side uses biased information, statistics or complete misinterpretation of data, that's shocking, horrible - liars, all of them! But hey - we're going to do it to, but it's alright - it's MOST DEFINITELY not exactly like the other sides doing - because you know, we're right! Question us and you're "one of them".
Politics is more about backing the home team than actually being consistent

Yeah, I know :(. It's moreso the ones who go to an effort to make out as if they are more morally correct than the other ones (which might be true in some of their beliefs - but then they just fuck it over by playing dirty).
