I think corporate social responsibility is primarily just a big PR circle jerk trend and is more concerned about looking like doing something than actually doing anything positive.
I felt the problem with Deus Ex: HR is that it tried too hard to emphasize the sandbox/inventory element in its gameplay. Most of the levels took place within a tactical setting, so it didn't really make sense from a thematic standpoint to have the player do things like juggling inventory items such as energy bars while doing karate chops on unsuspecting trios of armed dudes.
Hating the USA for really justifiable reasons doesn't make it a third world shithole
fuck SH
I sort of liked the 1998 US Godzilla movie and also I liked the 1998 Godzilla design way more. People always say that the design sucked but then they usually go on to say that the original Godzilla looked cooler. Give me a break, they're obviously looking through nostalgia-goggles on that one. I can understand not liking the movie and I can easily see why people think it sucks but bashing the redesign of Godzilla and saying the rubber suit design looked cooler is silly. It's not just a case of it being a rubber suit (or limited by being a rubber suit) either, because this new Godzilla movie sticks closer to the original design and I still think it looks awful and goofy.
I really like polos, and don't see why facepunch shits on them so hard.
It's not facepunch, it's just that "pictures of you" is the biggest possible circlejerk ever about what people should wear/look like, it's not even funny anymore.
I watched The Lego Movie last night and thought it was awful
I thought the lego movie was excellent
how is it that this lego movie is supposedly not for children.
i don't get it.

Not for young children.

Its a childrens movie with lots of references and jokes that only people who are a little older will get
I havent watched it yet, but doesnt it have gandalf and batman as fairly important characters? Gandalf is a well known character because of movies that came out over 10 years ago, and the more recent batman movies werent exactly aimed at kids, so theres that
It just went downhill, that's all. The series started out with creatures you might actually find in the wild and now we're out in the fields capturing swords and ice cream cones and making them battle refrigerators and other household appliances.
'Scuse you, Vanilluxe and Heat (Oven) Rotom just happen to be two of my favorite Pokemon.
Which in itself is an unpopular opinion.
Besides, aren't you forgetting the atrocities that the earlier generations had?

The Morgan Freeman wizard old man character ain't Gandalf, but yeah, him and Bats are part of the main group
The "wiener song" in South Park was horribly unfunny.

Yes, I know earlier generations had some atrocities. Don't know of any I can remember, but I know ten-year-old Stone was disappointed with some of the monsters. From what little I played of Black, a lot of the early monsters outside of the starting town seemed pretty cool, like that striped gopher with the bloodshot eyes.
Gen3 will still be the coolest one to me. Onwards onto the NDS is where I lost interest in the games.

It's aimed at kids, yeah, but it's enjoyable for adults too. When I saw it I got a huge nostalgia blast because the way the story falls together is exactly like the kind of thing I used to imagine when playing with Lego. There's no particular reason for things to be the way they are, they just are and it works beautifully.
The Lego movie was okay, but not the second coming of christ
The "wiener song" in South Park was horribly unfunny.
As is everything else in that show.
Since HR has been brought up, I'll give a possibly unpopular opinion.
I think HR is one of the ugliest games to grace its generation of games. I acknowledge the quality of game-play it offers but I just cannot bring myself to play it when it looks the way it does. The orangey-yellow tint on EVERYTHING is painfully hideous.
You can call me shallow all you want but that game is fucking ugly.
You can use that ENB Mod thing to get rid of the orange crap. Though you shouldn't need to use external things just to make the game not look so bad.
Griefing is the best thing to do in spacestation 13. As long as you can do it without being discovered.
White people should be allowed to say "nigga" when quoting lyrics.
- A white person
I think that anyone should be allowed to say any word they want, as long as it's in context.

It was just about bearable for me, i think they really overdid it.
Glad the Director's Cut changed a few things about it.
The Oculus Rift and other VR headsets are pretty fucking cool as gimmicks, but that's just what they are right now. Gimmicks. They really aren't that practical in this day and age of sitting in a chair or on a couch, staring at a large monitor, and pressing buttons on a keyboard or a controller. Maybe in ten or twenty years when we have video games that utilize the entire human body as a controller and appease all five senses, things will be different. Just doesn't seem useful now.
I always looked at video game reviews like school grades, anything below 60% is a failed product, there's no "upward bias" about expecting something to be at least 2/3rds done for it to be well done.
I think Grey is better than Cry of Fear

Except review scores are not about being 'done right', they are subjective opinions which take objective things, like performance, into consideration. As such 5/10 should be the average, as it is in every other form of review.

But here's the thing: they're not a school grade. It's a 10 point grading system. There is no 'passing' or 'failing'. 1 is absolute shit and 10 is absolute godlike. 5 is in the middle, alright but has some flaws.
You have to look at it like how they grade essays on AP tests.
im enjoying my first manga, but I hate the more awkward scenes, as in I am always hoping that the characters will keep their clothes on for more than 5 minutes...
And what I am reading is actually considered "clean..."
makes me shudder to think what "non-clean" is...
