i think stalker is pretty dumb
i've sunk like 60 hours into all 3 games, and i just don't get it. "atmosphere" okay, i'm walking in grass and i have a gigantic gun being held by a man with the worst posture imaginable, and then i get killed by a super powerful russian that moonwalked into a mountain before doing a 367 degree turn and shooting me in the fucking head from a mile away
i don't even get the appeal

I never knew people who were annoyed by something, felt superior to it.
Breaking Bad was shit after season 1
xkcd is intellectually elitist and I don't care for it.
Dayz + Warz sucks all the way.
EDIT: Warz sucked more.
Drugs shouldn't have the social stigma they do today. Can you honestly tell me the difference between having a beer and smoking a joint?
Drugs are fine up to a point. Anyone should be allowed to enjoy the occasional smoke, or line, or whatever. But when it becomes a large part of someone's life is when they should admit they have a problem.

Because some drugs have more addicting qualities than others.
The rating system ruins the concept of a discussion forum. The dumb rating especially. It just encourages people to rate opinions they disagree with dumb without bothering to reply and offer any kind of counter points.

Sometimes I like the rating system.
It makes it makes everything feel alive
Saint's Row is forgettable.

I agree to a point but sometimes you'll come across a thread where a post is exceptionally dumb but everything that has said about it has already been said so there's no point in making a post yourself. Or you just don't feel like writing out a response and would rather show you disagree quickly and with little effort. I think the issue comes more when people tend to misuse the ratings system.

Yeah I agree with that. But if you disagree with someone you should rate them disagree, not dumb. It's rather annoying to see someone mass dumb'd because they posted an opinion that not many share.

I probably over-utilize dumb there but I try to rate dumb only when I really think the opinion is just overly dumb, especially if it's fairly obvious that posting that opinion will just cause an argument rather than a civil discussion.
White people should be allowed to be proud of themselves.
But that would be racist.
Breaking Bad was shit after season 1
I got sick of it after like the first 5 episodes, no wonder the fanbase is all hipsters and science "geeks."
I think all political opinions are flawed in some way.
Only if we can build a society around science, utilising science to give everyone the things they want within reason, and need, without the need for politics, will it be a truly fair, civilised society.
Why would you be proud of your race anyway? Being White, Black or Asian isn't a skill, it's a fucking genetic occurrence. Be proud of what you achieve on your own, rather than attaching achievements to yourself that you took no part in whatsoever.
Do you have a problem with black or Jewish pride?
The rating system ruins the concept of a discussion forum. The dumb rating especially. It just encourages people to rate opinions they disagree with dumb without bothering to reply and offer any kind of counter points.
facepunch's rating system works well enough, though. it's not like reddit where it's blind UPVOTES UP TOP DOWNVOTES AT THE BOTTOM and whatever the popular opinion is stays on top forever
the ratings exist so that there's no pointless, meaningless replies, while still letting users acknowledge the post
however, there's a good reason why ratings are disabled in mass debate, and it's what you said.

Would you rather that thirty people replied to the same post?
It gets annoying when people repeat what has already been said.

Then people should recognize when there is no point in posting.

Yeah I also have to say that agree, disagree, and dumb are pointless because of that.
However, I like ones such as funny, artistic, winner, and stuff like that though.
Then people should recognize when there is no point in posting.
But that isn't only dumb.
You would also have a lot of posts saying that they agree or disagree.
Which again would be repeating the same post.
Which would suck.

Even without the rating system there would still be no need to post every time you agree or disagree.
Even without the rating system there would still be no need to post every time you agree or disagree.
Yeah...
But what is the point of replying to anything then?
WoW hasn't really changed that much, in the end you're still killing random enemies for some guy.
Yeah...

To discuss the thread topic and offer your views and opinions?
Are you really implying that there would be no point in posting if we had no rating system?
I dislike feminists.
To discuss the thread topic and offer your views and opinions?

No.
Even without the rating system there would still be no need to post every time you agree or disagree.
You have already done that for me.
It just seems stupid not to know if people agree or disagree with you, without filling a thread with the same post.
[editline]Later[/editline]
Sometimes I would like a half-agree button.
You have already done that for me.
Not really. There is just no need to let every know every time you come across a post you agree or disagree with. The rating system helps with that, certainly, but it wouldn't be a problem without it. Every other forum in existence gets along just fine.

Then I must be one of those weird people who likes to know weather I'm is right or wrong.
Because some drugs have more addicting qualities than others.
Sure, and people should be more responsible around higher risk drugs.
I think that, instead of being taught to stay away from drugs, which obviously doesn't work, people should be taught how to use drugs responsibly. Much like how we're taught to drink responsibly.
Do you have a problem with black or Jewish pride?
Not exactly a huge problem, no. Why exactly black and Jewish?
I just feel as though 'pride' should be reserved mostly for your own personal achievements. I can kind of understand Jewish pride, since it's a religion and something a person can be proud of being a part of, but just as long as it doesn't make them think they're 'better' than anyone in a radical sense, or give them an overly sense of entitlement, or diversion from other people, then it's okay.
