[sp]Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it quite violently stated in game that "Comstock WASN'T THERE!" in regards to the Boxer Rebellion?[/sp]
[sp]Yes, because he was Booker DeWitt at the time.[/sp]
[sp]Yes, because he was Booker DeWitt at the time.[/sp]
[sp]But the Boxer Rebellion was in 1899, Booker became Comstock in the timeline where Columbia exists before that, and in the timeline where he stayed Booker his only involvement with Columbia was selling his daughter, until 1912. Slate said Comstock made up his direct involvement in both Wounded Knee and the Boxer Rebellion, we know that Comstock, as Booker, was really there at Wounded Knee, I thought it was implied that it was Slate who actually led the attack on Peking[/sp]
Or maybe it's because it's a video game and violence in video games is fun.
Violence in games is fine but pointless violence, especially here it can be avoided, gets old fast.
Counter-Strike Global Offensive is a fucking ridiculous game with shitty hit registration system that is in favor of the enemy team, so it'll drop your fucking bullets. It also spawns you in Deathmatch in ridiculous places where you can be killed in a matter of milliseconds by being camped.
CS:GO is alright if you play anything but Deathmatch or Arms Race. CS:GO is good at being Counter-Strike and not much more than that. Also, most of the matchmaking DM servers are from Pinion which are often unreliable for hit detection. It's important to know how the guns in CS:GO work, which I think can come off a little gimmicky. To me, I think it's stupid that they don't explain that your gun's recoil and your crosshair recoil are separated, because I haven't heard of that in very many other popular shooters and it was foreign to me until someone pointed it out. In order to get good at CS:GO, you're gonna have to do a slight amount of research. After that, the game is very enjoyable.
Research? When I couldn't understand why I wasn't hitting anyone, I sprayed my gun into the wall and observed the pattern. After that it's just learning the feel of the weapons (which are very picky) and how to use them. Some guns like the Negev are useless to new players while some veterans can run around cutting people down like a lawnmower over grass.
I like Star Wars Episode one.
I like Star Wars Episode one.
I don't know if this is unpopular but I think that Episode two is worse than one.
I don't know if this is unpopular but I think that Episode two is worse than one.
Episode one had at least a redeemingly fun fight scene. Episode two was boring garbage all the way through.
mila kunis isn't even that hot
She's pretty hot until you remember the role she plays on one of the world's most "popular" comedy cartoons. Then it's just a huge turn-off.
I don't know if this is unpopular but I think that Episode two is worse than one.
At least episode one can be called... interesting I guess in how bad it is. But episode two is just flat out boring which is a million times worse.

I don't get why people say that GTA IV was superior story-wise. Even though GTA V's story was more staggered due to the three protag thing, I found it more enjoyable and memorable. I think people are just having nostalgia goggles.
I think Dark Souls 2 doesn't play anywhere near as good as Dark Souls original.
The over the top violence in BS:I (especially the opening bit of violence) is meant to contrast the peaceful, idyllic version of Colombia that Comstock wants people to see, versus the dark underbelly.
I don't get why people say that GTA IV was superior story-wise. Even though GTA V's story was more staggered due to the three protag thing, I found it more enjoyable and memorable. I think people are just having nostalgia goggles.
My issues with V are these: None of the characters were as half as relatable as Niko. Michael was the best one in that department, because he actually struggles with a lot of things, but still. I'm not saying characters HAVE to be relatable to be good, but it's still important. Trevor was amazing but there were quite a few parts in the story where his writing was sub-par, and it almost felt like there were two different Trevors in the game. As for Franklin, he was just out of place and, frankly, had no character. I don't know why, but it seems that after the story shifts towards Michael and Trevor a little more, it feels like they just fired the entire team that worked on the writing for Franklin, cause he just loses his personality halfway through the game. Friends. I'm not talking about the friend system (because V's is way better), just about the amount of friends you get. While LS does feel a lot more alive than LC, I don't feel like I'm having any impact whatsoever on the citizens of Los Santos. But in IV? I almost felt like Packie, Dwayne and Little Jacob were actual people, and that Niko actually affected their lives. In V, however, you lose a big part of that. Michael has his family, Trevor has like, two friends, and Franklin has... Lamar? The whole thing feels a lot more "scripted". I don't feel like there are a lot of other "real" characters in LS. Last thing, the ending. While I have not played [sp]Endings A or B, I played the "Deathwish" one, and it was so incredibly disappointing. The most dangerous ending has literally no consequences. You literally just kill all the people you don't like and solve all your problems, and it's all anti-climatic as fuck, especially the part where you kill Devin, which is followed by a conversation that's less emotional and exciting than Roman's phone calls. Not just that, though: it's also shoddily done. No special locations, almost all of it is done outside, and you can see that there's no effort put into it at all. Hell, when you get to Stretch he's literally just standing there with 3 other guys. Even Devin Weston's house is only guarded by like, 15 guys. Why not huge shootouts in new interiors or something? Isn't it the big, risky ending after all?[/sp] [editline]31st March 2014[/editline] Honestly, it just seems like R* rushed V. Not just the story, but a lot of other stuff too. Maybe it was just the hype and the pressure that caught up with them? Who knows. It's still a game I absolutely love, but it has quite a few blatant flaws
I have the Pinion ([sp]Piece of a shit company that hosts terrible server that lags you to hell and back[/sp]) ports blocked yet my hit registration on other servers are really shitty while the enemy has the best.
Welcome to the wonderful world of 64tick where you shoot somebody in The head with an AWP and blood sprays into The wall behind him but his head seems to deflect bullets. [editline]31st March 2014[/editline]
Research? When I couldn't understand why I wasn't hitting anyone, I sprayed my gun into the wall and observed the pattern.
-response-
Yeah, I can agree on some of those parts. I don't really agree that they weren't as relatable as Niko, but then again I've always had a bee in my bonnet about Niko so I'm biased like that, I'll admit. I think they were very well written characters despite being the antithesis of what I'd find 'relatable' in a person. Trevor is a bit over-the-top and schizophrenic and Franklin is about as interesting as a block of wood, but I prefer them over Niko's continual train wreck where he took no control of what he was doing and then wondered why things went so badly for him. [sp]Ending A & B are pretty lackluster in terms of gameplay - drive to destination, cutscene, chase Trevor/Michael for a minute, scripted event, they're dead, roll credits. But I felt they shed a bit of light on the characters. Particularly, Michael's affinity to stab people in the back if he needs to to save his skin, Trevor having his fucked up morals of hating Michael and wanting him dead, but refusing to take part in it because he doesn't associate with 'traitors' and Franklin either taking control of the situation and trying to save his friends or cover his own ass. Granted, C wrapped things up a bit too neatly, but then again, whose to say that isn't the case? Could be interpreted as it feels that way because the protagonists feel that way. Unless you're talking about pacing, then yeah that sucked.[/sp]
I'm not completely convinced Julian Assange is currently running away from some massive conspiracy to extradite him to the USA.
Meet the Sniper is the best "Meet the" video. The music just aggravates that badly.
Meet the Sniper is the best "Meet the" video. The music just aggravates that badly.
What do you mean by music just aggravates that badly? Does it bother you?
What do you mean by music just aggravates that badly? Does it bother you?
My words weren't clear, I meant to say that the music makes it even better.
TDR 2000 isn't nearly as awful as everyone makes it out to be. The Brimstone power-up from the Binding of Isaac does me more harm than good.
TDR 2000 isn't nearly as awful as everyone makes it out to be. The Brimstone power-up from the Binding of Isaac does me more harm than good.
That's because Brimstone was nerfed, it was super OP before

I think it's barbaric that people praise the sniper in that news story.
Meet the Sniper is the best "Meet the" video. The music just aggravates that badly.
I liked meet the spy more
I think it's barbaric that people praise the sniper in that news story.
...a soldier doing his job? Sure there are the soldiers that enjoy killing but you can't and shouldn't attack soldiers for doing what they do. Attack governments for telling them to.
...a soldier doing his job? Sure there are the soldiers that enjoy killing but you can't and shouldn't attack soldiers for doing what they do. Attack governments for telling them to.
It's not like soldiers are forced to do their job.
It's not like soldiers are forced to do their job.
Yeah but if they want to "serve their country", need a job, or are just thrown into the military life, then they ARE forced to do their job. Not taking that shot wasn't an option. [editline]1st April 2014[/editline] I'm not saying it should be glorified but the shot took skill and the soldier was just doing his job. That's how combat works.
I don't really mind the Google+ integration on Youtube. After I said yes it all just seems like the same.
