System Shock 2 has too many flaws to be considered a masterpiece
In my opinion, Mafia II is one of the best crime games.
I think Mafia I is a masterpiece, but I find myself Replaying Mafia II quite often. It has a kind of charm. A real shame it was deadlined.
-I don't like alcohol
Agreed, alcoholic drinks are shit.
Agreed, alcoholic drinks are shit.
Vodka is the drink of the gods
Vodka is pretty average tbh
I've never been a fan of clear spirits
Vodka, Gin, silver tequila, white rum all rub me the wrong way
I love cognac and makers mark is nice tho. I got time for dark spirits
more of a wine person
Agreed, alcoholic drinks are shit.
I'll drink to that
The extolment of individualism and rebelliousness as a way to 'buck the system' is the ultimate display of cultural hegemony, because it presupposes that one is already in a position of privilege to be able to indulge such excesses of the Self.
Sometimes I like to google big words to make myself sound smarter.

All those who like to wax philosophical take this to heart
Could you try to sound more profound?
What the hell are you talking about? I wasn't trying at all. It's just something that came off the top of my head and that's just the way I happened to word it.

Going by the logic of my previous post and the fact that I have the unpopular opinion here, I've forced myself to accept that I'm verbose.
So, uh, congratulations, guys?
People who moan about winner ratings when there's a thread in SSH about a guy who got injured or killed doing something stupid/something he shouldn't have are incredibly annoying.
I get that human life is inherently valuable, but not that inherently valuable. I'd understand moaning if it was a thread like "Man trespasses for vine video, steps on a landmine", but not when it's "Cop tries to shoot dog, shoots himself instead", especially when in the latter case he didn't even die.

I'm not a big fan of Collectathons.
A lot of times SH is pretty hard to distinguish from /pol.
And sometimes Stormfront.
As crazy as this sounds, I don't think the idea of 'hard work' should exist in the moral sense.
In the case of talent-building, I like to view the process less as an act of strong-willed, dogged repetition, and more as something akin to an addict's routine drug use that is clearly unpleasant and difficult to do but cannot be interrupted because it yields some sort of high in the end. Or alternatively, it can be viewed as something that someone pursues because they have nothing better to do, since humans - much like the forces of nature - seem to seek vacuums, or in this case, outlets.
The only other thing that really determines whether or not a person continues to engage in strenuous activity, barring factors like personality traits such as conscientiousness for instance, is whether or not they have an affinity for it. But I tend to be skeptical of the idea that all one really needs to do to become talented at something is to develop a passion for it, simply because I believe that people cannot force themselves into liking stuff that they don't already like.

/pol/ is becoming more influential because some people are starting to lose faith in existing political institutions
and usually they have good reasons as to why
Meritocracy is the worst form of reinforcing existing social structures. It pays lip service to how unfair the system is and then does absolutely nothing to address the issue. At least people who straight up don't give a shit will admit it. People advocating meritocracy admit there is an problem and then do nothing about it in the slimiest way possible.
Races don't exist in the way most people think of them, but there are still some uncomfortable differences between humans that sometimes need to be addressed.
While different groups of people exist, it's not a reason to deny them basic human dignity or respect based on said innate differences. Ignoring these have lead to problems where many old working social institutions have been destroyed or dismantled, and the population is unable to adapt to or build a new society because decades or even centuries is have been wasted before attempting to repair the damage, on the flawed assumption that all humans are alike physically and mentally.
I Think release date gaps between consoles / country's / anything else is very stupid , even more when you already have the thing working on both areas
I feel that the "Imperial Presidency" and the rise to America's oligarchy actually started with Lincoln.

that's actually a really smart thought process you've got going tbh
I really dislike edm, the kind of music that they play on tomorrowland, it gets on my nerves and most of the time the bass and the beats make me nauseous, it all sorta blends together and sounds the same to me.
Also the scene around it kinda feels weird and rubs me the wrong way. There are boatloads of artists who have millions of tracks that aren't part of albums or EPs, just random tracks on soundcloud, they usually have a hit or 2 that people listen to but that's it, everybody seems to ignore all of their other work.
I Think steam greenlight is a piece of shit and most of the games that get accepted are shit , there are some exeptions on some games , but im talking in the majority
that's actually a really smart thought process you've got going tbh
But like, think about it. Lincoln would repeatedly go out of his way to continue to press his efforts in the Civil War. I'm not saying it was a bad thing that he wanted to free the slaves and unite the nation, but he would have people arbitrarily arrested. This soon led to a time where the president of the United States was no longer just another part of the government, but the "leader of the nation", which was not detailed in the founders ideals.
It really took rise in the mid 40s with WWII, with the President making most of the governmental decisions as opposed to it having to wade through congress. This then led to a serious division of left/right, and eventually became what we have today: "This guy has more money, therefore more support, which means more money, vicious cycle".
Am I saying "obongo is the antikrist". No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that the vicious cycle has been a thing since FDR, frankly (no pun intended).
