I'm not obligated to answer and I'm already being yelled at for posting my unpopular opinion in the, oh look at that, unpopular opinions thread.
You posted a popular opinion, not an unpopular one, and one that doesn't make all that much sense. People have a right to question you on it.
You posted a popular opinion, not an unpopular one, and one that doesn't make all that much sense. People have a right to question you on it.
I don't get why people think they won't get criticized or something by posting here. It's an unpopular opinions thread but if your opinion is wrong or idiotic I don't see why you can't be told it's wrong or why you are an idiot for thinking it. What would be the point of a thread for only posting opinions with no discussion at all? It'd be stupid as hell.
Boo. It is my suspicion that most people who say that alcoholic drinks are shit just don't like the idea of being intoxicated. Which is fine on its own, but there are a shitton of alcoholic drinks, and plenty of mixed drinks don't taste like alcohol if they're made right. Alternatively, I bet a lot of people have a beer or vodka as their first drink and find it disgusting and suddenly all alcohol is bad. Of course, I can't rule out that you're some kind of superhuman that can taste alcohol in any quantities, but somehow I think it's less likely.
This so much, I used to be the same but people in general don't understand alcohol, people try their first beer like it's water or soda or something, you drink a bit at a time and you enjoy the nice refreshing taste, if I just try and drink it as fast as possible it's just eh but then what's the point of drinking it. Also mixed drinks are amazing, a classic gin and tonic with ice is so refreshing and has a great taste for example. But yeah people just don't get alcohol try something bad once and go around yelling it's disgusting. But people aren't going to learn about different drinks and shit when parties boil down to everyone buying the cheapest vodka there is to take shots to get drunk as fast as possible even if it tastes disgusting. For a party I once brought really good whiskey instead of some disgusting cheap garbage and everyone went nuts over it because it actually tasted good and they never even heard of it before. Or like I'll see people at parties chug beers and think they are badass or something when there isn't even a point then? like I love getting drunk but with shit that actually tastes good like come on. Also what that other poster said, darker alcohol is 400 times nicer. cognac, whiskey, dark rum = art

Whether it be by itself, watered down or in a mix I just can't enjoy it. A shame, because a 12 year old bottle of it was such a nice present from my brother.
Steam should have an option to go back to old visuals , i really miss the old steam chat sound back on 2004 , also , steam should have a new layout , and having this option to go back to old visuals if nobody liked it
You posted a popular opinion, not an unpopular one, and one that doesn't make all that much sense. People have a right to question you on it.
From how I was immediately rated dumb and whatnot I'd say its pretty unpopular.
I like Lil Wayne.

There's some pretty big variation in scotch. (much more than most liquors, imo)
I'm sick of MOBAs. They aren't original and they're an obvious cash in with most cases (See: Warriors of the Storm)
I'm sick of MOBAs. They aren't original and they're an obvious cash in with most cases (See: Warriors of the Storm)
If you're going to complain about something at least know the right name for it. It's like Bat-Shit complaining about the Jon&Tron Show.
WiiMote + Nunchuck is my favourite controller ever
With you saying you liked mythbusters, JoergSprave and carsandwater seem like channels you should like. It seems like you're just being closed minded.
Yes you are mostly right, so were all the other posts before you. However, I don't see how YMS would be useful to anyone with a critical mind towards films in general, as should be. As for JoergSprave, I think he's just kind of an amateur-ish builder plus the stuff he makes is hugely impractical and overthetop.. brings me to ask what good are the slingshots to him or anyone? Same goes for RHNB, no real science behind it, just burning/destroying things with what happens to be a heated nickel ball. It's wasteful.
WiiMote + Nunchuck is my favourite controller ever
Wii Classic controller is best in my personal opinion. A real d-pad instead of one of those garbage circle pads, good button layout, still has two thumbsticks and the same total amount of buttons as a DualShock controller which was my previous favorite.
And Awesomenauts.
On the subject of hip hop, I think the southern rap scene doesn't get enough appreciation, especially the material from its earlier years.
definitely. Nowadays Atlanta is doing really well but Florida is pretty unrecognised. Guys like Robb Bank$, Denzel Curry, Spaceghostpurrrp, and Simmie are all strictly underground, they got little to no mainstream recognition
I fucking love Denzel Curry.
Are you telling me that Dota 2 isn't original? It's a direct sequel to the original "MOBA", which is to say Defence of the Ancients, the WC3 mod. Also, Smite is very fun, imo. Unlike Dota 2, you have to buy the characters. But unlike LoL, you only have to pay once.
Tons of incorrect stuff about this genre. And many mobas do something to set themselves apart, heroes of the storm is meant to be the simplest to get in to, and provide a lot of fanservice.

JoergSprave and RHNB just experiment with stuff and show us what theyre doing. Basically, they all put out original and interesting content. That's all there is to it.
Also Totalbiscuit is a good.(I saw him say he was bad)
I think the autism "spectrum" is bullshit because of how expansive it's gotten and how arbitrary some of the syptoms are ("Quotes movies or video games" being an example: you can quote songs constantly and never be included in this). IMO, autism should be diagnosed only when specific symptoms are present, and only if all of them are present. Having a "spectrum" (at least one as big as this one) basically makes everyone autistic which in turn means nobody is autistic.
Apparently I have autism.

But, while somebody quoting movies often isn't a sure sign of autism, it's something one would do as they often become attached to media as they have difficulty forming relationships.

Frequent gas (flatulence, burping) or throwing up. Allergies and food sensitivities. May have a very high vocabulary.
lol who the hell came up with this shit? tons of people have had constipation, everyone farts, and allergies are incredibly common? have a good vocabulary? looks like youre autistic there, buddy. logic.
Exceptionally high skills in some areas and very low in others.
this is the most retarded of the bunch, surely nearly everyone has sucked in one area/multiple, but is good at others? not a very good source
I tried to find other lists but that was the only one I could come across that actually listed all the symptoms. Well, that one and one in a blog that is literally the same thing.
Keep in mind regular folk like you or me aren't supposed to be seriously diagnosing ASD. A lot of people just throw around 'lol I'm autistic' or get called autistic because they're just different (whether it be introverted or have a quirky personallity or something equally non-autistic).
I don't like ketchup , it look like a sour thing but its sweet , and sweet things with sour things are kinda messed up togueter
I think the autism "spectrum" is bullshit because of how expansive it's gotten and how arbitrary some of the syptoms are ("Quotes movies or video games" being an example: you can quote songs constantly and never be included in this).
That's not what the site is trying to get across. That site just lists POSSIBLE symptoms for someone on the spectrum to have. Most of those can also be attributed to a variety of other mental illness (depression, ADD/ADHD, borderline personality, schizo-*, OCD) Thing like "quote movies or games" is more of a deficit of social communication. Knowing movie trivia is fine, but having a conversation almost solely using movie/game quotes with a stranger is considered an abnormal social approach.
IMO, autism should be diagnosed only when specific symptoms are present, and only if all of them are present. Having a "spectrum" (at least one as big as this one) basically makes everyone autistic which in turn means nobody is autistic.
But, this is how its diagnosed? That site you linked just shows characteristics an autistic person MAY have. It's actually even labeled at the top as such. You should look at something like the DSM 4/5 for a better criteria, but it's still not something set in stone and differs greatly between people.
No one will exhibit all of these characteristics, as each case of autism has its own unique gifts and struggles. This is a list of commonly seen characteristics found on the autism spectrum. This list is provided for educational purposes and not meant to be used for diagnosing autism. Many of these characteristics can also be found in those struggling with ADD/ADHD. Generally, an individual with autism will have struggles in several categories below, not just one.
But IMO the "high functioning"/aspergers shouldn't really be considered autistic in most cases. For example I knew someone in high school who was diagnosed with aspergers but he is completely normal. His parents just urged the doctor to give a diagnosis. But on the other side, there was someone who DID have aspergers, and it was quite obvious he needed help from a counselor to help him from blurting out inappropriate subjects/stay focused/change activities. tl;dr: I think that people can be quick to jump to their child/whoever having aspergers/high functioning autism, which does kind of destroy the validity of the autism spectrum for people who legitimately are autistic.
09ers are all retarded
