i doubt theres that many people that expected an action game, most of the complaints are about it being pretentious as well as overpriced
Obviously that was an exaggeration but nearly every time I see someone say they didn't like it their claim is always along the lines of "but it wasn't even a game!" which is an issue with their expectations of it is what I meant. It's the same thing with Gone Home or Dear Esther or whatever else game there is like those two. If it looks like it's going to be a walking simulator as people have called them, then they should maybe rethink even buying it in the first place. Not all games are for everyone. Ie: Games like La-Mulana or Super Meat Boy are very difficult platformers and SMB is a fair bit more popular from what I know but La-Mulana is a very niche game. Another example would be casual games like hidden object games. If they're not something you enjoy then you should just not play them rather than complain that they didn't cater to your tastes.
I like how people love MonsterGirlQuest but hate on Gone Home, with the excuse that Gone Home "isnt a game". Gone Home is actually more of a "game". Because it's really interactive. MGQ is just a visual novel, which is a game too, but less interactive. Also, I hate how people say that a game "isnt a game", if you can interact with it, it's a game.

I'm not saying Gone Home isn't a game, I'm just saying that such a broad definition means essentially anything that exists is a game.
I have begun to have doubts about use of the term "gender". Having read into it, the guy (John Money) who first created the distinction between gender and sex (back when gender was a term used in language) was a pseudo scientist who mutilated the genitals of a young boy to try raising him as a girl (the result was suicide). He in addition had falsified much of his research, but his views became influential in creating the concept of a "gender" you identify as, as something separate to sex. Only really in the past 30 years has the term "gender" come to de facto replace "sex", much of it without much grounding at all. People who create multiple "sexes" or "genders" based upon a few outlying tiny numbers of medical defects (such as the tiny fraction of those born intersex) seem to ignore the fact that while small numbers of such people do exist, humans are by and large a sexually dimorphic species in physiology and psychology.

However, in terms of gameplay, it just falls flat on it's face, and can ruin the entire game for some people
I find family guy entertaining

You don't wake up every day and decide which you would prefer that day.
Dead Space 3 is just a really fun game. Like I don't get the hate. However, it is my first Dead Space game (I do own Dead Space 1 haven't played yet) but I don't see how that would really change anything. Is their some story related issue with DS3 that caused such a large amount of dislike?
A lot of it is just personal taste issues. DS 1 is generally regarded as being the most atmospheric and creepy, while DS 3 is mostly just straight up action and violence, and DS 2 is somewhere in the middle. Most people just didn't like the change in direction with the third game becoming more action oriented, hell some people hated the second game for that exact reason too, but IMO the second game is the best one out of the entire series because it's got a nice balance of atmosphere and action. And Dead Space was never really that much of a horror game to begin with, it's more of an action thriller. Despite Dead Space being my favorite game I'm a bit rusty on the story having not played the third one in a while, so I can't really answer that. IIRC they delve a bit deeper into the origin of the markers and what all is up with them, so some of the mystery behind the Necromorphs is removed. I think what mostly got people upset though was the introduction of the completely optional co-op. They saw " Dead Space " and " Co-op " in the same sentence and immediately lost all hope for the series. A more reasonable complaint though was the unnecessary change of Ellie's character. She dumps Isaac and generally becomes an unlikable deadweight that doesn't do much for most of the game other than [sp]needing to be rescued.[/sp] She was just much better in DS 2 when she was a bit more of an independent badass. Carver is a pretty good character although I think most people didn't like him because he immediately appeared to be the embodiment of your typical modern shooter beefcake guy, but this is revealed to not be true and I think he's got some worth in the story. Honestly I think most of this just boils down to gamers being afraid of their precious games trying new things. People go nuts if their favorite series starts taking a slightly different direction or trying out new stuff. I try to keep an open mind, because it's not like they're taking the game and turning it into something completely different like a moba or a racing game, that would be weird. Instead they're just trying to advance the plot and introduce new stuff to keep the title fresh. If we had the same thing for 3 games straight then people would be crying about that too, you just can't win really.
The Half-Life 2 games look so bad now, and not even in a charming way like with Half-Life 1. They just look like shitier verisons of modern games.
The lyrics are angsty teenage garbage
I actually like the sound, but the lyrics are off-putting in some of their songs.
It seems very odd for Epic to not do a fourth Unreal Tournament game. Wasn't that franchise like the poster boy for their engine?
I find family guy entertaining
I actually think the newer episodes are much better than the older ones. It all pales in comparison to American Dad, though. porn or erotic art based on material from cartoons is disgusting. if you try to justify it then i'm going to, quite plainly, steer clear of you
There's a reason I think genderfluidity is crock. You don't wake up every day and decide which you would prefer that day.
and to elaborate on this. I'm fine with transsexual people. They don't choose to put themselves through the hardships that many Transsexual people face, they were born being that way. To me, genderfludism flies in the face of that, and makes it seem like a choice rather than something you're born with.
I hate it when people use the "it doesn't affect you so you shouldn't care" argument, there's no reason why I can't have an opinon about something that doesn't affect me.
that's not the argument anyone uses it's that you can have your opinion but you shouldn't actually have a say
"Theme Park MMOs" aren't inherently bad, and people dismissing them for not being sandbox MMOs are big dumb dumbs.
I actually like Two Broke Girls.
It seems very odd for Epic to not do a fourth Unreal Tournament game. Wasn't that franchise like the poster boy for their engine?
It was until UT3. [sp]Don't give me that "hurr durrr map details and graphix" bullshit either. UT was about gameplay, and UT3 destroyed that by making each character feel like they wore cement shoes compared to the acrobatic twitchiness of the previous games.[/sp]

Unreal Tournament 3 had good game feel, excellent vehicles and good combat. It just took a slower approach than 2K4. I, personally, absolutely loved both, with more love being places on 2K4 'cause that was literally my childhood. I dunno, I see and understand a lot of the problems people have with UT3 but i liked it. The Necris vehicles were the fucking best.

They really were fun to drive and fly and felt like they had some real weight and power behind them rather than gliding over everything.
Total biscuit fans are about as bad as pewdiepie fans

And you had to pump less bullets into a single target to kill them.
Total biscuit fans are about as bad as pewdiepie fans
I think any fanbase for any popular youtube channel are all equally as toxic.
I find JonTron so unfunny I cringe just by thinking about it.
I think any fanbase for any popular youtube channel are all equally as toxic.
Those darn toxic minutephysics and Vsauce fans, they are the worst
VSauce isn't entertaining, since about 90% of the video is unrelated tangents half the time.
It's absolutely retarded how the rust section whenever the subject of a female playermodel comes up there's always a bunch of people that instantly go "lol u stupid rust isnt a porno game" If just having a nude female playermodel makes it a porn game how does the current nude male playermodel not make it one?
VSauce isn't entertaining, since about 90% of the video is unrelated tangents half the time.
and that's relevant to the supposed toxicity of any popular youtuber fanbase? Also he has 7.1 million subs, a lot of people disagree with you there.
I severely dislike Jeremy Clarkson and I find him unfunny.
