Mario Kart sold so damn well because the Wii was already widely owned, it was deeply proliferated the market. But now that its exclusive to a failing console? It'll sell very well to Wii U owners, but it won't move consoles.
The whole reason the Wii U isn't selling is because people are waiting until it has games though. [editline]8th May 2014[/editline] Also to claim that the Wii U is "failing" this early into the generation is just insane. If last gen is anything to go by we've got almost a decade to go before it's over.
I think Bo Burnham is funny as fuck
He is pretty good, his singing is a bit of a turn off for me. He does have some pretty great Vines
fanart of peach fucking bowser willingly pisses me off. mario been busting his ass for years trying to keep the bitch safe from him and she can't tell him how it really is? fuck that shit.

The Wii U has had a year head start on the PS4 and XBone and both have already sold almost double the number of units. People are waiting for it to have games, exactly, there are only like 3 worthwhile games and it has been out for a year and a half, the PS4 and XBone have as many worthwhile games and offer online services that the Wii U doesn't (or at least doesn't advertise).

Also, the PS4 and Xbone still have no decent games out, or announced.
Regarding KF2, i'm somewhat concerned as to what exactly they can add without attracting unwanted attention from Left 4 Dead fanboys despite the original mod existing prior to L4D

A highly advanced gore system, a revamp of the classes and the benefits they get from leveling up, and much more modding versatility are the three major additions right now.
It's nice that Killing Floor 2 has been announced but I do think people are getting a bit too excited about it.
I think it's okay to be excited, but creating hype for something that hasn't been released yet isn't a good idea. (Like saying it's going to be really good.)
I think chocolate is gross.
I think chocolate is gross.
Oh, how gloomy life must be for you
I think chocolate is gross.
What kind of chocolate? There's a ton. I'm not a fan of dark chocolate anymore, but prefer milk chocolate and white chocolate.
What kind of chocolate? There's a ton. I'm not a fan of dark chocolate anymore, but prefer milk chocolate and white chocolate.
I loved milk chocolate when I was a kid but now I think even that is gross. I also never really liked white chocolate.
I loved milk chocolate when I was a kid but now I can't even eat that.
dubious-quality chocolate milk cartons turned me off from that stuff for years in school. now, once in a blue moon i get a cold quart of chocolate milk in a glass bottle and it tastes amazing, considering that it's from a mom and pop brand.

I don't get it. Also, I love white chocolate even though it's really just chemicals and sugar. White chocolate doesn't have any actual chocolate in it.
What? It's made with cocoa butter.
It does, but cocoa butter isn't the defining factor of whether or not a food is considered "chocolate". It would have to contain cocoa solids to actually be a type of chocolate.
American chocolate is shit, but I love stuff like Kinder.
American chocolate is shit, but I love stuff like Kinder.
I dunno, Pot of Gold is pretty awesome.
American chocolate is shit, but I love stuff like Kinder.
thems fightin words
American chocolate is shit, but I love stuff like Kinder.
American chocolate is unbelievably horrible.
I fucking hate Adventure Time. I hate it so much. Everything about it drives me insane. It's so fucking pretentious and up its own ass. HEY LOOK AT HOW HIP WE ARE yeah no go fuck yourself.
I fucking hate Adventure Time. I hate it so much. Everything about it drives me insane. It's so fucking pretentious and up its own ass. HEY LOOK AT HOW HIP WE ARE yeah no go fuck yourself.
When is it pretentious?
I love fruit pastels and bacon
When is it pretentious?
Because if you need an excuse to hate something popular, calling it pretentious is a sure-fire way.
I would absolutely hate if WW2 FPS's came back. Everything that can be done has been done.
This is objectively false and betrays an astounding ignorance as to the scale of the war.
This is objectively false and betrays an astounding ignorance as to the scale of the war.
There are entire theaters that I doubt have even been touched. [editline]9th May 2014[/editline]
Everything anyone would be interested in, then. I don't think many people except for history buffs would be interested in a WW2 game set in Africa. I suppose a French Resistance game could be cool? But I still think that people would be uninterested in another WW2 FPS.
uh, there have been plenty of mass-market WW2 games in Africa that appeal to a wider audience than just history buffs See: Battlefield 1942, Call of Duty 2

Erwin Rommel, THE DESERT FUCKING FOX, would only be interesting to "history buffs". Credibility=gone
Why don't we have more WW1 and earlier games?
Why don't we have more WW1 and earlier games?
"Because they just sat around all day" for WWI. (Though I wonder why we don't play WWII games where we're sitting in camp all day waiting for orders, etc...). And for things before that, either lazy developers don't want to do actual research, or "MUSKETS TAKE TOO DAMN LONG TO RELOAD!!!!". The only community where I've seen games succeed with Muskets and shit is the Mount and Blade modding community (Age of Blood and Iron and Imperialism, Iron Europe, etc...). Plus an official Napoleonic Wars DLC (Which started off as the mod Mount and Musket, and before that Musket Madness). Flying Squirrel, the developers of NW, are working on a Civil War Multiplayer FPS, and there is another Civil War Multiplayer FPS in development as well called "War of Rights". I mean look at this most fun I've ever had in a multiplayer game save for RO2.
Well yeah they take forever to reload, but that adds a certain sense of panic and also opens up for a dynamic of bayonets, sidearms and swords. I dunno, we have pretty much nothing from essentially medieval to WW1. The only mainstream games that have really touched on those eras was AssCreed, to my knowledge.
