kids under a certain age/height should be banned from all public places. Here's why:
1. Volume
2. It's illegal to punch them even if they're being insufferable shitheads
3. They stink
4. Tripping hazard
Oh come on now, not all kids are THAT bad...
[sp]what kind of kids do you have to work with?[/sp]
Football / soccer is shit and I judge you if you like it.
Baseball will always be the best sport.
I like playing sports, especially basketball but fucking ALL of them are boring to watch.
I'm not sure how unpopular this is, but I prefer 3D platformers over 2D.
People take sport waaay too seriously. Like yeah maybe it's fun to watch but why is it presented like it's some sort of epic world-changing event? And how can people care so much about it to the point of celebrating (and/or going apeshit)? It's just a bunch of dudes playing a game.
(also applies to esport to some extent)

My theory is that they feel that caring about anything else real like politics or global inequality is pointless because they don't feel they can change anything without leaving their comfortable existence behind. Football or whatever gives them something to be passionate about where they will see results and can convince themselves they played a part in success or positivity in supporting their team or whatever. It fills a void that many feel they have.
I don't like the whole cosmetics, F2P, keys, and more that Valve is implementing in their new multiplayer games. I also don't really like Steam in general but I'm forced to use it because there's no viable alternative.
I don't like being born a Russian, I'm always painted in a negative light when I'm around, especially talking about politics.

It's barely got anything to do with filling voids or politics.
There's a great cultural connection between sports clubs and supporters (especially in Europe), Football clubs in particular are deeply rooted in their local communities. When you live in those areas and grow up with these teams you gain this great connection with them. There's a rich personal affinity there, it's like asking someone why they love where they're from or why they love their family. It's certainly true for clubs that don't experience so much success.
In Britain you have clubs that are 100+ years old so that deep bond between club and supporter is passed down from generation to generation in an almost traditional way, it's just become culturally ingrained.

eh, not everything revolves around politics or the big questions of the day
most people generally don't care and just want to get on with their lives
Half the posts in unpopular opinions are actually very popular opinions.
Sports are just so repetitive and boring, its a whole lot of balls and sweaty men for 3 hours straight
You know exactly what you are going to see before you go in and that doesn't sound interesting at all
or im a big fuckin nerd that gets bored easy

Or, I dunno, maybe they just like it
I don't agree with the whole gender crisis' thing. A girl in my class identifies herself as a boy? But she's quite clearly a girl. I think it's a convoluted attempt to make herself seem more interesting and different, sort it out.
Half the posts in unpopular opinions are actually very popular opinions.
That's a fact not an opinion

Sadly, that's actually quite popular.
Here's Zukriuchen the ultimate defender of fashion
Jeans are jeans. They all come from the same factories in China anyway.
All jeans aren't the same. You have different fits, different colors and tons of different little details. Same with every other article of clothing.
I think people who seriously believe it's a good idea to spend $20 or more on a single article of clothing should be forced to wear tattered rags for a month. Clothes shouldn't be that expensive.
If they can afford it, then why not? Unless you're buying stuff for the brand alone, you'll usually get much higher quality stuff if you're willing to spend a little more money ($20 is a very small budget anyway)
Besides, there's plenty of stuff you simply cannot find for under $20. Good luck finding a decent leather jacket or parka for that price, for example.
It's just so wasteful to me. There are so many more important things in life than buying the "latest expensive trendy pop culture le may may xD" clothes.
Clothes aren't just about being trendy. Looking good is important for a number of reasons. They can help you feel better about yourself, they can be a hobbie, but more importantly, they can define how other people react to you.
There's nothing wrong with judging people by their appearance (to an extent, because if that's ALL you take into account before even knowing that person, then you're an asshole), it's human nature. Someone's appearance will always be a huge part of their first impression on you, and that's really important. Being well-groomed and coming off as someone who cares about your appearance will always be a positive thing, whether you're trying to meet new people, impress a girl, or interview for a job
Sadly, that's actually quite popular.
I commonly back up my case with: "Well we've been fine being either a boy or a girl for thousands of years.." which is apparently the most rage invoking comment to gender benders hahaha.
Also worth mentioning is that if there's a scientific explaination for this feeling, like a natural hormone imbalance then I'm fine with it. It's just the 'I'm different for no reason' bit I don't agree with
Except that it's not "for no reason". If you'd take the time to just do some research and just look up what they're talking about, you'd see the actual science behind it.
gender benders
And that's just rude.
I like playing sports, especially basketball but fucking ALL of them are boring to watch.
This for sure. Biggest example of this for me are let's plays, whenever one of my friends shows me one I pretty much blank out and wish I could play the game itself instead.

Unless the game is particularly bad or the Let's Players are particularly entertaining.
Continue? is one of the best shows on the internet.

So you're just not going to listen instead of just read?

You've stated yourself that you'd be fine with a scientific explanation, and there is.
So you're just not going to listen instead of just read?
I did a bit of research, I mean I have a tumblr account so that's close enough to it.
You've stated yourself that you'd be fine with a scientific explanation, and there is.
But there was nothing different about this girl who identifies as a boy, she has no hormone imbalances, her only justification is 'I feel like I was born in the wrong body' or 'We shouldn't let doctors define who we are!!' and nonsense like that.
we've been fine being either a boy or a girl for thousands of years so...
Honestly, why do you even give a shit? Like, why does anyone care?
If I die my hair black would you get angry at me because I'm supposed to have brown hair?
I did a bit of research, I mean I have a tumblr account so that's close enough to it.
No, that's not right at all. It's unfair to just throw it out. Here, just skim through This and This. It's been recorded, researched and stated as fact by psychologists and various studies.
Please, don't be rude and just try to understand where I'm coming from.
Honestly, why do you even give a shit? Like, why does anyone care?
If I die my hair black would you get angry at me because I'm supposed to have brown hair?
No, but if you kept insisting your hair is naturally black and shoving it down my throat, then I'd care.
No, but if you kept insisting your hair is naturally black and shoving it down my throat, then I'd care.
Nobody is "shoving it down your throat" when it comes to being Transgender. It's the same as when someone says "stop shoving your atheism down my throat" after asking about one's religion.
No, but if you kept insisting your hair is naturally black and shoving it down my throat, then I'd care.
That's not what they're doing, they know that they were born as a woman/man, but want to be a man/woman/whatever.
It's like if I was born with brown hair but insisted that I should've been born with black hair.
Nobody is "shoving it down your throat" when it comes to being Transgender. It's the same as when someone says "stop shoving your atheism down my throat" after asking about one's religion.
No the idea of shoving something down someone's throat is the idea of forcefully making me accept their beliefs. What started this feud is when I referred to this girl as a girl, and she got verbally aggressive calling me insolent and arrogant [sp](I can see that to be fair)[/sp] for not being respectful of how she chooses to identify herself. I wouldn't care if she told me she chooses to identify as a boy, but I shouldn't have to identify her as a boy??? I don't know how to make that make sense - The same way I wouldn't tell a Jew to stop believing in god because I don't believe in god.
I wouldn't care if she told me she chooses to identify as a boy, but I shouldn't have to identify her as a boy???
But that's not right. When someone wants you to identify them as the gender they identify as, it's not only common courtesy but it's just the right thing to do.
They aren't "forcefully making you accept their beliefs". Granted, her reaction could have been less hostile, but it's just inconsiderate and rude to not identify them as the way they identify themselves. It does literally no harm to you at all.
It's seriously adding an 's' to "he" or removing an 's' from "she", it shouldn't make you feel so defensive/cornered.
