Oh no I am well aware it was left open to another game.
There just shouldn't be another game.
fantastic argument my friend
Another portal game should never happen.
I'm not a big fan of Valve at all but excusing the memeshit parts of Portal and Portal 2 which were never even funny and just irritating the gameplay in both games was great.
Definitely, I loved both games.
I'd just rather there not be another one.
if ur not gonna bother with explaining why you think that way then why keep posting about it
Because it's a thread where you post an unpopular opinion, so I posted my unpopular opinion. Not my fault you're all getting your dicks in a knot and telling me I'm wrong.
If you want to know, I felt both Chell's story and the co-op story left me with equal amounts satisfaction and ambiguity. I was perfectly content with it, and feel that another game detracts from that. I don't feel like everything needs to be spelled out to be good.
Taa-daa. Now continue telling me to not feel that way.

no its just silly to post the same thing over and over
you dont have to explain your opinion but you also dont have to repeat the exact same stuff 3 times

wait what memeshit parts? I never noticed any stuff like that in the games, unless you count the parts that later became memes I guess
wait what memeshit parts? I never noticed any stuff like that in the games, unless you count the parts that later became memes I guess
I'm mostly referring to the parts that later became memes which weren't actually Valve's fault but which were still annoying as hell.
He's saying the same thing because people are trying to change his opinion when really there is nothing more to what he says. He just doesn't think there should be another game and that is that. What more is there for him to say?
Well actually giving some logic for his opinion rather than repeating the same exact thing several times would be helpful. Especially when people were specifically asking why he thought that.
I actually like Baby Rosalina and Pink-Gold Peach in Mario Kart 8.
On the topic of Portal, I think they could do one game where you play as a military android and make it work.
The Vikings were one of the most advanced societies of their time.
The Vikings were one of the most advanced societies of their time.
eh, can be a bit hard to tell. Records from other societies may not have survived over time/ wasn't written down in the first place.
I couldn't care less about the abundance of security cameras around cities. Thousands of people see me do things every day, I consider that to be pretty much the same.
Also, in the rare case that I'm ever mugged or have something stolen from me, I'm sure as shit I'd want to whole thing to be filmed so whoever did it can be found 100 times easier.
The "If you have nothing to hide..." mentality is extremely dangerous
Would you mind explaining why? I often see that argument applied very selectively and rather hypocritically.
I'm fine with the "nothing to hide principle".
Of course, this should equally apply to the government. After all, they have nothing to hide.
Would you mind explaining why? I often see that argument applied very selectively and rather hypocritically.
Just because someone has nothing to hide doesn't mean they're comfortable with someone invading their privacy. Most people will view that sort of thing as constantly having some random stranger looking over their shoulder at what they're doing. And very few people would be alright with that even if they're doing nothing wrong.
The "If you have nothing to hide..." mentality is extremely dangerous
If the government starts wanting security cameras inside people's homes, that would be applicable. Getting mad that a (likely privately owned) security camera is recording you in public is just silly.
The Achaemenid Empire was way cooler than the Greek city states.
Representin' my home boys from the Senatus Populusque Romanus. Hail Caesar.
I think Skyrim looks really nice, grapically, at times. Particularly in the snowy areas where the trees are all covered in snow and glow in the sun, and also when a snowstorm starts and the gusts of wind make snow fly up. The Rift is also nice, where it seems to be eternally Autumn. Not to mention the auroras in the night sky.
Wrestling bores the crap out of me.

Iphones are way better then androids
wrong thread whoops
Fable 2 was fantastic. It was different from 1, sure, but still a really damn fine game and I don't feel it gets the appreciation it deserves solely because it tried something new.

Fable 2 was not good.
The combat was easy, it didn't seem to matter what type of fighting you wanted to do, the only difference between melee and ranged seems to be how far away you can be in order for the button mashing to be effective. You literally cannot die, going to 0 just gives you a scar that is almost completely inconsequential. Binary moral choice system which is about as token as they come and a pretty golden example of the ridiculous dichotomy that exists when binary moral choice systems are introduced. Copy-pasted NPCs with the same voice actor over and over. Absolutely silly character lifestyle thing where you get morbidly obese after eating four pies. Pointless and boring job system where you spent ages mashing the A button over and over again. NPC interaction showing an incredibly hollow system of human emotions (flex your arms and suddenly a random woman wants to marry you, yeah that's really sodding immersive).
Fable 2 has a good artstyle and a pretty well-presented and streamlined gameplay, but it feels like you've stepped into a pool at a Ritz hotel only to find that it's an inch deep.

wow, do you not get the metaphor of his beautiful imagery, it just paints a beautiful picture of a synecdoche coupled with some alluring sprinkles of litotes.
