Fable 2 was not good. The combat was easy, it didn't seem to matter what type of fighting you wanted to do, the only difference between melee and ranged seems to be how far away you can be in order for the button mashing to be effective. You literally cannot die, going to 0 just gives you a scar that is almost completely inconsequential. Binary moral choice system which is about as token as they come and a pretty golden example of the ridiculous dichotomy that exists when binary moral choice systems are introduced. Copy-pasted NPCs with the same voice actor over and over. Absolutely silly character lifestyle thing where you get morbidly obese after eating four pies. Pointless and boring job system where you spent ages mashing the A button over and over again. NPC interaction showing an incredibly hollow system of human emotions (flex your arms and suddenly a random woman wants to marry you, yeah that's really sodding immersive). Fable 2 has a good artstyle and a pretty well-presented and streamlined gameplay, but it feels like you've stepped into a pool at a Ritz hotel only to find that it's an inch deep.
Because the combat in Fable was so in depth and difficult. I beat Fable without any armour using just the stick, it isn't a hard game. Button mashing was never a valid tactic in any Fable game the enemy will just block, unlike Fable in Fable 2 you can actually do a heavy attack without waiting for a flourish to appear. Spamming attack with ranged weapons is a fucking stupid thing to do when aimed shots are far more effective. As for the rest, that was exactly the same in Fable. The moral choice system has always been meaningless. You can die in Fable but you'll probably be carrying 9 (dirt cheap) Resurrection Phials so that's a moot point. Fable had even less differentiation between NPCs, how many times did you hear "Oh Chicken Chaser, look at the chickens run!" every time you walked through Bowerstone? The character lifestyle shit was exactly the same too, eat a couple of pies and become huge, eat some tofu and become skinny, Fable 2 just fleshed it out a bit. The job system wasn't great but at least it was a way of getting money without abusing the crappy pub games, or waiting for rent. The NPC interaction was more complex and detailed in Fable 2 than it was in Fable. In Fable the people didn't even have preferences, you just had to do the exact same shit for everyone. Literally every one of your complaints is a problem with the first game too, and most of them were worse in Fable than they were in Fable 2. There are legitimate reason for preferring Fable over Fable 2, maybe you prefer the characters, the humour, the world, whatever, but complaining that the game was bad based on shit it improved is just stupid.
I didn't say Fable 1 was good but actually it's the only one I haven't played. I am assuming the series got progressively worse because Fable 3 was just tripe.
Google is the root of all evil, I really want someone to prove me wrong on this.
Google is the root of all evil, I really want someone to prove me wrong on this.
hitler was born before google
Google is the root of all evil, I really want someone to prove me wrong on this.
The burden of proof lies on your shoulders.
Google is the root of all evil, I really want someone to prove me wrong on this.
Google, or at least the service that google provides, isn't entirely evil, after all google was the first to put virtually unlimited amounts of mostly reliable information into people's hands
I liked Fable 3 I don't know why, I just did.
I still like to listen to gabber music. It makes me feel good for some reason.
Red Dead Redemption is better than any GTA(although I haven't played 5 yet)
Red Dead Redemption is better than any GTA(although I haven't played 5 yet)
never got the hype over it tbh. i liked what i played of it, but it was never as fun as most gta games. a big problem i have with it is the traveling; riding horses is just not as fun as driving over hills and through alleyways
I really like the atmosphere, I know it wasn't as chaotic as GTA but I don't care about that, I loved the story.
I really like the atmosphere, I know it wasn't as chaotic as GTA but I don't care about that, I loved the story.
Yeah, I actually liked free roaming in RDR compared to GTA. Haven't played 5, so I can't really compare to that one though. But in III, VC, SA, and IV, I got bored to tears of free roaming.
I enjoy E3 and find most of the games interesting, even things like Battlfield Hardline.
I enjoy E3 and find most of the games interesting, even things like Battlfield Hardline.
dice's sw: battlefront can't come out soon enough. it looks stunning from what i've seen
I enjoy E3 and find most of the games interesting, even things like Battlfield Hardline.
I hate reading just about anything about upcoming games, helps the game really surprise me when it's out. Such as the new world of warcraft expansion, besides the setting, I don't know shit about it really. though, when games are out I will take a look at some reviews first.
Ubisoft making one game with poor optimization does not make them the root of all evil.
Ubisoft making one game with poor optimization does not make them the root of all evil.
Sucks that they've made numerous games with poor optimization.
Sucks that they've made numerous games with poor optimization.
Still nobody hated them this much until Watch Dogs came out, since then it's all been the hipster effect in full swing, now that it's cool to hate something everyone acts like they always hated it, until Far Cry 4 comes out.

Ubi aren't anywhere near as bad as Activision or EA but they're no angels either.
Serious Sam 3's gunplay is really weak. The enemies feel like playdoh, their blood looks like paint, and their death animations aren't good enough to be convincing. Recommendations for mods that fix this would be really helpful.
the new CoD seems to have better design than some of the previous ones
Serious Sam 3's gunplay is really weak. The enemies feel like playdoh, their blood looks like paint, and their death animations aren't good enough to be convincing. I don't have any problems with Amiibo.
CoD:Black Ops is my favorite CoD, yes even more than CoD 4(which is a very very close 2nd). I play it to this day.
CoD:Black Ops is my favorite CoD, yes even more than CoD 4(which is a very very close 2nd). I play it to this day.
Oh hey I was about to post that. Yeah I really thought black ops was a good game too, it felt like an action move, a GOOD action movie
Iphones are way better then androids
iPhones have a way better presentation, but Androids are more capable.
I'm honestly not hyped for Mario Kart 8 or Smash in the slightest. However, all of my focus is on the new Zelda games, Pokemon OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire, and AssCreed Unity.
I don't like co-op video games. Every one else seems to like co-op games and some people even claim that crappy games are better with co-op. But I prefer the campaign portion of a game to be solo so that I can immerse myself in the world at my own pace.
