also using cropped pictures of hentai/otherwise sexual things/drawings as avatars is stupid.
I'm pretty sure this is a popular opinion
I'm pretty sure this is a popular opinion
It gets extremely tedious for me because I tend to browse FP using my Xbox at the living room. That's the only thing that annoys me, it can get easily mistaken as porn when it's just some dude using a nude character/picture/gif as avatar.
Ellen Page is terribly overrated.
Congratulations, when seano12 reads your post, his inner demon will be unleashed and you'll be paying the consequences.
I appear to be in the minority in believing that the general gunplay and balancing in Half-Life 2 was better than Half-Life 1. Soldiers in Half-Life 1 are the major reason I will never replay that game, and perfect reasoning as to why hitscan in the hands of enemy NPCs is pure bullshit in most games. Half-Life 2 got it right by just making hitscan attacks not really hurt that much in most instances. Seriously, in Black Mesa (which, in my opinion, wrongly chose to just straight-port a lot of the balancing from HL1) and Half-Life 1 default, my common strategy before I get stuff like the crossbow is to crouch behind door openings and just shotgun blast each squad member that walks through the door. It's the only consistently effective tactic, and therefor, the only tactic I need to use throughout most of the soldier sections, whereas in Half-Life 2 I can actually stay out in the open and gun down Combine and not die. It feels more satisfying, even if it's not as hard. I would prefer a satisfying game to a hard game, a hard game gets nothing out of me if the most-effective-tactic is one that isn't that satisfying to pull off and is clearly unintended. But I can't just NOT use the most effective tactic, because it's simple, easy, and it works -- everything else is not as reliable and thus not as fun.
Gunplay in Half Life 2 has to be the best I have ever seen. It's just so fun and nice to use and it feels so good.
Gunplay in Half Life 2 has to be the best I have ever seen. It's just so fun and nice to use and it feels so good.
I judge gunplay by how good the shotgun is. Half Life 2 has a fantastic shotgun, Half Life has a powerful shotgun that isn't really fun to use. Every game that has guns needs to have a shotgun, or if it's set before shotguns were a thing it needs a blunderbuss or something.
Shotguns are a scientifically approved way of determining a game's gunplay.
Capitalism is the reason why many things in the world are shit.

Pepsi tastes better than Coke
The United Nations is pointless in most regards to things. The UNSC has yet to do anything good for the world. The UN Human Rights council is a joke (they appointed Libya, even after the Lockerbie bombing)
The UNSC has yet to do anything good for the world.
Well they did save us from extinction that was pretty cool
The Wii U is better than the Xbone and PS4 by far. BY VERY VERY FAR.
Nintendo fucking sucks at marketing
Ellen Page is terribly overrated.
Take that back. Take that back NOW. Who do you think you are stating such a thing as if it were a fact? You are absolutely wrong. Yes I know she's gotten less cute as she has aged and turned into a lesbian, but that is not the real Ellen Page.
The real Ellen Page is the one that exists in my seven hundred page anime fanfiction~~~
And The Last of Us. Wait no, but the resemblance is there. The real Ellen Page only exists in pictures now and the movies named Inception and Juno. She will always be in my heart. And once upon a time I almost had a Ellen Page lookalike for a girlfriend but I blew it because I'm too awkward and I breathe through my mouth apparently. I need to get this image framed:

DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU GUYS. Anyways, content: Hunger Games is overrated.
Wait hold on why does Ellen Page being gay make her less cute
DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU GUYS. Anyways, content: Hunger Games is overrated.
I liked the second movie more than the first.
DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU GUYS. Anyways, content: Hunger Games is overrated.
The Hunger Games is one of my favorite dystopian novels since 1984. Although I disliked how it turned into a generic teenage love story, the lore behind Panem and its society is absolutely fascinating and I would've loved it so much more if it was more gritty and hopeless like 1984 was.
The Wii U is better than the Xbone and PS4 by far. BY VERY VERY FAR.
Yeah, if you have PC then Wii U is best choice by far.
DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU GUYS. Anyways, content: Hunger Games is overrated.
If you mean the movie, then how is that an unpopular opinion? Everyone is bashing on it.
If you mean the movie, then how is that an unpopular opinion? Everyone is bashing on it.
the first one got a lot of praise when it was released even though it was pretty average now it has died down a little especially since they made the second one so much better
Kenny G is fucking awesome
I don't think whaling is nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I do very strongly believe that whales that are vulnerable, endangered, or near threatened shouldn't be hunted, however, common whales for whaling (minke and humpback) are of least concern and have stable populations, and control measures to ensure stable populations would not be too hard to implement should they need to be implemented. I think a strong opposition to whaling comes from some kind of emotional argument - that because whales are somewhat intelligent and are perceived to be pretty or majestic, that they therefore shouldn't be hunted - which I think is a really poor excuse to support something and rarely means that the action is supporting the best interests of the planet and human society combined. I am actually more concerned about fishing industries that prey on vulnerable fish, such as tuna, sharks, and long-living deep-sea fish, which are very important to the ecosystem and are incredibly vulnerable and endangered currently (it doesn't help that most fishing techniques to catch these fish - tuna especially - end up with huge swathes of by-catch that are often composed of vulnerable or endangered species). Plus I bet whale and dolphin tastes fucking delicious.
Gunplay in Half Life 2 has to be the best I have ever seen. It's just so fun and nice to use and it feels so good.
Honestly I think Half Life 2's gunplay is pretty bad. It controls nicely but the enemies have no feedback when being shot. The #1 aspect when making satisfying gunplay is making your guns feel like that have actual power in them, through enemy reactions and crunchy, satis sounds. FEAR 1 checks that mark very nicely.
