some people prefer strategy games and rtses to fpses i know its incredible and hard to believe people have different tastes than you
He does have a point, Dota has it's farming phase, during which barely any action happens. If you're talking about chinese dota, the farming phase can drag on and on and on, it just isn't very fun to watch in most cases.
Also isn't this thread about having different tastes and expressing those tastes and opinions no matter how unpopular?
I hate cider.
My favourite Queen album was Made in Heaven.
I really don't understand why everyone is fanboying over Nintendo.
I don't like the Beatles that much
I liked Transformers 4
I don't like the Beatles that much
You're not my sock buddy anymore. [sp]just kidding that's your opinion and i respect it[/sp]
I really don't understand why everyone is fanboying over Nintendo.
I'm not saying that all of Nintendo's games are the same, but it's just a fact that Nintendo can get away with a lot more than other companies, and I think that's unfair. Like the EA headquarters would probably get bombed if they released two versions of a game for full prices that have unsubstantial differences between them, but Nintendo can get away with it with Pokemon X and Y.
Also isn't this thread about having different tastes and expressing those tastes and opinions no matter how unpopular?
Some opinions are based on outright wrong thinking or observations and therefore make themselves vulnerable to being argued against.
And what does him "singing a different song" about them have to do with anything :v: [editline]2nd July 2014[/editline] Like, is there a thread that I'm not following, or
he doesn't like that I don't think genders outside of the binary exist. I do however throw my full support to gays and transsexuals. he's basically trying to defraud my argument by using an unrelated opinion against me. oh and for the record my best friend in the world describes himself as pansexual. Although i don't necessarily believe that is something that exists, I still have the human decency to respect that. Because that's my philosophy in life, respect others no matter how much they disagree with you, or you disagree with them, or how much they piss you off. I mean Jesus Christ I'm friends with a guy who called me an eco-terrorist for having solar panels on my house.
I don't really like the type of metal where it's just screaming and guttural growling that sound vaguely like words from a demon possessed human.
The Elder Scrolls aren't as fun as people say they are. New Vegas was better than 3. Quake 2 is the best competitive shooter out of all the Quakes. While Chaos Theory and the older Splinter Cells are great, I had a lot more fun and think that Blacklist was overall a better game (only real complaint I have about Blacklist is that it could have been darker). Black Ops 2 was actually a pretty decent game. Garry's Mod as it is now is worse than what it was a few years ago. I'm fairly sure all of my friends disagree with me on these, not sure how unpopular/popular they are here.
Cider is the Alcoholics 2nd choice after rubbing alcohol [editline]3rd July 2014[/editline] Vocals ruin music
The amount of racism regarding immigrants to Europe is disgusting, and the amount of people who rally behind stuff like "If there's Maghreb Muslims in France, they didn't assimilate enough". It sounds like a group of hopped up eugenicists. This sort of language doesn't fly in the United States, but it's allowed in ~muh homogenous europ~.
Flag burning should be considered freedom of expression
Also isn't this thread about having different tastes and expressing those tastes and opinions no matter how unpopular?
Same premise as freedom of speech really. You have the right to say (basically) whatever you want but others have the right to call you out on it too.
I don't really like the type of metal where it's just screaming and guttural growling that sound vaguely like words from a demon possessed human.
Is this really that unpopular though? I know very few people who like that sort of thing.
some people prefer strategy games and rtses to fpses i know its incredible and hard to believe people have different tastes than you
MOBAs are hardly strategy games.
MOBAs are hardly strategy games.
Compared to RTS, yes. I enjoy RTS and FPS, but MOBA is just stripped down RTS. It's like CnC 4.
MOBAs are hardly strategy games.
There's disliking MOBAs and then there's just being wrong about MOBAs.
There's disliking MOBAs and then there's just being wrong about MOBAs.
There's also liking MOBAs and then there's just being wrong about MOBAs. While I won't deny that they have some similarities to RTS, with how watered down, or outright removed, the strategy elements are they really aren't primarily strategy anymore.
If you count positioning as strategy, it is a strategy game. If you don't, it's not. The concept is just that shallow.
I don't really like the type of metal where it's just screaming and guttural growling that sound vaguely like words from a demon possessed human.
here's an unpopular opinion: the type of metal where it's just screaming and guttural growling that sound vaguely like words from a demon possessed human can be good
I hate cider.
That's because there isn't any good cider available in grocery stores in Finland. Apart from Strongbow and Crowmoor in a pinch also you can get Savanna from Alko but that shit's expensive as fuck [editline]3rd July 2014[/editline]
If you count positioning as strategy, it is a strategy game. If you don't, it's not. The concept is just that shallow.
Individual combatant positioning is tactics. Strategy by definition in the context of MOBAs would be stuff like "Ok, guys this match we push right lane hard early game then mid-late we switch to left lane to throw them off balance."
I believe people get too caught up in the labels of things. Humans have too much of a tendency to see things as static and mutually exclusive, as opposed to a spectrum. Sexuality, Gender identity, stuff like that are all spectrums. It's why bi people can prefer one gender over the other, why someone can consider themselves bigender but usually pass as female, why a gay guy can be attracted to a woman every once in a while, stuff like that. There'll never be enough labels for everyone's identities and feelings because they're all spectrums, and I think realizing that would clear up conflict within and between pro and anti LGBT+ ideals. Even being sure of labels can be problematic, as everyone has different personal definitions and interpretations of various gender and sexuality labels.

This doesn't just cover what you're talking about but basically everything. Morality, conservatism/liberalism, etc.
