As has been said over and over and over and over and over and over, this thread isn't just for posting opinions and never being opposed on them. If you post something and post no explanation then there is no issue whatsoever with people asking for your logic on the matter.
And yet over half the posts in this thread are like that and barely anybody bitches about it
Nirvana, its good music but it's not "Rolling Stone cover" good. Listening to them has become a guilty pleasure because of all the "hurr kurt is the rock martyr" nonsense I hear.
Gonna sound like a dickhead here but I'l throw it out there: That shit's mostly from people who've only listened to the two or three more popular songs. The kind of people who'd wear a band shirt but only know one of the members if he stood out for some reason. The people who think blink 182 is 'good' and 'punk' and watch music TV. Seriously; My friend puts this channel called 'kerrang' on. It isn't rock. I'm not normally the dickhead who shoves his musical tastes and knowledge through peoples ears; But stuff like that irks me.

Now that's still fine if Kerrang was playing Jazz or Dubstep artists, but since they're a rock-only channel calling it 'not rock' is pretty annoying and reminds me of militant dadrockers in the way that they criticize modern rock as 'not real rock' which is so stupid
Yeah rock is really diverese. Like, Franz Ferdinand went from doing Post-Punk Revival stuff (if you heard it you'd go "Yeah, that's like traditional Rock") to Electronic Rock. Not the biggest fan of the new stuff, but personally I feel that if a band doesn't change their style at all they become stale and musically boring. So honestly, I'm glad they've tried new stuff.
I like the zelda games but Jesus Christ the music really gets on my nerves. All of the tracks, especially the ones from OoT, are so overplayed that I can't hear them without groaning
Man, if you hang out with people who legitimately get annoyed or find your music taste a subject matter to take the piss out of then maybe you need to meet new people. Like yeah there can be some humour to it but if people are legitimately seeing you as lesser for liking something mainstream or not within their spectrum then in my honest opinion they can fuck right off.
Uplay isn't as much of an issue as many people make it out to be. In some cases, it has some features that Steam could use. For example, many games do not unlock Achievements while in offline mode. When you go back online they do not unlock at all, and you'd either have to redo whatever it is you did, or just deal without the achievement. With Uplay, it unlocks it once you come online. Uplay also has a setting where it will take a screenshot automatically when you unlcok and achievement. Steam could benefit from those two things.
people who post stuff they know will get lots of agrees in the thread for unpopular opinions are the scum of the earth and should go away this includes me, right now
Basketball is a better sport than Football/Soccer Come on and slam and welcome to the jam
Blackjack is the ultimate sport tbh
I also hate The Doors and The Cure.

He stared bringing around the Satanic Bible wherever he went and he cut himself. Needless to say I stopped being friends with him. EW.
I liked Kerrang but they did get a lot more Metalcore-y I like Scuzz now, but then again you may dislike that as well since it's mostly pop-punk....and....maybe...nu-metal, SOME of it's ok though.
steam is terrible and i hate it
steam is terrible and i hate it
SSSSHHHH they own all your games, don't anger Valve!
I had no problem with the latest Sequelitis. Or Arin Hanson, for that matter.
Shrek will is the best meme of our generation
I remember I was on some rock website (might've been Kerrang) and all of a sudden I hear: IM NOT OKKAAAAAYYYYYY blasting out of my speakers. Turns out it was some ad for an upcoming MCR concert. I nearly jumped out of my seat I was so scared.
I personally like Gone Home and feel the vast majority of people complaining about it receives is little more than discounting everything it does because gay people are icky lol we r lejun czech ur privlege Now, Gone Home has a lot wrong with it but arguments directed at it regarding whether or not it's a game are largely self defeating and delivered with what I believe to be the intent of giving faux-legitimacey to people not liking it because l̶e̶s̶b̶i̶a̶n̶s̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g I̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶d̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶j̶e̶n̶n̶y̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶h̶e̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶e̶a̶m sjws are trying to invade our perfect post-sufferage society where feminism is totally pointless and w̶o̶m̶e̶n̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶w̶h̶o̶r̶e̶s̶ ̶w̶h̶o̶ ̶o̶n̶l̶y̶ ̶w̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶a̶s̶s̶h̶o̶l̶e̶s̶ ̶i̶n̶s̶t̶e̶a̶d̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶n̶i̶c̶e̶ ̶g̶u̶y̶s̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶m̶e the LGBTQMNOP pc womyn police want to arrest my penis on charges of rape e̶v̶e̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶f̶u̶c̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶a̶b̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶l̶e̶s̶b̶i̶a̶n̶s̶ ̶c̶o̶m̶e̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶m̶a̶s̶s̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶f̶u̶c̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶d̶e̶a̶l̶ ̶s̶t̶o̶p̶ ̶m̶a̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶o̶n̶e̶
People expected too much from things like Gone Home. They should treat it more like a visual novel or even an interactive movie but instead they're expecting a full-fledged game. They tend to completely miss the part where the important part is the story not the gameplay.
im sick of valve making their games goofy at the expense of atmosphere
im sick of valve making their games goofy at the expense of atmosphere
goofy games still have atmospheres though? they're just... goofier atmospheres
The American version of Wilfred is great

Also Gone Home costs 20€, so I think it was reasonable for people to expect a bit more than what they got. For that price you can usually get an actual full-fledged game.
im sick of valve making their games goofy at the expense of atmosphere
Half life 2 and it's episodes just wouldn't have been as great if not for the shitheadedly great lines that the rebels spout. L4d2... Just ignore the carnival and the gnome. But like... the end of the mankind... humour is all you have. I can only realy agree with you on portal 2. Funny; yes. dark and serious? Far less so. The original portal was much more "atmospheric" and consistent.
Why get a job when you can get on autism benefits?
What? Is that some kind of joke? I seriously doubt autism is as prevalent as it is frequently joked that it is on here and that isn't even funny, it's ableist as fuck.

The humor was far more subtle back in 2007, it was like a very illogical James Bond movie, but still a James Bond movie on the surface. Nowadays it's more in-your-face humor with wizards and lead-poisoned cheesy idiot characters.
I'm not a music snob by any means but how the hell can you call Parkway Drive rock?
Because metalcore is a genre of metal, and metal is a genre of rock, that's why.
Because metalcore is a genre of metal, and metal is a genre of rock, that's why.
metal was born from blues rock but it shouldn't really be classified as a genre of rock anymore also, metalcore is hardcore punk with a bit of metal thrown in, it's more a punk subgenre than a metal subgenre
I was browsing the fallout general when suddenly straw poll figured it'd fit in here.
