Furthermore even if music stops becoming a thing made in our various societies, there will always be another society making music.
What?
Music is dead, and anyone that argues against that is in serious denial.
boo hoo mtv doesn't play music anymore
On the topic of music, Duran Duran are the best band of the 80s
Im not even kidding when I say this, chocolate milk and mountain dew is possibly the best drinkable liquid combination out there. It tastes just like dew when you drink it but then the after taste is pure chocolate.
this actually sounds pretty nice
Music is dead, and anyone that argues against that is in serious denial.
I really don't get this is this one of those fake nostalgia, rose-tinted glasses "Oh man pop music from the seventies is so good aaugh my dick" things? Music's pretty alive now and it's the same quality, forty years from now the same current pop and rock music you hate will be revered and treated like how you treat old pop and rock music Like when people say shit like "buhh music is dead" it just reminds me of 12-year-olds that are just now growing out of pop music but haven't found underground music yet If you think music is dead, look around, listen to more music, because you're obviously not looking at the big picture If you're actually interested, there's a guy named Anthony Fantano who does reviews of less popular music. He's turned me on to a bunch of new stuff. https://www.youtube.com/user/theneedledrop
Music is dead, and anyone that argues against that is in serious denial.
I'm always finding new music to listen to, of all sorts of genres. Andrew Jackson Jihad (Anti-Folk) and Pig with the Face of a Boy (Anti-Folk) are two that I recently added to my listening list. My friend also introduced me to The Mountain Goats. I listen to a variety of metal and other genres. To claim that music is 'dead' by any stretch of the word is idiotic. Not to say there is dumb music in this generation, but to deny there being dumb music in the 'AWESOME' decades of past is stupid. We just don't remember the bad music from those times BECAUSE IT WAS BAD. Seriously, if a band can write a song about the history of the Soviet Union through the eyes of a humble worker set to the melody from Tetris, than music is far from dead. Or taking the love of your life to a cock fight. In fact, it's more alive and creative than before.
VR is a total gimmick, I hope it never replaces conventional screens because I appreciate peripheral vision, and no retarded goggles could convince me otherwise.
While I think the Oculus Rift is still a bit of a gimmick I disagree that VR as a whole is a gimmick. It just needs more time to mature into a viable form of entertainment is all. 3d monitors and stuff like the 3d on the Nintendo 3ds however, that I think is a complete gimmick. Especially since it doesn't work at all for a fair chunk of the populace and causes others to start feeling ill. (Though that last one happens with the Oculus as well.)
Big publishers and record companies have a monopoly and don't need more money.
This is outright false. A lot of bands are starting to switch to the internet for distribution completely bypassing those monopolies and it's actually working out pretty well for them.
If I was a criminal and I got to choose between the death penalty and life imprisonment, I'd just choose the death penalty
Music is dead, and anyone that argues against that is in serious denial.
Just because you like old music doesn't mean music is dead it doesn't even mean the sort of music you like is dead, you just have to look around most of the good music in the world never ends up on the internet even today.
Music is dead, and anyone that argues against that is in serious denial.
*tips fedora* This man is right! I may be 13 but I wish I was born in le 90's the best era of music Now all we have is WRONG Direction, God if we give you justin GAYber will give us Kurt Cobain? i was born in #lewronggenartion
Music is dead, and anyone that argues against that is in serious denial.
lol
Music is dead, and anyone that argues against that is in serious denial.
Oh man, I can't wait to hear the conclusive, definitive, infallible arguments for this one.
Music is dead, and anyone that argues against that is in serious denial.
I may only be 5 years old but I can safely say I only listen to Queen because my generation sucks.
*tips fedora* This man is right!
I bet you've got a pink floyd shirt on under that trench coat too.
and under that a Beatles shirt
and under that a Beatles shirt
It's Tame Impala for me.
I actually love Tame Impala.
This is outright false. private banks are shit compared to federal credit unions
Well this seems pretty un-popular on here; Growling/Screaming/Harsh vocals in general is not talentless and anyone who says it is, let's see you do it.
The 80s sucked. Bad for movies (other than blockbusters), had some pretty awful music, terrible cars, terrible political events, awful styles, awful fads. Fuck the 80s.
Dune, two Star Wars movies, Aliens, Blade Runner... those are the first good things that came to mind. :v:
"Other than blockbusters". Either you were a massive fucking hit, or you were a lowly piece of shit.
Never knew that Blade Runner was a hit, it's barely known by anyone I know that's older than me (except my dad, he praises it). So sorry </3 Oh SHIT I forgot Willow came out 1988. That fucking movie, so good~
Dune, two Star Wars movies, Aliens, Blade Runner... those are the first good things that came to mind. :v:
For music, it's New Order, Nick Cave, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Madness and My Bloody Valentine for me!
Speaking a bit from my earlier post, what is with people and food combos? I know people who love to have a ham sandwich with potato chips on the side but you are suddenly the gross monster if you put your chips on the sandwich and eat it that way.
well it is the unpopular opinion thread.
well it is the unpopular opinion thread.
Yes, but not the "completely baseless opinion thread."
The "you are not allowed to criticize something unless you can do it too" mentality is terrible.
He said people call it talentless, so that mentality is actually fitting in this case. If it's "I dislike this movie" and someone says "I'd like to see you make a better movie" that's stupid
