Even if they had a valid reason to hate it why bother? It's a lot better expenditure of energy finding and listening to music you actually like instead.
It's pretty awful because those people often say "it's all just talking about clubs and drugs and partying". Just annoying af. You don't really have to like a genre at all, there are some genres I hate for no real reason, but I'll try not to put out reasons that make no sense.
I see a lot of these types of posts popping up these days. "You are not qualified to dislike X genre." being roughly what they say.
It's not about being qualified to listen to the genre, it's about not confining a diverse genre into "guns, bitches and bling" or claiming it's killing music.
People hating on Hip Hop? Do you live in the mid 90s? Who gives enough of a shit about Hip Hop to actively hate it? Either you like it or you ignore it from my experience.

People hating Hip Hop is more likely than you think.
Ask your average deeply entrenched metalhead or classic rock fan about their opinions on Hip Hop. Maybe you just know a lot of arseholes.
All of my friends listen to metal and rock and none of them have expressed any opinion regarding hip hop. Maybe you just know a lot of arseholes.
It's actually not uncommon at all for people to hate on genres they don't personally listen to rather than just focusing on the ones they do like instead.
It's actually not uncommon at all for people to hate on genres they don't personally listen to rather than just focusing on the ones they do like instead.
yeah if you're only experience with music fans is YouTube comments.
ZERO HOUR MASTERRACE! That aside, try some mods for ZH. Shockwave is pretty high quality and the new defenses are quite powerful,so buildings are a lot more important. And I gotta say,I personally never liked RA3 but I don't know why. 3 and ZH just kind of have a special ''thing'' or something which RA3 doesn't have.
Shockwave rocks, I loved Deathstrike in that one. As I said ZH really stands out from the other games, there's so much emphasis on micro. Completely different from everything before and even onwards, relative to CnC3. It's very much up there with RA3. Also microwave tanks can only disable buildings... Shows how much I know about the stuff. Meant Chinese ECM tank's vehicle-disabling ability.

Watching some competitive matches on the GeneralsGentlemen channel on YT they hardly even build a base, they just get a barracks or war factory and then sell their command center.
Ask your average deeply entrenched metalhead or classic rock fan about their opinions on Hip Hop. Clearly none of you are true music lovers considering I only listen to Queen.
Clearly none of you are true music lovers considering I only listen to Queen.
I only listen to The Grateful Dead
I never even realized it was supposed to be sexual :P
It wasn't supposed to be, but once again I saw where people were coming from so I changed it. :)
I see a lot of these types of posts popping up these days. "You are not qualified to dislike X genre." being roughly what they say. No sorry if a genre of music makes my fucking ears bleed then it makes my fucking ears bleed. Understanding the ~deepness~ of the lyrics or whatever stupid reason isn't going to change that. If a person makes an incorrect objective claim then yes you can call them out on that but if they don't like the way the music sounds then you have no right to tell them they are "wrong".
Sometimes you actually don't have a reason to dislike a genre though. Not saying anything about you or hiphop though. For example, someone hating dubstep because it has no rhythm after listening to one Skrillex song or something. Hating a very broad genre after hearing one song is a stupid thing to do tbh
For example I fucking hate rap. It makes my ears beg for mercy. To this some of you would reply "Well you can't say you don't like the whole genre because it's pretty varied". To that I would say that I am someone who likes orchestral ensembles and Irish folk music - do you really think I'm going to like rap? Answer: No, I'm not. It's not my thing and it never will be. Almost every aspect of any rap song I hear sounds absolutely horrendous to me and no amount of telling me "I'm wrong" will ever EVER change that. That is my musical preferences and I know them better than anyone else. I feel I can safely stamp the genre as something that I don't like. Period.
I really cannot imagine anyone listening to hip hop and actually having a physical/severe mental reaction to it unless it was like severely loud. I don't get how you can listen to something and your brain goes "NO NO NO NO NO", that's just fucking weird. A normal reaction would be like just sitting there and not really reacting at all, just sitting there going "this is pretty boring". I sorta get it with stuff thats pushing distortion like hardcore but hip hop? naaaaaah mate. (also heres some hiphop with irish folk music Here and Here) Your current music taste has no bearing on what new stuff you might like, I like metal, but I also love indonesian fucking gamelan music, and a load of other stuff. Is there any relation, hardly, I really doubt you've explored hip-hop if you hate every song you've found, because It's such a diverse genre (like metal) that if you rolled the dice and picked 6 acts that fall under the hip hop umbrella you'd find a heavy diversity in beats, influences, lyrical subject matter.
Clearly none of you are true music lovers considering I only listen to Queen.
I'm sorry, I'm having trouble hearing you over the beautiful voice of Caro Emerald.
I think it's dumb to hate something just because you don't enjoy something others do. Can't you just have a neutral stance? I don't enjoy baseball, I'm not going around saying it's terrible and that I hate it just because it's not my vibe.
For example, someone hating dubstep because it has no rhythm after listening to one Skrillex song or something. Hating a very broad genre after hearing one song is a stupid thing to do tbh
True, but I blame the people who make bad dubstep. I remember the first time a listened to a dubstep song it was literally just fucking noise and people got all buttmad when I said it was awful. But I eventually realized there was more to it than just that one "song".
I'm only fairly sure this is an unpopular opinion here, but whatever. I like Supermarioglitchy4's videos. For those of you who don't know, he makes Super Mario 64 videos, like the "bloopers" ones that were popular in 2007. The videos have generally immature humor but I enjoy them for some reason.
The Cat Girls thread is so laughable IMO. It's just a human. With cat ears. I'm not trashing it either. I genuinely don't see the turn on.
Just milk producing sacks of flesh on the chest ffs.

I was asking what's so good about adding ears to something, instantly making it hot.
Mate, I said I didn't mean any harm. I was asking what's so good about adding ears to something, instantly making it hot.
You just don't understand because you've never had an ear-job.
You just don't understand because you've never had an ear-job.
So you fucked your cat in the ear?
So you fucked your cat in the ear?
No of course not, that's disgusting. I fucked your cat in the ear.
classical music is underrated, especially the works of relatively unknown composers (or well known composers but their lesser known works)

Holodomor was not a genocide. It was just Stalin not giving a shit about peasants, kind of like the Irish "genocide" and the British Crown. Exploit the land, cripple its population and agriculture for a century.
