I miss the days were people were reluctant to talk about sex.
Like now, basically everything advertised has some sexual undertone. And don't give me that stupid fucking "It's natural, MAAAAAAN," bullshit. Taking a shit is also natural, but I don't flaunt that around all te fucking time.
Neville Chamberlain was a better Prime Minister than Winston Churchill
Chamberlain attempted to appease Hitler, hoping to avoid war while simply making himself look weak and manipulatable, subsequently leading to Hitler gaining the courage to launch the attacks, so I think Chamberlain was basically just as responsible for the war as Hitler.
Going to subway and getting a turkey sub on multigrain with swiss cheese, lettuce, pickles, onion, jalapenos, pepper and ranch dressing
apparently such a combination is disgusting, but I love it

But is it as good as a turkey sub on toasted multigrain bread with swiss, american, cheddar, lettuce, and chipotle sauce?

Being comfortable enough to talk about sex and using sex as an advertising tool are two different scenarios though.

Yes, and?
that women get more benefits that men
Yes, and?
That's all his post griped on, the use of sex in advertising.
I love being a selfish consumer whore

Yes, but they are still talking about it... Ish.
Facepunch seems to have an undying hatred for it
Facepunch hates a lot of things without proper reason. I just don't give a shit myself, and I'd recommend many to do the same. A good example is actually anime, Facepunch hates it, yet (while there are apologists) most fans of it just have the "your loss" atitude, which is a very good one.
I don't think that Let's players are bad in any way, although there are many that play boring games and put their face in the corner to make them look cool, I despise that.
But I subscribed to a lot of LPers that are actually good, they play more complex games and the commentary is very informative. It also helps me understand different games.
Most people aren't educated enough on certain things to have a valid political opinion.

You don't need to be educated to have an opinion.
I personally think you should take a test every election year.
Some cultures are clearly superior to others.
How can you even compare them?
With women now the bread winner in 40% of households, theres no reason for feminism to be in such an uproar.
Sometimes I see somebody cross a road with little regard for the traffic and think: "Just run him over, he/she will most likely never do it again."
You don't need to be educated to have an opinion.

I wouldn't say that taking a test every year would be an acceptable solution, because that would be something that would in a sense be narrowing peoples freedom, and would only be an attempt at tackling the symptoms of the problem, rather than the root of it all. Rather, we should look towards improving things like the education system, so that peoples opinions will correlate with all of the current scientific, sociological and psychological understandings, and will as a result have the ability to know what is best, so that progress will not be constrained by the ignorance that we largely see today, as a result of the lack of quality education.
When it comes to the facts, there are no opinions, so I believe that a fully educated society in the future would all agree with each other on most things regarding the well-being of all citizens, and will not debate between preferential dogmas, which are nothing more than a manifestation of differential aspects of knowledge and ignorance.
There are only opinions based on personal preference on trivial matters, and things that we do not currently understand; so differences in opinions on those matters should be the things that cause us to go through further trial and error, as to move towards uncovering the facts regarding them.
How can you even compare them?
Some people have the idea that cultures can be easily compacted into a few points and can be easily compared.
Wikileaks is just out for money and power and Julian Assange is a horrible human being with a bigger cult of personality than Kim Jong Un.

The "freedom" to be exploited for your labor is not freedom. I guess it's progress, though, rather than being stuck at home in the kitchen.
Property is theft!
The "freedom" to be exploited for your labor is not freedom. I guess it's progress, though, rather than being stuck at home in the kitchen.
Because all women are at home in the kitchen when they're not the bread winners. Really dude.
I guess the political opinions are beginning to make this thread a little heavy hearted.
So: I really don't think Sony is the white knight in this console war shit. They're just doing normal stuff that normal companies would do, nothing out of the ordinary, just because one choice is bad doesn't make the other one instantly and without question good (just in everyday life too).
With women now the bread winner in 40% of households, theres no reason for feminism to be in such an uproar.
The ''uproar'' doesn't evolve around that though; feminism wants to tackle the issues of unequal pay, sexism and gender roles (and more, a lot more).
I think the new Daft Punk album is over-rated and their older work was far superior.
Because all women are at home in the kitchen when they're not the bread winners. Really dude.
I didn't mean it like that, what I meant was in contrast to how it has been previously early-mid last century. Sorry if it wasn't clear!
Most people do not want the real Truth. We want whatever is convenient and comfortable to us as individuals.
nice highschool philosophy there brah
i don't hate muslims
i think they have the raddest style out of all religions
Black metal isn't a bad genre of music, even if most of the fans and musicians dress and act ridiculously.
