You can care about what someone's saying and still criticize their bad writing style.
Honestly there's zero excuse for writing like that here, there's no rush when writing posts, it takes 0.01 seconds to press shift + letter at the start of every word that needs an upper case letter, and the proper use of punctuation marks is something you should've picked up before you even made it to middle school. (Not saying you don't know the latter)
*your
*your
I'm pretty sure he didn't even use that word.
It's not writing like a Cambridge professor, it's writing like someone that graduated from public school.
Well aren't you Mr. Pick-holes-in-everything, lighten the fuck up. shit.
I also just timed the shift+letter pressing, which you claimed to take 0.01 seconds, bullshit, took me at least 11 seconds.
I prefer the 70s over the 80s.
There's nothing more fuckin' insufferable than a kid who thinks he's worth something because he can communicate in the way that he has been standardised to do so since about three years old.
Sorry, it was just too tempting to shoot you down! :v:
im so shot down, pls send help. I have been embarrassed :(
lol no
I think that listening to video game soundtracks outside of the games themselves is kind of embarrassing
With soundtracks coming from games like Hotline Miami, DMC: Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Rising, etc., it's hard not to.
I think that listening to video game soundtracks outside of the games themselves is kind of embarrassing
There are so many musicians that give their voice and music production to video games and movies, there are video games and movies that use music that wasn't meant to be FOR video games and movies. It's music, why does it matter, why would it be embarrassing?
90's best decade, the sports cars are the best looking, the games are the coolest, and there's really nice electronic music
presentation? to who? i'm not trying to impress anyone here I just come on facepunch to talk about video games and watch art threads
this isn't real life, I don't need to MLA format my posts and turn them in double spaced with 12 point font.
even if it affects my "presentation" i'm not sure i care too much if someone who focuses on superficial things like my usage of the shift key thinks badly of me
The impression that I get from people who type without any sort of capitalization or punctuation at all is someone who is trying to hard to seem like they don't care. Your presentation is your tone and attitude. That's like a basic part of communication and is far from something "superficial". Words alone do not communicate, context, tone, and presentation along with the words communicate your greater idea.
There's a huuuge difference between sitting at your computer with a thesaurus and grammar guide trying to act all 'smart' when you just come off as a pretentious dickbag. But generally speaking adding some punctuation at the end of your sentences and capitalization at the start of your sentences every now and then isn't going to hurt anyone, and in fact when you are being sarcastic/passive agressive/whatever other tone you want to get across people will most likely actually be able to understand you.

I mean look at this:
90s

The beautiful 80s

I may be biased because the car in the second picture is the exact model I own, though :v:
You picked a car that I'm already biased towards to show as the "worse" version. :v: That 90's Camaro is one I really like, since it was in Need for Speed 4, which I grew up on. Also, those 80's camaros are only driven by creepy methhead types around where I live, so I have this mental image of them being really trashy cars.
I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite car, maybe something old from like the 20's.
My favorite car is the one that gets me from point A to point B without exploding and killing me or someone else :v:
If your car doesn't kill at least one other person besides you when it explodes, it's probably broken.
My favorite car is the one that gets me from point A to point B without exploding and killing me or someone else :v:
My car goes from 0-5 kills in 3.6 seconds.

This is me with 40k "humor" in general. It just all seems so infantile now.
This is me with 40k "humor" in general. It just all seems so infantile now.
Agreed. I still very much love 40K but yeah, it basically all comes down to some stupid sexual joke and someone else screaming "HERESY"

Way to take all the fun out of it.
Short hair on women is lovely.
Short hair on women is lovely.
That's kind of... vague? It's like saying long hair is lovely/ugly. What specific style are you talking about?
That's kind of... vague? It's like saying long hair is lovely/ugly. What specific style are you talking about?
Short hair in general is fine. Lots of people put up too much of a fuss over it because they interpret it in such a negative way, like thinking a woman is a tomboy, or that she's mentally unstable, or a lesbian. All because she doesn't have long hair. Short hair is just as fine as long hair. Hell, even having no hair isn't a problem at all. It's just hair.
but what if i genuinely dont care
Well then I have a song for you.
Agreed. I still very much love 40K but yeah, it basically all comes down to some stupid sexual joke and someone else screaming "HERESY"
Agreed.
The only thing I like about 40k is the roleplaying system and painting/building of models.
Neromunda is pretty awesome, but very hard to find players for.

Well the lore itself is cool as fuck too, like the War of Dark Revelations (i have all this shit basically memorized), where the Deldar help the Tau fight off some niggas in exchange for some of their people and the Tau are like "Yeah that's cool, here you go" and don't question it until an entire planet goes missing and then they see blue cow Deldar constructs on the front lines and are all like "OH NO. OH NO NO THIS ISN'T COOL" and then the Deldar up and vanish with all their peeps.
Fun stuff.

The universe is just a lot of fun. But the community can be a bit of a turn off at times.
