Oh so it's okay for you to ignore topics and issues at hand like the income inequality in much of Eastern Europe and the horrendous living conditions for refugees in southern Turkey? I mean, wait, surely you care about those, right?
Sorry I didn't name off every single thing that is wrong with the world.
I have no idea what that song even is but this seems an odd claim for you to make considering you're like 13 or so iirc. At your age it seems extremely unlikely that you would actually be familiar enough with all the love songs released in the past ten years to make a claim like that.
I exaggerated for comedic effect I just really like that song even though Souljia Boy isn't actually very good but I like his stuff i listened to it for an hour straight an hour
Can someone explain gamersgate to me. I've seen some shit described before but I don't think I understood. People are fighting corruption in video game journalism and the journalists are saying gamers are sexist? Then some people got doxxed, what? Something about Phil fish?
If you want to get some background info go to that thread. I don't think we should pollute this thread with too much off-topic shit.
I exaggerated for comedic effect I just really like that song even though Souljia Boy isn't actually very good but I like his stuff i listened to it for an hour straight an hour
Universally renowned songs have long term value though, because you listened to it for one hour that doesn't mean it's the best love song ever.
So because I can't directly do anything about these things I should ignore them? I have had to explain to people what Ebola is. I still can't really tell what gamergate is about, there are like 100 different sides to it that say they are right. I'm sorry if it upsets you that I don't see the importance of "the corruption of video game journalism", an already joke of an industry that I don't understand why people still pay attention to. Nice assumption, it's not like I don't see a lot of pro gamergate people having an holier-than-thou attitude about the whole thing.
no one is saying you have to ignore them lol can you not think about more than one thing that is bad at a time? I don't like Ebola or Isis, and I don't like a lot of other things that go on in the world, but I can acknowledge that I also don't like it when people in the same field as me ruin the reputation of the name of that field, even if they're game journalists and I'm a music journalist, the term Journalist in general is being fucked over. Just because something isn't as serious as something else doesn't mean it should be completely ignored.
Universally renowned songs have long term value though, because you listened to it for one hour that doesn't mean it's the best love song ever.
that's why i listen to it an hour every day duh
that's why i listen to it an hour every day duh
What if it's just temporary music infatuation you'll probably stop in a few days/weeks
i was only making a bad joke there
Dunno how unpopular this is, but I think Patreon is a better site/system than Kickstarter in preeeeettty much every way. Like, with Kickstarter people are basically putting all their eggs in one basket. If the project ends up fucking up for whatever reason, everyone's fucked. The supporters don't get what they pledged, and the creator will probably never have a chance to make a project ever again, regardless of the reason for it not working. Now, with Patreon, you just throw in however many dollars you want into specific people, and they do whatever they want with that. Like, you can support game devs' projects at a more steady basis, and back out whenever you want. I'm not supporting the type of projects that I supported on Kickstarter, but there's a lot more shit to support overall. Right now I'm throwing a couple few dollars out of my paycheck towards a handful of artists. This lets them spend more time doing their art and less time having to pay for bills or do other bullshit. Some of these artists have milestones I've broken, putting me in the running for a chance at some exclusive streams, raffles for some goodies, etc. That's the kind of shit I like. Less risk for the backers, more fair for the creators.

Also I don't get the point of knife and hammer tests. Duh, if you slice up your phone with a knife, it'll get scratched. If you smash it with a hammer, the screen will get smashed. At least drop tests are somewhat realistic scenarios that show off durability.
An unreliable source of income like that sounds like it'd be a nightmare for developers.
For most people, it's just a small supplement. I don't personally know any patreon artists that live entirely off of the monthly payments, they usually do commissions in addition to that to pay the bills. As for games? Yeaaah, I guess Patreon isn't the best for them. Kickstarter's probably still the best. Still think that Patreon is, overall, better than Kickstarter for everything else.
Dunno how unpopular this is, but I think Patreon is a better site/system than Kickstarter in preeeeettty much every way.
The big point for Kickstarter, at least for games, was easy publicity. Even if you weren't expecting funding you could still get some buzz. Now that people are tired of Kickstarter news, the only advantage it has left is being more well known than the alternatives.

There is a NSFW flash game that is being financed through Patreon and is currently making $23,000 a month.
I think tea is a shit drink and coffee is god tier.
Beer is actually delicious
Beer is actually delicious
I don't know where you live, but that's usually the very popular opinion
alcohol tastes like piss
alcohol tastes like piss
That's kind of a broad statement mate, I'm not even at the drinking age but from what I've tasted there's tons of variety (One can drink under adult supervision in texas, I didn't get like drunk or anything)
I think tea is a shit drink and coffee is god tier.
I both agree and disagree. Both are shit.
Good tea is really good, but bad tea can be terrible. Coffee is fine, I don't drink it myself, but half the coffee I see people buy is essentially ice-cream with a drop of coffee at the bottom.
I don't know where you live, but that's usually the very popular opinion
really?! All i see is people saying it tastes horrible and people only drink it because they want to seem "manly" or "hardcore" which makes no sense to me. I actually genuinely enjoy it.
I feel like once you and your friends reach legal age for drinking (i mean idk how old you are so maybe you are already but im speaking from my experience) there is a lot less of that and people realise there is actually good tasting alcohol out there and you don't have to drink just to get absolutely pissed and the dumb elitism/trying to look cool thing goes away. but people myself included will still drink shitty alcohol to get drunk cos it's cheap obviously but people dont lie/try to be harder than the rest u know. its a total high school attitude.
alcohol tastes like piss
you fucking wot? I will actually cut you.
you fucking wot? I will actually cut you.
fight me
really?! All i see is people saying it tastes horrible and people only drink it because they want to seem "manly" or "hardcore" which makes no sense to me.
fight me
im not going to stoop to your level im just going to continue sipping on my double vodka and more vodka while you enjoy your warm ketchup and chilled soft drinks like a complete plebeian.
im not going to stoop to your level im just going to continue sipping on my double vodka and more vodka while you enjoy your warm ketchup and chilled soft drinks like a complete plebeian.
hey now i like cold ketchup and warm coke what now
hey now i like cold ketchup and warm coke what now
then you're still a plebeian. cold ketchup is superior How can you enjoy cold ketchup with a glass of warm coke? two different temperature items of those flavours don't mix.
hey now i like cold ketchup and warm coke what now
I don't like either of those things regardless of their temperature. fite me boyo
alcohol tastes like piss
So you've tasted piss so you can compare them?
