Can you think of any existing games where microtransactions made the single player a richer experience? For someone who doesn't care about saving a bit of cash, has there been an upside yet?
God damn where are you copy pasting from.
Oliver Cromwell is one of the greatest British politicians.
For me, the funniest moment in the entire movie is when Denham tells Driscoll where they're headed and he types the name with the most dramatic slo-mo, camera angles and audio effects.
Like holy shit guys, how much drama can you put in one moment?
I have the feeling all games coming out lately are pretty shit.

Mgsv my friend :~)
I hate the hl3 hype...
I hate the phrase "*thing* should be in *game* anyway", or complaining about DLC in general.
At what point does it become clear that DLC is industry standard because the overwhelming majority of players have bought additional content over nearly a decade of pre-order or post-launch content.
just because it's the standard doesn't mean it's good lol what a terrible attitude to have
Squishing up old, rotten meat and passing it off as "sausage" used to be a meat industry standard. People bought it for decades.
But then we changed that because it was fucking awful and immoral.
Literally not even slightly comparable, selling rotten meat is objectively bad whereas DLC can be fantastic, and honestly more often then not it's acceptable
Here's an unpopular opinion, I think DLC, more often then not, is perfectly fine, and people only get upset because they're cheapskates and don't want to spend more on the game then the $10 they got it for on a steam sale.
My issue with DLC is that right now developers seem to be looking at it not as an addition but as a core part of the game, so they can charge you £40, £50 for the game then another £25 (since season passes are big now...) on top so they can get more cash. They make DLC before the game even comes out, for day 1 release. Which is absolutely terrible if you ask me. That means they're literally just trying to squeeze every penny out of you. They have the content, they made it along with the rest of the game, but they decide to try and make you pay more so they lock off some of the game until you buy it. I'm not against the concept of DLC, DLC made after the game is out is fine, but it should be an afterthought- it should be along the lines of "Okay, we'll make our full game (DLC's often feel like parts of the full game..) and release it, and later down the line maybe we'll make some extra stuff to extend the life of this game and provide some additional content for the customer". If you ask me, Day 1 DLC is inherently not "additional content" because that implies it's already finished and you're just adding to it- Day 1 DLC is withholding the full game from you until you cought up extra cash. That's my big issue with the state of DLC right now. It's near enough exploiting the customer to pay more if they want to experience the full game.

When you do a greenlight pitch you're asked what your post-launch plan is. I've dealt with it enough I honestly don't care at this point.

Most season pass content isn't ripped from the game as everyone suggests. When you're about to ship you have a good two months of nothing for artists to do during rolloff so you might as well start on additional content.
That content isn't going to get packaged for launch. The only dlc I agree is terrible is retailer-specific guns and shit like that, because you have to move people around and it messes with scheduling and that's annoying as shit.

My problem with DLC is that an increasing amount of developers (see: DICE, Overkill, Ubisoft) are selling content that's meant to be a core part of the game as DLC, without so much as reducing the base price of the game, until BF4's "premium edition" release it cost $120 USD to get the full game.
Of course, not everyone is doing this, Burial at Sea for BioShock: Infinite was a great expansion, and Respawn have done a great job with their stance on Titanfall's DLC being maps only and core content like game modes being free updates.
dlc is trash but don't compare it to eating rotten meat lol
the rotten meat was something they didn't even tell people and can kill you whereas you don't even have to buy dlc
You didn't have to buy meat from the chain stores.
(most) People don't know they're getting ripped off. They just think "Oh yeah COOL, new WEAPONS!!"
Both have negative effects that people would rather not have.
Renegade, you're a bro, but it's a shit argument.
Bad meat killed countless people, both in the production and the selling. DLC to date has not actually killed anyone.
Even then, so what if people see a DLC with some new weapons and want it? That's their prerogative and not yours.
DLC kills people too
on the inside
That must be why I have a skeleton living inside of me right now.

missing the point, rotten meat was something they deceived people about, whereas DLC is labeled DLC so i know its bad
Your analogy really falls apart because you are just assuming that all DLC=Cut Content, which is obviously false.
Oh no I'm not.
Not all meat was rotten excess. Not all dlc is cut content. I'm talking about MOST of the meat.
Even day 1 dlc doesn't really have to be cut content btw. While you might not think that, many people do. There's a pretty sizeable period after the game is complete and the studio people deal with microsoft/sony/nintendo/valve/whatever to release it, that parts the perfect time to create dlc tbh.

My family was banished to Ireland for years because of him.
We served under his banner and that's how we were repaid.
Our only crime was drinking. That was it.
Most DLC ISN'T Cut Content though.
Yes, there have been instances of DLC that was cut content, and those few bad moments stick in peoples memories far better than normal, run of the mill DLC.
So I'd still say it's a shit argument (love u tho bby).

Oh no, how terrible.
Oh no, how terrible.
in the 17th century being banished to ireland was terrible, it was a pretty shit place. Compared to england at least
Oh no, how terrible.
At that time in history Ireland was filled with nothing but marshland. My family was primarily warriors, shepherds, smiths, and brewers at the time. It was extremely hard to make a living anywhere in Ireland, and since we couldn't return to our clansmen in Scotland, we were stuck in Ireland until Cromwell finally croaked.
The worst part is the holier-than-thou attitude LMAO Pics takes against the more traditional memes like doge and ragefaces. Post things like that and you will be destroyed with dumbs and possibly even banned, actually. You will be told that LMAO Pics isn't the place for stupid memes.
and then they go and just post their own instead. Often for page upon page upon page.
Lmao pics has some okay pictures but for the most part it's complete and utter idiocy.
"I hate overused pictures okay everyone, so here are some overused pictures of Postal banning people and unfunny edited comics. These are pretty funny right?"
I thought the Shawshank Redemption was ruined by the plot twist (spoiler: [sp]Andy Dufresne didn't actually kill his wife and her lover[/sp])
Batman was Tim Burton's magnum opus and none of his other films are as good as it.
[editline]26th October 2014[/editline]
Beetlejuice is his other magnum opus and I'd say it's on par with Batman
I thought the writing in Borderlands 2 was pretty great, and had very few problems with the game overall.
Borderlands 1: A lot of people think that Lilith is far and away the best character, but IMO all of the other characters have builds that are as good or better than her firefly/mercenary builds. Brick has Blastmaster, Roland has Shock Trooper/Commando, and Mordecai has Gunslinger. Also, she's just not very fun for me to play as.
Borderlands 2: ARs are awesome. I don't know why everyone sleeps on them.
Brick was the best in Borderlands
I completed the game with Brick(solo except for the last mission I went on a public co-op game) and he ended up becoming unstoppable
Bagpipes, particularly the Uilleann pipes are amazing instruments and I love the sounds they make.
