Corn tastes horrible.
Coke is the worst soda ever UGH.
Dr. Who really fucking sucks
Just because you're gay doesn't mean you're allowed to act like a total fucking pervert
Steam-Powered Giraffe, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Death Grips are all terrible Though I can understand why people like the first two, Death Grips is just straight unlistenable, to the point where it feels like it's a huge practical joke that I'm not in on.
Just because you're gay doesn't mean you're allowed to act like a total fucking pervert
a lot of gay people sexually harass women and think it's perfectly okay cos they aren't sexually attracted to them but it's still harassment. There's also a lot of misogyny in the male gay world, demeaning girls for being gross and shaming them etc. Its pretty awful.

This is what I mean Death Grips is so horrible, I'm just picturing literally the entire world all giggling to themselves "haha, no one actually likes Death Grips, we just say we do to make fun of you!"

Death Grips' music is insanely energetic and raw besides, they're not even near the harshest shit people enjoy, hell, i've enjoyed listening to some Merzbow too

My ex-stepdad's best friend was a gay guy and he'd always tell my sister that he thought she looked cute which easily came across as him hitting on her if you considered it like a straight guy telling her that. In his case though it was just that he didn't realize it would be interpreted that way when he meant it totally harmlessly, just simply as a compliment.
Okay, now I want to first of all establish that I'm not trying to say anything negative about Hideo Kojima as a person, or Metal Gear: Solid in regards to its gameplay mechanics, the former because from what I've seen he's actually a hell of a guy, the latter because I just don't like that type of game so I'm not really in a position to judge it. But: Metal Gear's writing and direction is garbage, there is no pacing whatsoever, it jumps between trying to be serious and humorous far too jarringly, and half the time its attempts at being serious are laughably desperate, the concepts are a jumbled mishmosh that feels like they added absolutely everything they could think of without ever stopping to think about whether it was a good idea. It's ironic that the franchise that made Kojima famous as a director has no direction.

Kojima had almost nothing to do with MGR:R, he didn't write it or anything. He was originally very involved since it was going to be another Metal Gear Solid game made by Kojima Productions (so him directing and writing, most likely) but they handed it over to Platinum Games instead. Kojima Productions' involvement was minimal from then on. but tbh i just finished the game today and I thought it was not that cringey at all. Silly, but not cringey. I mean it's a Platinum Game, I have expectations of what you get with Platinum games, they'll be cheesy and silly and over the top, they don't take themselves seriously. Their games are all tongue in cheek and they know exactly what they are. They always have cheesy dialogue and ridiculous set-pieces, but it's almost self-parody. I don't cringe, I just laugh along like I know the devs are laughing as they make it. And honestly the game got interesting and kinda deep as it went on, very good questioning morals and Raiden's character development was very impressive (all things considered, especially so) and really well done.
Kanye West is a good musician
I see little to no appeal in the Metal Gear series
"Your side is discouraging discussion by suppressing dissent" is not a valid argument when the 'dissent' is factually wrong. There is no point in sitting through or even having a debate on whether or not Missouri exists because no matter how well either side's argument is put together one side is objectively right and the other is objectively wrong and nothing of value is gained (and something potentially lost as uninformed viewers could actually think it's a debatable issue) by allowing the wrong side to give their argument, which is why people concerned with the state of Missouri would be better off spending their debate time on actual issues pertaining to Missouri.
MGR:R was cringey as fuck. "Your memes end here" "Now you're just being nasty" I wanted to die during that cutscene.
Honestly, I enjoyed the clumsily written cheesy dialogue.

But really the dumb shit baseless comments should just be ignored, but not blocked unless they're actively harmful (such as with threats, racism, etc.)
MGR:R was cringey as fuck. "Your memes end here" "Now you're just being nasty" I wanted to die during that cutscene.
I thought that the entirety of MGR:R was ridiculous, outlandish, and cheesy. And also the most fun I've had in a videogame in literally years, I absolutely love that game because it's so ridiculous and hammy. but hey, opinions is opinions. Also, I think Queen had a few songs that I just didn't really like. A lot of their songs are masterpieces, but sometimes people tout them as only making great songs and nothing else. Same goes for a lot of bands that people love, like Led Zeppelin. Especially Led Zeppelin, good lord they had some strange songs, and a couple that are just hard to listen to.
Honestly, I enjoyed the clumsily written cheesy dialogue.
I agree. Except when they introduced George, holy fuck, I've never had such an huge urge to beat the living shit out of a virtual kid. [sp]They should've left him dead when Raiden sliced the fucker.[/sp]
Half-Life: Blue Shift is the shittiest mod ever made.
As a huge fan of the Metal Gear series, I do have to agree that the pacing in most of the games are very bad (need I remind everyone of the hour long mission briefings in MGS4) and some aspects of the games are really retarded. Kojima isn't a very talented writer or director, but he's got a lot of creativity and he genuinely loves his work. The absurdity of the series is why it has a huge fanbase, and if it hadn't been for massive walking nuclear robots and black women with electromagnetic superpowers, it wouldn't be nearly as recognizable and probably would have fallen behind Splinter Cell years ago. Furthermore, there's actually a ton of depth behind the games, which can get pretty convoluted because Kojima can't deliver it expertly, but watching this (MGS2 spoilers) and reading stuff like this (MGS3 spoilers) really shows how much effort is put behind these cheesily written stories. [editline]15th November 2014[/editline] also they're pretty fun
MGR:R was cringey as fuck. "Your memes end here" "Now you're just being nasty" I wanted to die during that cutscene.
Are you telling me "how about fuck you, is that a meme?" isn't top tier writing [editline]15th November 2014[/editline] Kojima is very creative yes but I do genuinely think he is THE most talented game director for a lot of reasons- his writing may struggle to reach the sky high heights he wants all the time, but he never truly fails or falls flat, and there is always great charm in the writing. Mgs3 is the best game ever made imo, it has the best gameplay I've ever seen. Nothing tops it.
RoboCop > Blade Runner

i think tomato sauce is disgusting and ruins the taste of food sue me
i think tomato sauce is disgusting and ruins the taste of food sue me
fite me irl on an odd note though, I always like some form of sauce or gravy on a lot of the stuff I eat. Not just ketchup, for the record, but I really can't imagine why people would eat certain otherwise bland foods without gravies or sauces. Unless they had to for some reason like their health, but not on purpose.
