I think pokemon is complete shit
EDIT: Looks like I'm about 2-3 posts late
Henry Rollins is a pretentious asshole.
Double standards. Bonus points for the fact that everytime someone posts this opinion, someone will instantly come to defend against it.
What a dreadful fanbase Pokemon/Mario have.
The funny thing about Nintendo is that even if you delude yourself into thinking they're anywhere near Activision's level of rehashing, they're still the least anti-consumer developer in that budget range.
Really? I think most of nintendo's games do change enough to be worth buying, and at the very least they give some time before putting out another game in the series (not counting spinoffs. I'm talking main games).
like main console zelda games have like 3-4 years between each, even if they didn't change much that's be enough time for the old game to be off my mind and just be happy about the new content.
Most do change enough, like the Zelda games or Metroids. I'm referring more to Pokemon or Mario (including his 500 spin offs).

Oh no I don't think Pokémon's shit. I just hate the double standards of the community, eg. "Waaaa! Activision have published the same CoD shit as last year. Ooooo 'new' shiny pokemon game! What's changed? OMG you can run inside!" etc.

It's not a delusion. What has changed between X/Y and OR/AS? Nothing but minor details, just like Activision. Just because it's a remake doesn't excuse it, people would still get pissy at Activision if the next CoD was a remake of CoD4
Man or woman, if they hit me, I will hit them back-- harder.
Or you could take off your nostalgia goggles and face the music. I do like Pokemon, it's a fun RPG series and overall, I prefer it greatly over CoD. But I would be delusional if I said that the Pokemon games change more or in a better way compared to CoD.
Pokemon vs CoD:
New Pokemon - New guns
New continent/whatever - New maps
"New" story - New "story"
New mechanics, fixes and balance is shared
And the base gameplay always remains the same. Honestly, CoD might even mix it up a bit more...
A big difference is that the new Pokémon and regions aren't just reskins of the old ones, the maps and guns are. Pokémon also has a longer development cycle and admits to it when they're remaking an old game. If you're expecting games with completely different base mechanics then you shouldn't be playing games in the same series.
Actually come to think of it: Pokémon has done spinoffs with completely different mechanics like Rumble, Trozei, Ranger, and Mystery Dungeon
[editline]3rd January 2015[/editline]
And as for anti consumer policies I was referring more to how the most Nintendo has ever made someone do for more Pokémon is buy the games and occasionally walk into a gamestop, as opposed to CoD's barrage of DLC, microtransactions, and Mountain Dew.
the maps and guns are
U wot? I'm Pretty god damn sure every CoD release had new gun models and new maps
Both pokemon and call of duty take about 2 years to develop, cod just has 3 different studios working on the series at the same time so they can do yearly releases.
they're still the least anti-consumer developer in that budget range.
Yeah, no.
Mario 64 for the ds is still sold at 40 eur here, a 10 year old game hasn't dropped in price in. 10. Years. Every nintendo game will stay around their release price for as long as they're in print, nintendo is also the only company that still region locks their consoles
I dislike musical segments in movies. I don't know how to explain it properly, quite a lot of the Disney songs don't really seem to be that catchy for me and I find them annoying when they don't progress the story.
Only one I really seem to like is Hellfire from Notre Dame.
Man or woman, if they hit me, I will hit them back-- harder.
Man or woman, if they hit on you, will you hit back on them harder?
Henry Rollins is a pretentious asshole.
And Black Flag are one of the most overrated bands of all time
U wot? I'm Pretty god damn sure every CoD release had new gun models and new maps
Not if you look at the charts and numbers, quite a few CoD maps and guns are reskins of old ones, Pokémon are still managing to offer unique type, move, and stat combination. It's just a bit more evident because in Pokémon you can still catch the old ones, while in CoD you can't always.
Man or woman, if they hit on you, will you hit back on them harder?
SO hard they'll have to get a restraining order :v:
And Black Flag are one of the most overrated bands of all time
Naw, Black Flag owns, I just can't stand Rollins as a person.
its way better to not kill someone than it is to kill someone. and i'd way rather shoot someone in a limb than in their face/chest because then they can at least survive. and no, if someone has been shot they're not a threat.
Ok, no. With the right amount of adrenaline pumping through your body, you can shrug off bullets like they were fucking spitballs for a while. I've been shot before, it fucking hurts but you can still keep on keeping on.
Black flag and literally all 80s punk sucks idk why people still listen to it and I don't get why people say it's better than anything to come out of recent years hardcore in the 2010's is 100x better than the really bad stuff from the 80s. Any random hardcore band on bandcamp is better than the so called classic bands lol. idc if they did it first, their formula has been improved on and improved on over the years to the point where 80s punk and hardcore is totally obsolete
I believe deep down, everyone is a good person

Don't talk shit on the Clash
I think Adventure Time is overrated shit
What has changed between X/Y and OR/AS?
Why does a remake of an older game need to add new shit in addition to the new mechanics from the newest actual entry in the series? FireRed/LeafGreen really didn't add any new mechanics either. They used the Ruby/Sapphire mechanics and just remade R/B/Y with some new pokemon and a few new areas and a bit different story. That's exactly what they were going for and exactly what their fanbase wanted too.
Also, imo, DexNav is a pretty significant change at least.
Pokemon games are repetitive and boring.

M8 you have no fucking clue what you're talking about.
I think Adventure Time is overrated shit
I always found Regular Show to be better. I prefer the style of humor it has over Adventure Time's and I always found the childishness of Adventure Time to be somewhat contrived and inauthentic.

Glad I'm not the only one who felt that way about Regular Show over Adventure Time. Then again, I've become more interested lately in completely different shows like The Amazing World of Gumball and Secret Mountain Fort Awesome.
[editline]4th January 2015[/editline]
Adventure Time's whole coming of age concept really made it feel boring if I'm honest, the whole maturity thing takes away from the humor.
bring back superior shows like Billy and Mandy and Flapjack
Man if Flapjack and Chowder were still around that'd be fucking great.
Man if Flapjack and Chowder were still around that'd be fucking great.
Flapjack was fucked up man but I loved it. We need more hellishly nautical themed nightmare fuel.
Also Peppermint Larry is my waifu.

Shit, I miss Flapjack. It feels like the world has forgotten about that show too, but it was great.
I miss Chowder as well was one of the fewer shows on Cartoon Network that you could say was creative and funny at the same. Along with Megas XLR and Dexter's Lab.
bring back superior shows like Billy and Mandy and Flapjack
Superior? Nah. You probably meant Cow and Chicken, I.M. Weasel, Johnny Bravo, and some other ones that I swear look like they were by the same guy.
