Again, since it hasn't been answered, how?
Boring story, boring characters, flat acting, flat cinematography.
And I hate high fantasy.

Well there's your answer.
Putting Nutella and Chunky Peanut Butter on toast and then eating both slices like a sandwich is beautiful.
Even if I get diabetes.
This is why nobody likes you, because that sounds disgusting.
Wrong.
What is an opinion
like someone on fp would actually have a respectful understanding of opinions

wrong
Oh jeez, have you not heard of hard vs soft scifi?
Um, that's not what soft sci-fi is? Soft sci-fi is just sci-fi focused on the soft sciences as opposed to technology and that sort of stuff, and maybe it has a bit more leeway in terms of accuracy but it's still very much science based.
I'm indifferent from LOTR. I've watched them all and I thought they were ok. Over rated. Yes. Boring? Depends. If long winded stories and films are your thing then LOTR is for you.
Uhhh... You guys know they're books right? The movies are not all there is
Tolkien was a pretty good world-builder (lore, etc) but a shitty writer, in my opinion.

A movie has to be good on it's own, I shouldn't have to read a book because the director was too lazy to explains things like the book did.
Mint has no business being in chocolate

That's not what I meant, sure you can say you don't like the movies, but lotr is a lot more than that
Piano is the most beautiful and enjoyable instrument to listen to.

I was talking about the movies, not LOTR as a whole.
Tolkien was a pretty good world-builder (lore, etc) but a shitty writer, in my opinion.
Well, Tolkien considered writing more of a pastime/hobby in the first place. He was more of a historian than anything, and with LOTR and the other books that expanded on the lore, his main goal was, basically, to write his own set of mythology/made-up history. They just happened to become ridiculously popular and well-loved by fantasy nerds. So, I guess he accomplished his main goal in the first place :v:
I like Sremmlife
Opera is such an underrated piece of artful music :C
Opera is such an underrated piece of artful music :C
it's not really "underrated"
it's not really "underrated"
I guess in my experience, I haven't met anybody who likes it. :(

I hate amusement parks.
I hate amusement parks.
Same, but I only really love one: Silver Dollar City in Missouri, that's like the only perfect amusement park in the world.
I know this is probably one of those facepunch approved unpopular opinions that has been said before, but i just gotta say, nationalism is just terrible
They will NEVER outdo Lysandre's Theme. The most perfect pokemon song of all time.

I support complete legalization of all psychoactive substances so more money can fund government controlled addiction treatment and research. This is a technological application, defined by transhumanistic development of biological beings.
The Lord of the Rings movies are booooooooooooooooooring.
And I won't apologize for thinking this, I gave it a shot, I gave it numerous shots, it's just utterly, completely, wholly uninteresting to me and I have yet to actually stay awake through them, except for one time, and I gave up halfway through because I wasn't following what was happening. It's been years so maybe I'll give it another but I have just never really liked them.
Also the Original Star Trek series is, well, not 'bad', but it doesn't hold up well at all. Where Star Trek TNG quickly became a series that is still fully capable of being awesome today, TOS just has too many wrinkles.

Lord of the Rings? My recollection of my general experience behind watching these movies are associated with the words self-loathing decision-regretting patience-wearing time-sucking inconvenience that can be experienced.
I guess I'm saying I've gotten tired of them.
I dunno man, some drugs can fuck you up hard. I support the legalization of SOME psychoactive substances, some psychoactive drugs are just waaay too dangerous for anyone to be messing with.
like what? what drugs fuck you up hard?
[editline]10th January 2015[/editline]
imo most people have a fucked up opinion of drugs, the say "wow you did X drug, you're never going to anything in life" but obviously thats untrue

A couple of people I got to know during an involuntary visit to the rehabilitation clinic expressed the addiction potential of heroin to be so profound, just trying the substance would qualify you for the methadone program.
But do we help the victims of this spiritual and transhumanistic phenomena by criminalizing them? The only crime done is the wish to control the urges of your own bio-mechanical vessel.

You ever seen someone with a methamphetamine habit? That does some serious upfuckery physically, and that's not even mentioning shit like krokodil. If you wanna talk psychological and interpersonal then addiction of any sort can cause some serious harm.
