Nintendo killed themselves when they thought motion-control was the way to go, at least with the "non-casual" market.
I never really got used to the motion controls on the Wii but they are a fairly good idea when pulled off correctly. The Wii was overall a very good system in my opinion. The WiiU is as well even if there's not a huge selection of games for it yet.
Runescape can be fun as fuck and I still enjoy playing it now and then
Same, except I play old-school RS.
I don't get the hype behind any modern game. People base their knowledge of an upcoming game almost exclusively on carefully-crafted marketing bullshit which is made to look more appealing than the game really is. That is why companies spend enough on marketing to put them into a financial pit. They hope it pays off and gamers all go and buy it like sheep. Barring a few exceptions, pretty much every modern game is marketed like this. There is no demo or preview version which you can try before you buy or pre-order. Hell, even "beta" programs are becoming harder to find and/or harder to get into. Meaning only a select few get access and most of them will be press and they will all be embargoed to hell and back anyway. I don't get how people can get hyped up enough to jizz their pants or pre-order a game when they know nothing about it. Yeah I know that has nothing to do with what you said - but I guess it's another unpopular opinion. :v:
I usually set the lowest expectations possible when it comes to new releases, that way if its complete shit I don't get disappointed and if the game turns out to be awesome its a pleasant surprise Unless its Grand Theft Auto, instant preorder
Not enough games have demos. I haven't played any demo of an AAA game since 2008.
fuck camping there's a bar down the street there's a firepit in my backyard there's a fresh pair of socks upstairs people died so we could have this
Not enough games have demos. I haven't played any demo of an AAA game since 2008.
One of the most valid arguments I think there is for piracy is this here. I don't give a shit what people say, simply watching a gameplay video is nowhere near the same as being able to try the game yourself. I've gotten a number of games because they looked good from videos only for it to turn out they control like ass. If your game is so shitty that you don't want to release a demo out of fear of losing sales [del]games[/del] them make a game that isn't shit.
Albertan summers are the god damn worst, or maybe its just me...
They're pretty horrible but that wonderful wind is a blessing. You should try going to a tropical country. It was the rainy season and I still stayed inside fanning myself because of the heat.
Really unpopular one here I think the Vita is better than the 3ds Simply because I'm not fucking 10 years old and I want to play Hotline Miami rather than Mario I just think if Sony made more games for Vita and dropped the price it would actually take off, right now its just too expensive for what you can get on it right now, I got one for a bargain and its great. The screen and graphics are leaps and bounds better than anything I've seen nintendo produce on their handhelds; when LittleBigPlanet vita looks almost identical to its console counterpart it really does put the 2005 DS graphics to shame
Deathmatch modes in multiplayer games tend to be boring as hell and I would much rather play a gamemode with an actual objective.
i am king of oify and king of gdi

Well, after beating that last mission in The Last of Us and going to the thread, I can say this is unpopular. Spoilers, in case you didn't know [sp] I do not think Joel did the right thing at all. It was clear Ellie wanted to do the surgery, considering that, even when Joel offered to turn back, she had them press onward. She knew that there was likely no chance at surviving any operation for finding a cure but she knew that was the right choice. Marlene wasn't some kind of "selfish bitch" like everyone in that thread was making her out to be. She didn't want to get killed because she could still continue the project without Ellie like they had been for years. And there was nothing suggesting there was other immune people at all. All the tapes said was that they had been trying to find a cure, something that was explained fairly early into the game. Ellie wasn't their first try at finding a cure, but she was their best bet at doing so.[/sp]
I like MGS Raiden. Yeah he's a massive dweeb, and he's certainly not cool like Kojima wants us to think, but I like this character.
I don't give 2 fucks about the Steam summer sale
I enjoyed playing Blue Shift and Opposing force.
I enjoyed playing Blue Shift and Opposing force.
Doubt that's an unpopular opinion, a ton of people enjoyed playing those 2
An unpopular opinion would be saying that Blue Shift is better than Opposing Force.
Rape jokes are not any more insensitive than murder, abortion or racist jokes. However this does not mean I support them either.
I don't give 2 fucks about the Steam summer sale
The whole "Wallet, get READY TO GET RAEPD!!!!!" shit isn't funny either.
Rape jokes are not any more insensitive than murder, abortion or racist jokes. [sub][sub]unfortunately most of us outgrow swing sets by the age of 13[/sub][/sub]
I think the Vita is better than the 3ds Simply because I'm not fucking 10 years old and I want to play Hotline Miami rather than Mario
You make it sound like the 3DS is exclusively catered to ten year olds.
You make it sound like the 3DS is exclusively catered to ten year olds.
I can honestly say I don't know a single person below the age of 18 who owns one. One of the people I know who owns one is at least 25.
the Metroid Prime series was the best set of metroid games.
Preserving the environment and solving the various problems for it that have been created by us should be the top priority of 1st world governments.

It's just weird to me.

I must be the only one who finds Facepunch to be a hivemind and believes garry made all of them have awful lifestyles. Look at that 1k posts, time to celebrate.
Facepunch made me a better person.
Don't understand why people disagree with Venables being released from prison, he recieved his sentence from a judge who knows what he's doing, done his time, and despite the fact he may have done more crimes while out, you're innocent until proven guilty. Facebook hiveminds are the cancer killing individual thinking in the modern world, trends have reached the opinion of a person and is removing the need to even think of events and having your own view without the worry of judgement by the people you see every day. Social networking is subconciously ending an age of real social interaction while potentially enhancing it.
