I would not be surprised if people jump on the whole Trayvon Martin thing just as an excuse to riot and beat other people up.
I wouldn't at all.
Also all of that bullshit should have stayed the fuck in Florida and not spread to the rest of the country like it did.
I never liked George Carlin at all. I think he was an angry, cynical asshole. It annoys me to no end when people quote him as if he was some sort of genius or intellectual.
Have you seen all his stuff or just the later stuff? Some of the "religion is bullshit" stuff he did wasn't even really funny, it was just shocking at the time. I prefer his pre-1990 stuff personally before he became a bitter old man but even so a lot of points he raised in his later years, while not all that funny, could certainly be considered valid observations even if they are cynical.
This for example is more social commentary than comedy but still pulls some good punches:

Are you the kind of person who gets annoyed when someone uses the word "pretentious"?

Then they're pretty dumb; nobody rioted.

It happened last year in the UK, after someone (who was armed) was shot by a police officer.
I didn't think the Futurama episode with Fry's dog (Jurassic Bark) was that sad. Everyone always talks about how they bawled their eyes out, but I think I teared up more at "The Luck of the Fryish".
Anybody should be free to travel to, and live in any country on earth they wish.
People need to spend a lot more time/effort studying history, there's a lot to be learned from the past.
Facepunch users trying to get zing ratings by saying "OMG IM SO DONE!" ironically in reply to something from Tumblr is the worst thing.

I think a lot of people would agree with that statement.

Yeah, but with how few people who actually do it, it seems like a pretty unpopular idea.

One of my favorite rants of his is We Like War, specifically for the end.
Well, I tell you what. Now to balance the scale I would like to talk about some things that bring us together. Things that point out our similarities instead of our differences, because that's what you have been hearing in this country. Our differences that is all the media and the politicians are ever talking about things that separate us, things that make us different from one another. That is the way the ruling class operates in any society. They try to divide the rest of the people. They keep the lower and the middle classes fighting with each other, so that they the rich can run off with all the fucking money. Fairly simple thing, happens to work. You know, anything different that is what they are gonna talk about. Race, religion, ethnic and national background, jobs, income, education, social status, sexuality, anything they can do to keep us fighting with each other so that they can keep going to the bank. You know how I describe the economic and social classes in this country?
It's just people who don't care and don't want to put forth the effort to. But I wouldn't say anyone actually disagrees with the statement. Some people... a good chunk of the population, need a kick in the ass.
-wrong thread-
I liked the fourth Indiana Jones movie. Yes, aliens were weird, but for Christ's sake all of the other Indiana Jones movies have something exotic/magical happen. Are aliens really less plausible than ancient artifacts having magical powers? Sure the refrigerator scene should have been omitted, but the rest of the movie was fun. I may not be a guy with two foot tall hairstyle and a slight beard half coming on, but I think aliens would be more plausible than the other things. And the aliens were totally relevant to Central America.

I love that one, this guy had so much good stuff and I'm so disappointed that he died shortly after I began to discover comedy. You read his 'sortabiography'?
Arrested Development isn't funny to me.

That has to be the creme De la creme of hypocrisy.
I think Bioshock Infinite isn't that good.
Magicka is not an enjoyable experience, even with the cool concept and setting.
Sonic Heroes was a pretty good game.

That game just frustrated me to no end

People in the city just seem to be... so social-justice-y and stuff. They're not a group of people I particularly enjoy sharing the vote with.

Now you know how I feel about Richard Dawkins :D
That game just frustrated me to no end
I really want to like it but it has so many bugs and the controls are not intuitive, it requires a lot of skill though. Still sometimes it's just pure bullshit. I had so many issues and bugs running the game, besides the gameplay is not that smooth.
The humor is nice though, although you can't carry a whole game on references.
When chicks claim to be "hard core gamers" and only play facebook games.
Magicka is not an enjoyable experience, even with the cool concept and setting.
Depends, if you played it by yourself yea. Playing it with friends in multiplayer is fun as hell.

this isn't even an opinion
I played with my friends locally at a LAN. It was hilarious and funny, but from a gameplay standpoint of view it lacks some polish. We had tons of difficulties setting up a game and playing the adventure mode.
Challenges are fine though.

Iunno man. Saying that people in the cities should have less powers just because they support things you don't isn't really democratic.
I think 1 man = vote. Generally the way it goes with representation atm, rural peoples get slightly more power to their vote than those in the cities.
