Lol why don't we just remove democracy altogether and institute laws you like
Now you know how I feel about Richard Dawkins :D
Here's an unpopular opinion: Richard Dawkins is not an angry and pushy atheist like everyone seems to think and I don't see where people get that from. Sure he espouses atheism in books and what not but not in any way that justifies all the hate he gets. Look at the late Christopher Hitchens if you want to see a real angry, pushy atheist.
Finances/economics (of a basic kind, you don't want to overload people) should be mandatory in schools.
Along with English, and mathematics, knowing where money comes from, and how to use your money wisely, is one of the most important skills that should be common. (Especially for young people, who need this sort of experience).
fallout; new vegas isn't worth installing
Unregistered was the best user on Facepunch.

Woah woah woah woah, stop!
I value your opinion, but why is that?
Anyway, GDi didn't deserve to get deleted.
The Steam Summer Sales are blown massively out of proportion.

Depends on your HD size, how much upgrading said hard drive would cost, and how much you've already played the game (if you have at all).

I still don't understand how people managed to like him, especially when he turned into the biggest Islamophobe in the world after 9/11.

I always get so hyped but when the sales arrive its just the same shit that was on sale last year and the stuff worth buying is still really expensive
The only games I bought this year was stuff that was cheap last time but I didn't get round to
Probably been said, but Halo is not as good as everybody here of Facepunch purports it to be.
In fact, I would say the game is mediocre at best, with a slightly above average plot. It isn't that the game is good, it is that so many other offerings in the FPS genre were turning to shit as it came out. Hell, Halo may even be responsible for cementing things such as a two-weapon system and (partially) regenerating health (albeit it makes sense in context, but it is still fucking there)
I just hate how Facepunch gives Halo an easy ride when it is filled with the modern tropes of most military shooters. And I am saying this coming from the perspective of someone who played, and loved, these games as a kid. They hold nostalgic value for me, but they are not nearly as good as everybody says. Not bad by any means, but everyone here just ignores their (rather large) flaws.
Also, I liked Fallout 3's setting more than New Vegas. Bite me.
Halo 1 was a good solid game. There was nothing special about it.

Fallout 3 has a better setting than New Vegas because it doesn't have HUGE FUCKING KILLER WASPS. Fucking wasps.
The original Halo trilogy is the best, everything after that just lost my interest
Fallout 3's setting is far better than NV that isn't really an unpopular opinion, the whole city and DC setting was way better than a fuckload of desert and a tiny little craphole vegas strip in the middle of nowhere

I don't know, quite a few people liked New Vegas more.
It depends on how you define setting. If you include characters than yes, New Vegas would be better in my opinion (95% of 3's characters were grim psychopaths). If you include factions than New Vegas also did better, and even that is debatable (seriously, why did they remove random encounters? It made scouring the wasteland so much fun, running into patrols fighting mutants or teaming up with some random wastelanders to go fight a Deathclaw). If you include the feel and theme, well, that is where 3 wins in my opinion.
I like the dark, oppressive atmosphere of 3. It reminds me of STALKER or Metro (a game so depressing and dark I actually cannot bring myself to play it, even though I love it more than any man should love a game). I prefer dark and gritty to jolly and lighthearted. Don't get me wrong, New Vegas gets dark at times, but nothing can even come close to being as scary as that fucking Elementary School. It only helps in Fallout 3's favor that I had never even heard of Fallout before then (I never even had a gaming computer until about 2 years ago. I grew up on consoles) and I didn't know what to anticipate. Fallout 3 was the darkest, rudest game I had played at the time, and it drove the point home.
Kanye West is one of the greatest hip hop artists. His instrumentals are superb and his albums up until Watch the Throne's lyrics are quite witty and intelligent. You may not like the man or his personality, but his music is great.
Edit: This really isn't meant to be funny, fuck you.
A lot of people like the atmosphere of Fallout 3 more, I'm one of them, although by design New Vegas is superior in probably every way.
I can argue that Skyward Sword's motion controls shouldn't have been mandatory and that the pacing definitely could have been better, especially at the beginning, but I think the game's dungeon designs and bosses were really fresh for the series, and I loved the idea of Hero Mode. The game still needs skippable cutscenes and tutorials from the getgo, though.
I liked the first Bioshock more than Bioshock Infinite.
I actually think Adolf was a good guy.

Had he not been a racial supremacist, Adolf Hitler would now be looked upon as a great leader who got Germany out of the rut it was left in after World War 1.

No, because he still would've turned Germany into a dictatorship. But he did actually get Germany out of an economic downturn. But the thing he did to do that is what a lot of countries that are doing well today do. Unfortunately, if people talked about how Hitler brushed his teeth, people would stop brushing their teeth. Hitler was wrong about a lot of things, but he wasn't wrong about everything.
His economic policies were shit though.
Had he not gone to war, the German economy would have collapsed in the 1940s.

Here's an interesting paradox that I've noticed about talking about WWII pulling economies out of financial downturns, people who argue that point claim that government spending can't pull an economy out of a bad place. But if WWII is what pulled countries out of the Great Depression, then it means that government action pulled countries out of economic downturns. While massive government spending cannot and should not be the basis for an economy, sometimes it works.
If that's not the argument you were about to/trying to make, then sorry for grouping you with other people. That wasn't really fair for me to do.
there will always be homofobia, racism and sexism, and people who think they can change the world are retards
I know this isn't unpopular here, but I find that Reddit has the shittyest layout for a forums site of all time,

Keynesian policies are generally quite successful.
Only problem in Hitlers Germany is he fudged everything. He funded his policies by closing down Jewish banks and liquidating their assests. He printed money and tried to control inflation by deliberately keeping wages low. He also had women taken out of the workforce to make places for men, removed minorities (such as the Jews) from unemployment figures, and massively ramped up the size of the army.
Had he not gone to war, by the 1940s, most people would be unable to buy their consumer goods, savings would be ruined, nobody would be investing, and Hitler would at the very least be forced to either flee the country or have a coup.
I don't like the vast majority of rock music.
I also would rather live in a country where there's too much racism toward the majority (as a White guy, that sucks for me) than one where there's too much racism toward minorities. In fact, until the majority is doing disproportionately worse in SES (socioeconomic status), I don't regard racism toward a majority, of "reverse racism" a serious problem.
Also, don't worry about anecdotes about reverse racism. I went to a school with a population that was less than 50% white. Even now, my wife's Hispanic family makes jokes, even if they are affectionate and at times a little bit flirty (Soy un gringo guapo indeed, baby. They (my sister-in-law and my mother-in-law) also keep calling me a "mango" and for some reason it always sounds flirty. I still haven't remembered to ask my wife what that means.).
I'm giving myself an ego raise. But I like ego raises.
I fucking hate rap music and I have no idea how anyone could listen to it and enjoy it.
A good portion of rap music is shit (especially what's on the radio). But good rap music either leaves you thinking clearly, or relaxes you. It also, like reggae, has a sexual vibe that feels very human.
I don't think the unlimited resale of software licenses should be allowed.
