Assassin's Creed 4 doesn't look good. In fact, it looks like a big fucking cash in like Brotherhood and Revelations.
I fucking hate rap music and I have no idea how anyone could listen to it and enjoy it.
I come across a lot of people who think like this, not necessarily with rap but with just things in general; I don't understand it, I don't get this ignorant state of mind of "I don't like it how can anyone else like it", and it's always these people who act like assholes about it too, OMG you listen to METAL/RAP/JAZZ THAT IS SHIT YOU ARE SHIT.
Why is it hard to understand that people have other tastes than you?
Also not attacking you or anything, although I do happen to think you're a gigantic piece of shit(is that an unpopular opinion?)

I don't think patents and copyright encourage innovation a lot of the time. They are mostly used as tools of greed.
I don't think patents and copyright encourage innovation a lot of the time. They are mostly used as tools of greed.
I have to disagree since the whole idea of copyrights and patents is that they provide profit motive from innovation, if you actually look into, for example, the medical field just about all innovation attempts are driven by profit. Don't get me wrong they are plenty of times used for greed but they do still very much fulfill their purpose of incentivizing innovation.
I'm not really comfortable with the idea that just because somebody or a group of somebody's does a thing they should receive x million more than what it actually cost to do the thing while, even in the same country, others starve. Seems to me the incentive should be more about the collective gain of humanity from whatever it is they produced (if it actually has any value apart from being a mindless consumer product) and not personal selfish gain through the acquiring and the hoarding of capital.
The profit motive certainly provides incentive but, as we know very well, it is not always a good incentive and can inspire some pretty abhorrent things in addition to the valuable innovation that is often attributed to it.

For a variety of reasons, it's a broad and colourful genre and to make such a sweeping statement is incredibly ignorant.

Its just a yearly casual shitfest at this point
Assassins Creed 2 was incredibly mediocre and just dull, assassinating people included running up to them and doing a counter attack, you're not exactly the master of stealth and the free running itself requires literally no skill, just hold forward and sprint and let Ezio do all the work for you
Dishonored gave you fucking super powers and it requires more skill to assassinate people than ANYTHING in AC
I just got around to watching Blade Runner finally (little late, right?)
Well, maybe I went in expecting this fantastic amazing hit when what I found was it was really bad.
The plot was basic (and boring), the characters were terrible, the acting was bad (even on Harrison Ford's part, which I thought was surprising).
The only redeeming quality was that the setting still looks amazing even in today's modern movie age.

Most people who didn't patent their inventions ended up in crippling poverty and forgotten by the world.
I liked Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
I'm sorry, that came off as really snobby. I guess another way to put it would be that I just don't see the appeal. Even artists like Tupac and Notorious B.I.G don't do the trick for me.
Listen to Madvillainy.
Have your mind changed.
Kanye West is one of the greatest hip hop artists. His instrumentals are superb and his albums up until Watch the Throne's lyrics are quite witty and intelligent. You may not like the man or his personality, but his music is great.
It's true though.

Yeah, such is capitalism.
Iunno man. Saying that people in the cities should have less powers just because they support things you don't isn't really democratic.
I think 1 man = vote. Generally the way it goes with representation atm, rural peoples get slightly more power to their vote than those in the cities.
But our voting system is based on counties and shit, is it not? Whenever there is a majority in a county, the entire county is taken over by that one voting option. "Winner take all". So if the cities were always given so much representation, the rural areas that are part of the same county would not be able to get their vote through because the cities' votes will be applied to the rural areas given that there is a majority there.
No, equal representation is more fair.
ideally we would just stop grouping votes altogether and count each vote down to the individual, but nope! Government too lazy

If you're actually willing to try, you could listen to alt hip hop like Atmosphere, Heiruspecs or Sage Francis, they've got meaningful lyrics and usually have a much more relaxing/upbeat vibe to them(unlike Biggie), while not sounding too R&B(Tupac).
Payday 2 Beta, it is terrible. Cash generates slow as Hell, weapons are worthless, health depletes almost instantly and you cannot choose characters. I hope to God this is nothing like the full version.

Call of Duty isn't as bad of a franchise that everyone makes it out to be.
Call of Duty isn't as bad of a franchise that everyone makes it out to be.
While I'll say that Treyarch's games at least try, Activision has got all of COD's devs by the balls and none of them are courageous enough to freshen up the series with some new material
If you're not autistic enough to hate something for being successful, cod is alright. :)
I find very little that the Giant Bomb guys have done, funny.
It's true though.
Don't know why people are disagreeing considering Kanye's been a source of consistent, great music. To cut a long story short, the landscape of modern music would be quite different if it wasn't for his contributions.

Halo is pretty successful and I like it. So no. I'm sure you'll find that most people dislike COD because barely anything new is added between games.
Call of Duty isn't as bad of a franchise that everyone makes it out to be.
Call of Duty lost all of its appeal after CoD4.
Its been running on brand loyalty for 6 years.

But the problem is that in order to make the population equal in an urban district and a rural one, the rural one would need to be massive. This rural one would end up covering too many different places.
Alright, I'm gonna put this out here, and you're all going to hate me but,
I hate pokemon. I have an unknown hatred against the series for no reason.
Has that ever happened to anyone here? Hate something for absolutely no reason? That happened to me and pokemon. I played the games and tried the cards out as a kid and I FUCKING hated it.
