Eve Online does a very good job at simulating economics and a modern society, which is quite an accomplishement. Even if it's difficult to play and rather boring from a gameplay point of view.
I still admire the people that put effort in it.
GTA is a long time game while Saints Row is a few day long quick flame.
People who think the government can do no wrong are idiots.
So are people who think the government is just a giant spying corporation run by robots.

Well admittedly I think it is a monumental effort but the whole thing is like watching someone fart around at the NASDAQ.
However, the wars are the stuff of fucking legends, but they are too boring to watch in real time. I love hearing about them after the fact though. Shit sounds like an actual piece of history.

This isn't unpopular.
i actually like dubstep (not “skrillex“ dubstep)
I was referring to the post of BananaFoam that the game was boring as hell, I feel neutral towards the game.
Sensationalist headlines is a cesspool.
I think Super Mario Bros. 3 controls way too floaty to be enjoyable.
I also think that Super Mario Sunshine is the best 3D Mario title.
hunger games is a really overrated stupid ripoff that should be taken down from all screens, and banned forever.
It is the pussified version of Battle Royale.

It does have, in my opinion at least, the best level design of any of the 2d Marios. SMB3 with SMW's physics would be incredible.
Xen was my favorite section of Half-Life, especially right before the Nihilanth. It's hard as hell, but the environments are trippy and colorful ad there's a lot of challenging enemies and the whole place is stimulating.
I don't know if I'd call it my favorite part, but yeah I never had any problems with it. I liked Xen.
Heroin is good for your health.
Speaking of gay, I saw something somewhere that said something along the lines of
"Men are not born gay. This whole gay phenomena happened because girls started liking the hipsters who in return started to act more feminine. So, following that, to get with the ladies, you have to be more like one... making more and more perceived gay. This is not some religious battle and those who are gay can happily be gay- theres nothing wrong with that. To "fix" this, the young females have to start looking into the dark where the "unpopular" guys are... and will probably see that they are the better guys"
I dont know where I stand on that... but it was really cool to hear

I think it's one of the most unique sections on Facepunch. I know of no other webforum that has a newsection with such a balance between humor and serious discussion. Most other places where people can discuss international news are either extremely strict and proper or a chaotic mess of extremists shouting their opinions at eachother.
Sensationalist headlines is the only news section on any forum I know where people can have fun reading the news together. The setting is more reminicent of discussing the morning news with your friends/coworkers, than it is like taking part of a serious debate about society or politics (for which we have the Mass Debate section).

That's what Sensationalist Headlines is...

I don't think you understand what an opinion is.
I don't give a shit about what facepunch thinks and just post what I actually think, and encourage everyone to do the same.

Eh, so I'd take it that you're a firm believer that a few bad apples spoils the bunch?
Facepunch has a well balanced news section. It's not as serious and strict as the discussions on a news website, and it's not as offensive and chaotic as news discussions on 4chan or reddit. It's a balance between serious and entertaining, and I reckon it's probably one of the larger attractions on Facepunch. Because let's face it, Fast Threads ain't exactly a subsection that's very unique to Facepunch alone.

I don't believe in that at all and frankly I find it infuriating that so many people do. But the fact is that the majority of SH threads usually consist of extremists yelling at each other, albeit depending on the issue they're often yelling in unison.
Aside from the threads that end up debating feminism which inevitably always end up shitflinging competitions, I'd say you're wrong about those type of threads being common occurrences. Really, your generalization of the sensationalist headlines is terribly inaccurate to the experiences I usually have there. Maybe you've just had shit luck with the common audience to your particular interest in news.
I like Nickleback.
I think the marijuana legalization movement is getting super, super annoying. I'm tired of people going on and on about "Oh, well we can legalize it and tax it" or "B-but tobacco kills tons of people and it's legal!11". It's getting old, I wish these people would go on pubmed and read about what it does before spouting off about legalization.
I sincerely hate the drug culture and disagree totally with the recreational use of marijuana. And yes, I am implying that there are legitimate uses, and no, I'm not implying that I look down on people who smoke pot. Some of my idols (Carl Sagan and George Carlin) used it. But I just don't think it's good decision making.
I enjoy the newer seasons of The Simpsons.
That is actually a pretty witty response. While that's similar, it isn't quite the same thing. Legal firearm ownership offers almost no protection of rights (other than the the right to own the firearms) anymore. Expression, however, is, even if the government tries to suppress it. Without freedom of expression, there can be no functioning democracy,
That's correct; now we just need a functioning democracy :v:
and the more you are free to express, the more free a country tends to be. Firearms, however, do not hold the same power that they used to. And, even if people get in trouble, the people who leak information that is damning to the government have much more strength to insure our freedoms.
I don't want to sound like a "conspiracy theorist (ooh so scary)" here but all that hollowpoint ammo that the DHS is buying makes me think that firearms will be very useful for the general public sometime in the indeterminate future
Basically, freedom of expression has a stronger ability and is necessary to ensure freedoms, whereas firearms do not offer the same benefits.
Maybe so, but it doesn't mean that firearms can't back us up on the former
Also, thank you. Everyone loves cacodemons. How can anyone not?
Well given that its supposed to be an evil firebreathing demon, I would assume that most people who don't play DooM would find it ugly :C

I only thought of them as bullet-sponges.
I hate homosexuals
I think humanity is improving each generation, in knowledge understanding and tolerance, and everyday more and more people reject extremism, discrimination and ignorance.
I also think the political climate of a country drastically affects how religion is taught and practiced there, the government in the United Kingdom for example, doesn't have any major political party veering very far to the left or right, and as such Christians here are quite liberal in their teachings and it is an oddity to find highly conservative Christians in this country, however due to Islam being a relatively new religion in this country it has yet to become more accustomed to a fairly liberal political climate, as such it faces pressures on it's laws and teachings, in time however I believe Islam in the United Kingdom will become more liberal similar to Christianity.
