You say that now, while you're sitting at home at your computer, safe. You have no idea how'd you react until it happens to you.
I was in a motorcycle accident and broke my collarbone and nearly got ran over by some 'rand.

No, I know myself and how I would act. I'd call 911, and find somebody at the park.
i was at The melbourne show "it's a big fair thingo" and mum asked me and my brother if we wanted to go on the mad mouse. we were both keen until we realized it was $7. so we didn't go on and just got some showbags and went home. on the way home we saw like 3 ambulances. turns out me and my brother just missed out on going onto a 3 carriage pile up. :) lucky for us

To alcohol, the cause of; and solution to all of life's problems.
Agreed
Also don't bother quoting if I'm right above you
A few years ago, I was rear ended by an 18 wheeler on I-95 going through Baltimore. I was nearly stopped, he was doing about 50mph. Spun me into another car, and then into the jersey wall. If the truck had stayed with me and pushed me through, or if I had gone a bit faster into the wall, the car would have fallen about 400 feet into maybe 3 feet of water.
Pic of my car after:
Backwards chicken?
Lol no, that was after spinning a few times.
Part of a cement wall alongside my house came crashing down on me when I tried to climb it. Luckily, it only pinned my right hand and wrist fracturing some of the bones. I was able to get it off me using my left hand, but I was lucky it didn't come crashing down on my torso, else I would probably have been crushed.
Almost drowned when I went to the deep end when I was 5.
Weird thing is, I must have stayed down there for 5 minutes when I can hardly hold mine for 5.

I accidentally a breath, is that bad?
At 11 a backflip into the swimming pool went bad and I hit my head on the edge of the shore. Though the doctors suspected a skull fracture at first I got away with a stitch, making for the biggest damn cut I've ever seen treated with a single stitch (about 10 cm).
Decided to swim with my grandma watching me(5 at the time) after a while I decided to rest on a float. I was laying down, and all of a sudden, the float flipped over. It was a very deep pool, and my grandma wasn't in swimwear. She also didn't see my fall, until it was too late.
I could not swim, and was running out of air. I looked up into the sky, looking at the last thing I thought I would see. The sun looked so beatiful underwater. I felt my lungs bout to explode, and then all of a sudden with no control over myself, I started to swim.
I really don't know what happened, but that moment is still stuck my head.
I tried to do a backflip over a concrete floor.
... Yeah.
I tried to do a backflip over a concrete floor.
... Yeah.
That's your near death experience? Glad I stopped my friend from attempting one over concrete from a few feet. He was standing on a picnic bench, with concrete below and he thought he could do a backflip.
Almost did too, had I not realized what was going on.
Friends car set on fire.
Pics to prove.
Went to King's Island one year (I live about an hour away), decided to quit being a puss and force myself to ride all the roller coasters. Got on Face-Off (Now Invertigo), was shaking (because the way it works, you feel like you're going to fly off the fucking track), and the guys that walk by and check your harness came by and pushed on mine, then we started to climb... I noticed my seatbelt's end (backup for the harness's hydraulic locks) was ripped off and wasn't locked in at all, it couldn't, I would have had to tie it together (fat chance) and then once we dropped I felt the harness move upward more than everyone else's...
[img_thumb]http://cache.rcdb.com/pictures/picmax/p968.jpg[/img_thumb]
By this point, I'm shitting my pants.
I used my legs to grip the bottom of my seat (hang-down rollercoaster), and held on like there was no fucking tomorrow.
Once it was over, I was sweating, had chills running through my body, and ran out of the fucking station and have never ridden it since.
(if tl;dr for some people, long story short, I about fell out of a god damn rollercoaster.)
You know, if it had hydraulic locks on it, then you were probably not in much danger. As you said, the seat belt was there as a fail-safe, right?
You just ran off? Really? Were you there alone or what?
Got hit by a car. I slid across the tarmac onto the other side of the road. If there had been anything coming, I'd be dead.
really bad Pneumonia when i was 6 :/
Simple as that.
Me and my really good friend were walkin through this neighborhood trying to get back to my apartments a few years back and we got stopped by a man of hispanic descent. He was standing by his car and he asked us if we liked to get drunk or something and he said we were some cool dudes.
My friend asked him if he had any weed to sell us and he told us to come into his house and I strongly opposed to this I went anyway. Well long story short his friend stole our money and we sat in some shabby hispanic person's house with the thought of someone coming into his room and shanking us (me).
Rolling my car, getting stabbed, falling off a roof, getting jumped, almost drowned, OD'd about 5-7 times so far. More but I don't feel like typin it.
All in the same accident?!
It was dark, and I decied to the other side of the road. Just as I did so, a car came around a corner and was just a feet or two away from hitting me.
You guys would've fled too
I'd like to have seen how you reacted

Now, now. How'd you know reactions of other people? I once slipped with my motorcycle at 90 mph, and I reported the problem immediately as well.. To the medics, that is :v:
By the way, Metallica = god.
Was riding my bike when i was younger, Got ran over by a Honda, had to get a throat operation.
Good times
Was sitting by the kitchen table one summer night having a hot dog, with the window infront of me open. Between me and the window was one of those fancy lamps with the metal frames, either way, my mom was standing by the counter doing the dishes.
Suddenly everything lit up and I felt a shockwave coming from the center of the lamp.
Apparently a lightning strike had found its way through the open window gap (mind you, it wasn't a big gap) and went for me, the lamp saved me though as the lightning bolt dug into the metal lamp instead.
EDIT: Ibutsu reminded me when he mentioned drowning, that happened to me also when I was 6, I was out swimming with my school in a lake and the teachers were just standing there watching me nearly drown infront of the eyes of my mom.
was hiking with my family when i was 7, we were at the black hills, and i went on my own path (retard family) and found a baby snake...
i picked it up and it bit me, but didnt have any venom yet, i carried it away, (not sure why i didnt drop it) i was running with it, and heard my mom call, so i stopped in my tracks and ran back, its momma struck out when i stopped and it got its fangs stuck in my boots, and i ran dragging it back with me... luckiest shit ever
Almost drowned once when I was little.
Life (while short) really does flash before your eyes.
