Nope. The strip above was the last strip ever made by Bill watterson.
He stopped the strip because after years of legal battles over syndication, he got tired of the whole ordeal. He had the strip running for a few years and just thought it was its time.
Calvin and Hobbes was my childhood, i remember the damn comic so vividly, i have all the treasuries and collections, even the complete collection.

Open endings are the way to go, because even if they seem like a copout, you know you'd be much more upset if the writer committed to something you disagreed with completely. They just need to be thought out, that's all.
