Poll: If Steam offered a "physical to digital" service for games, would you use it?

Only if the games will be properly intergrated into steam (in other words I would be able to use shift + tab to bring up the steam menu)
because I really hate it when I'm playing a game that I didn't buy on steam (like AVP2, Theif, Halo etc) & I get a message from a friend, because then I have to wait like 5 minutes for the game to minimise, see that the message was something pointless like "lol P3N15!!!", sending them an angry message back for wasting my time, waiting another 5 minutes for the game to load properly, only to get yet another message from the same person telling me that they don't wanna be friends any more & waste even more of my time!
At least with a steam game like TF2, the message would show up normally.
I choose no. Steam is the worst idea ever. Years ago I bought HL2 and made an account on Steam. I stopped playing HL2, so got rid of steam. Now steam apparently deleted my account or some one hacked it in the years i was gone or something, because steam won't send a password reset or w/e to any of the emails I have ever had, so now I am stuck with a copy of HL2 that I can't play.
Oh & FordLord, just go to steam support & send them a message telling them that you're account has been hacked or whatever. It'll get sorted out eventually.
No, I hate DRM. That also means i'm losing my game. DRM means i don't really own it anymore.

Umm, if you launch the game through steam (you can add non-steam games to the list) the steam overlay should come up properly.
Voted no only staying true to the question. But I would register my games with steam if the list of registrable game contained most if not all game able to be bought from steam, because I hate switching disks, but I like to be able to install from the disk.
The only problem I can see, is if you get hacked. Then you have lost all your games.
This is why you choose a strong, totally random password that is totally unrelated to you.
I use this for my passwords.

I advise you do the same.
maaan of course i would use it! its annoying when people have a game on steam and you got the regular one and then you cant play multiplayer with them or get the DLC (cough borderlands cough).
