everything is outdated in 2 years, some things just more than others
a good 1080 would be outdated, but still very much a good card in 2 years that probably wouldn't even need replacing unless it died

yeah that's why i said the first thing about the 1080, it's strong and not as expensive as the titan even when they're closely matched
you can't really future proof yourself with graphics cards for more than a few years. you'll have to upgrade no matter what, so saving up for the best card at the time is the best idea since you can always just turn down some settings in a few years on the fancy games that come out later

you could also probably get away with an i5 instead of going for another i7, depends on what exactly you do
if it's just video games, an i5-6600 would do you fine for the next 5 or so years

higher base clock speed so you could probably squeeze more out of a 6600 when overclocking
whichever fits into budget, really. they're both high end processors that'll last you a good while, just if you're gonna upgrade you might as well try to get the best you can
if you have an i5-6500 then upgrading to a 6600 would be completely pointless

Was originally going to build it on the sand but the collisions messed up and the devs have said nothing about fixing it.
I'm feeling really down again. I think its because I've come to the realization that I'm tired of my life as it is now. When I finished high school I thought to myself "aw yeah, now I have all the time in the world to sit at home and play video games!". Now that I've been doing that for almost 6 months now I've come to realize that I miss high school. I miss having something to do every day. I miss having friends to talk to and hang out with. I miss having a reason to focus on something. Sure, when high school was in I whined and complained about it and how I wanted to stay at home, but I never knew how much I would miss it until it was gone. Yeah being at home is great, but I have no job and there is nothing to around here aside from video games. I've learned that I desperately need something new to do every day. It has to be something out of the house and I have to have a reason to go do it, cause if I take up a new hobby around the house I don't think I'm going to have enough motivation to keep doing it. I'm finding it hard enough to even play video games these days let alone finish them. I think if I don't have someone or something to give me a real reason to keep doing something, I'll stop doing it and fall back into a loop of wanting and needing to do something but never actually doing it.
I think what I'm trying to say is I need some variety in my life. All I do now is sleep till almost noon, wake up and fuck around on my computer until midnight or 1 in the morning and go to bed, repeat ad infinitum. Because I wake up so late I wind up eating my breakfast at around the same time everyone else eats lunch, and that screws with my eating schedule and I usually wind up only eating two meals a day with some snacks in between. My sleep schedule is fucked since I wake up so late in the day I'm too rested when it comes to going to sleep. I could simply stay up later in the night to counter-act this but I feel guilty about going to bed at 1 or 2 in the morning whereas the rest of my family goes to bed at 10-11 at night.
My life needs to change and I don't think that its going to be easy for me to change it on my own. I've already asked my dad to wake up before he goes to work so I can hopefully get my eating and sleeping schedules back on track. I'm looking into colleges in my area to see if they have any courses I would be able to take so I can do something every day. If I can't find anything for colleges I could try finding a job, but jobs around here are hard to come by if you don't have a car. I suppose I could always ask my grandpa if he needs any help working on his projects, that would definitely get me out of the house.
