I gotta ask how. haha
It happened a few years back, when i went to this media school, where we ran a local tv station. It wasn't a very large school, I think there were about 120 students, but they apparently still had a deal with the local police department that they could come out to the school a few times a year and do drug searches. It's good for the school and the cops gets to train their dogs, so it's a win-win situation, right? Not for the students, of course. I had some amphetamine in my wallet that day,I know that it was really stupid to bring it with me, but it was some leftovers from the weekend and I had completely forgotten about it. So out of nowhere our teacher tells us that everyone has to go to the cafeteria, sit down with your classmates and await further instructions. At this point I still haven't realized what's actually going down, so i just go out of the classroom and start walking down this long corridor to the cafeteria with the rest of my class. Two dudes next to me are talking about drug raids and how they apparently have them a few times a year. At this exact moment i realize that I'm carrying around a highly illegal substance in my back pocket. As soon as i heard that I turned around in an instant, resulting in me walking right into my teacher. He sees my worried expression and asks whats up. I said to him that I had got to go back inside the classroom and take care of something. He looked me straight in the eye and told me that he couldn't let me do that. I just kind shrugged my shoulders and started accepting whatever was going to happen to me. We all go to sit down and while we're waiting I can see patrol cars starting to park out in front of the school. They had of course brought dogs as well, so I knew that I was proper fucked. Another 5 minutes pass and I told my class that the dog would probably mark me, so that they wouldn't be too surprised when they would drag me out of there. Just before the cops enter through the schools main entry, the teacher from before goes over to me and tells me to hand over whatever. He probably thought what I had was hash, but I didn't really feel like explaining that to him right then and there, so I just quickly handed him my wallet, which he left with just as the cops came in. They do their thing, finds a single half-smoked joint and a gram of hash in a potted plant. They take out the suspects and leaves the school. At this point I'm pretty relieved, but also pretty sure that I'm going to be expelled when they realize that it wasn't hash but hard narcotics in my wallet. We all get let out and my teacher immediately approaches me and tells me that we need a talk in the school principals office. I shrug my shoulders for the second time and follow him into the office. They start out by telling me that they had locked my wallet in this giant ass safe, so that the dogs wouldn't be able to catch it's smell. I tell them that I'm very grateful for what they did and make sure to tell them that I understand they just saved me a criminal charge. Right after that, before they got to say anything, I also told them that I realized that they probably assumed what was in my possession was just hash, but that assumption was wrong and it was in fact amphetamine. They seemed a little shocked, so I also made sure to point out that it was leftovers which i had forgotten about. I didn't bring it with me to neither ingest it or sell it off. I told them to go fetch the wallet and take a look at how little amph there actually was in there themselves. They did and saw that there where only enough powder for a single line. We talked a little more about school attendance, my mother being manic-depressive and general drug usage. After chatting for about 10 minutes, the principal says that "there's no need to make a bad situation even worse" and let me off.
