This video just dont make it all up. But during the actual gameplay, you've found many dead bodies and taken photos of them. With this one, it really doesnt seem to be a whole different thing and la la la la la LAAAAAHHHHHSITTT!!! This one was still alive! I remember I maybe missed few heartbeats there :)

Generally the #1 rule of Stalker is to play in chronological order, that is SoC, CS and then CoP so you won't feel disappointed of SoC's graphics. Also avoid playing with mods for your first time [sp]and stay the fuck away from complete[/sp].

I've been a fan of STALKER all this time, I had no idea a sequel was planned and thrown away

it says that it's a graphics mod, but it changes a lot of the game's mechanics and makes it way too easy. It's a lot more fun to jump into it and learn by failing than to just mow everything down from the get-go, since the tense firefights are part of what makes STALKER, STALKER.
My first time playing STALKER, I got my ass handed to me twice by the first group of bandits before I learned how to shoot with the shitty starting pistol, then snuck by a group of military soldiers, killed some bandits, and then died when I got too close to a radioactive truck and didn't know how to cure radiation.
it was the most fun half-hour of my life.
