The spiders itself weren't the problem, the problem was there is one bit in metro when you're driving a railway car and can get out and explore. I wanted to get all the loot/notes so I tried doing it all. Except that one part where you are surrounded by webs everywhere and these spiders come out of the holes in the wall. The only time in a videogame that I was actually so creeped out that I didn't even want the loot and just got the fuck out of there.

they ruined the fun for me, I wanted to enjoy the dlc but these things are so op.
A enemy shouldn't be:
1. Fast as fuck
2. In packs
3. Have a really strong hit
4. Deliver a very good poison, if they don't kill you, and you lack antidotes you have to deal with the poison. You can't fast travel or sleep, so you need to spam stimpacks to live.
5. Hard to kill, with a mixture of speed and high health.
6. Have an okay attack speed.

Straight from the uncanny fucking valley. The terrible graphics make it only more alien and creepy to me for some reason.
Plus they were really tough to kill, so from a gameplay perspective they also got my blood pumping. The fact one of your most effective methods of taking them down came in the shape of a very time-limited buff only made encounters more frantic.
