While not particularly "scary", the level did set a great atmosphere and, to me, made them feel pretty intimidating. Especially the way they jumped out of their tubes and came flailing at you.

Imagine playing a game where the worst thing that could happen is battery running out. Other than that, you take your leisurely time and take in the sights. Until this motherfucker comes in at breakneck speed when you least expect it. The Grunt in Amnesia has nothing on him.

When I was a kid I had nightmares of playing Quake in E3M2 (I don't actually know if that's the right level, it's been like 15 years). In the dream I don't pickup the grenade launcher and I have no way to kill the zombies rising up out of the swamp. You put them down with your shotgun/nail gun and those bastards just get back up. Scared the hell out of me back then.

-The fucking black goo from condemned 2 (especially when you see half swallowed limbs in it, and the ceiling monster shit) -That part where you fall down off a catwalk and impale your leg on a spike, and have to defend yourself from a swarm of weird hallucination mutant things, with a fucking nail gun -That part in the last of us where one of bill's traps have you hanging from a chain, when the infected start coming as ellie tries to get you down. The enemies themselves arent too scary, but when you're near helpless it really makes you panic
