Actually it's everyone else around me, in real life and on the net that makes a fuss about my beard forcing me to think about it.
I just discovered that it looked best at 4mm because I shaved it at 4mm once.
I just grow a beard because I like having a beard and that's it. Then everyone else is obsessed by my beard. How manly it is. How fast it grows. How it's red. How it makes me look like a lumberjack. How it makes me look like a paedophile rapist. How it makes me look like a terrorist. How massive it is. How much older it makes me look.
People just can't stop commenting about it, and thus I can't get it out of my mind either.
